I was looking for Dr. Fosters updated information for a friend and all these memories came flooding back. He absolutely was the best surgeon I could of been blessed with. Another so called surgeon - never did his 'job', never removed the debris from the wound. This other dr. never did anything but sew it back on, stick me in a whirlpool for my hand everyday , and pumped me full of meds. Funny thing is he stopped the collection of the bill b/c he knew he screwed up. Not Dr. Stanley Foster - he was a blessings. Anyway, 6 weeks of being treated by the 1st dr.,my finger began to literally rot. I went to Dr. Foster on a Monday, I was in the OR the following morning. The office staff arranged everything within hours. Insurance, OR, anesthesia, etc.. He the removed the finger, cleaned the wound, re-attached the digit & within 6 weeks I had full movement. Important for a woman, right hand, pointer finger to be there & be healthy. I believe that I wouldn't of even had a finger left if I stayed with Dr. Douglas Wisch. I had smart lipo of my arms. He is a nice and gentle doctor, I have nothing but good things to say for him as a person but my surgery was a waste of money almost 6 months later and my arms show ZERO improvement in size, I will need liposuction done again to get any result. I would not trust this doctor with my life. If I were looking for a hair stylist or a psychologist, I might look for other characteristics, but I was looking for a surgeon. Dr. Foster was so careful, meticulous, diligent, attentive, spending time to listen carefully to my concerns and address them. I felt he always took as much time as I needed, rather than as much time as the insurance company was going to compensate him for. He did not rush, he did not force choices on me. I had a difficult recovery because of radiation years earlier, and he persevered to make sure I got the care I needed. He was very demanding of his staff. I imagine there are others easier to work for, but I am not interested in the social relationship between the doctor and his staff, I'm interested in whether everyone is doing their job carefully. I felt his staff were respectful of him and worked hard to make sure he was satisfied with the quality they were delivering. I do not care whether any of the staff's self esteem is wounded, I care about the quality of service. This isn't a social club. There was some changeover in the staff when I was there, but I understood he had a role in training staff. Interns turn over in hospitals too, does that make it bad hospital. I interviewed another plastic surgeon nearby and felt the rapport between the surgeon and staff was great, a real team effort... but there was far less careful listening to the patient going on... and to my surprise, I was scheduled for surgery without waiting for confirmation that I was choosing this surgeon. This indicates to me something lacking in the staff. Dr. Foster was very methodical, even in his explanations, he made sure nothing was glossed over or vaguely referred to. I was very happy with the quality of care he offered, and would recommend him to anyone concerned about infection and recovery. Once I waited for a long time in the waiting room, but I knew it was because he was giving another patient the extra care in difficult circumstances the time he had given me when I needed it. I went to this Doctor (hack) for tattoo removal and paid the full balance up front. I did some research on the procedure and trusted Dr. Foster to give me the results I was looking for. Big mistake. This doctor did not know how to work the machine properly. He started the first session without numbing. His assistant came into the room and told the Dr to put the cold air on to numb the area. On two sessions, the laser did not work and he had to reschedule. I received multiple bills from his office because he wasn't making enough money and felt that I was undercharged. That was quickly corrected. On one of my visits, the assistant said the doctor was getting rid of the machine because he wasn't making enough money. He told me to increase the sessions until the machine was gone. The work was not completed. I went to another Dr who told me that Dr. Foster did not know what he was doing and may have caused permanent damage. Beware of this Dr and avoid him at all costs! read more

2 years ago I went to get a Brazilian but lift with DR Stanley Foster, I didn't get the results that I really wanted, I still look flat, so I went back, he did the procedures again, still not a Brazilian but look but a flat look, I was so stressed, all my friends that did it in other countries had the results they wanted and me trying to stay safe in the US don't have nothing. So I went again for a 3rd time for another try and he said I have no fat to make it round, really!!! So after $11,000 and something I'm still flat, so not recommend for that. read more

I personally would never ever deal with this office or the doctor. I was charged on numerous visits with no prior warning of the charges and after the 5 min consultation work and charges where received I set my appointment. For over a year my appointments where cancelled numerous times because the Dr Foster had emergency in the hospital . After more then a year of this and no return calls it was finally was communicated to me that the appointment worker was let go or left and that the new person would take my appointment . The policy presented to me was on the day of surgery I would need to pay in full. Then the policy changed to half on the schedule day and the rest of surgery. Then it went to full payment on the date of schedule. This Dr wanted me to schedule a surgery and give him money to hold for him to cancel on me repeatedly as his history with me showed. Still I was eager to finally get the surgery done . So I called back and left a message which are never returned and if returned days or weeks later. Once I received a call back Kathy in the office told me the doctor wouldn't reschedule and that it was because of all of the cancellations . Do you believe this !!! They cancelled on me numerous times , messing up my plan and schedule for over a year and they are telling me its do to me rescheduling . I have never ever or will ever do business with this type of business or Dr Foster ever again and I would not recommend him let alone let him do surgery on me considering he obviously has no idea how or who or what is going on in his business. I am extremely well know for both the community work and charity work I do in the community and I will be sure if asked to tell my story about this situation . read more

I was bitten on the face by a dog and lost 5cm of my lower lip, severed an artery & muscle and went through a lot of trauma. At the emergency room, the doc got in touch with Dr. Foster and he agreed to open his office the following morning (a SUNDAY) at 9AM to clean my wound rather than have a resident deal with it at the hospital and risk damaging my face. I had surgery 10 days later (at Waterbury Hospital) and the day after the surgery (Thanksgiving morning!) Dr. Foster called me himself to check in on me. Including all my pre- and post-op follow up appointments I have probably been to the office a dozen times and haven't had any negative experiences. The office is downstairs in a bigger corporate health office building which is pretty accessible not far off of route 84 (exit 17) and there is a cafe in the lobby so if someone is waiting for you to get out of your appointments they don't have to be bored. This Thanksgiving, my family and I were super grateful for Dr. Foster being able to fix my face!!! read more
