The bedside manner is extremely incredible Dr Azer and her assisted lizbeth are the best team. I can trust them. I've been wanting to get new crowns for years. Dr. Azer's walked me through the entire process. Her pricing is fair and her work is very thorough. Valerie was really sweet and helpful with all the x-rays and narrated step by step what was going on so I wouldn't feel so nervous while laying in the chair. Well here i am looking for a Dentist since i went with a new plan through my employer, and according to the Yelp reviews Dr. Soheir is a great dentist and she just might be all the reviews mention. With that said, i really had my heart set on this office, since its 2 min away from my home here in Downey, but thanks to Karla, the receptionist I've decided to take my business elsewhere for a simple reason. Karla, picked up the phone, asked how could i be helped and as soon as i began to explain the reason for my call, i was placed on hold. Disrespectful Yes..! Discouraging Obviously...! Do not go there!!! All they want is your money!! First session I went for a hygiene clean. I was told I have cavities which I expected. But not as many as I was told. Then I was told I should get an invisible brace (which I no costs a lot $) and I needed an implant for a missing tooth. (Again I no it's expensive!) so they wanted to set up a session for me to come in and figure out how I could pay for all of this!! I didn't go to the appointment. I was then told I would need a deep clean which I was skeptical with but agreed. I was not informed of any cost of the procedure so thought it was included on my dental plan. I turned up to the second session had the treatment done but still was not told of any cost. Just as I finish again I am told about the payments for all the treatments I need. Which worked out to $1400. Which I don't have! So dr Azer asked to either pay all up front or in three smaller amounts. I wasn't happy with the way I was make to find the money to pay for everything. They I was told about a payment plan. I left the room not doing any of this. Then I was hit with a charge of $170 for my treatment!! I was absolutely furious to have to pay this as had I been aware I would have opted not to have the treatment! Communication was horrendous and all they seemed worried about was how much they would make out of me as a customer and didn't in the slightest treat me as a patient!!! Went in for tooth sensitivity and pain, and was talked into opening a line of Care Credit to pay for costs. The billing situation was terrible, i was misquoted multiple times and I feel as if the pricing was on a sliding scale once she found out how much my personal salary was. This office is completely unorganized. I had a tooth extraction done months ago and then I was told I was due for a cleaning and scheduled two appointments to come in for one. During both visits, that I had to leave work early for (I work in West LA) I was then told by the Dentist that it couldn't be done the day of my appointment as this was not a day her hygienist was in so I basically came in for her to look at my teeth and do nothing! But yet, your staff was the one who scheduled me for a cleaning? Also, I'm confident you learn how to preform dental cleanings in school so you should've done the cleaning yourself after this happened not once but twice! Fast forward to today, Rose calls me from your office to inform me that I'm due for a cleaning. I call back to schedule this and give your office one last chance. I made my appointment for Monday November 6th and I then inquire about whether or not the dental hygienist will be in during my scheduled appointment. I was placed on hold and the receptionist came back and informed me that no they wouldn't be in until November 10th, a Friday after. When I asked why I was called to schedule a cleaning if the proper staff wasn't even in on that day, she said, "oh well you're also due for a check up as well." Complete BS! They clearly need the money because I'm sure they charge my insurance company for this "check up" which I'm sure includes yet another seat in the Dental chair for the dentist to tell me I need a "cleaning" that they never have proper staff to have done. Avoid and go elsewhere. There are several other dental practices in Downey that are much more professional and have proper staffing at all times. read more

Dr.Azer is a great dentist that does great work and cares about your oral health. She is very experienced and thorough when it comes to her work. Her office is very clean and is up to date. I am very happy to say that I finally started my Invisalign orthodontic treatment with her. I don't have to worry about my smile anymore. I am so happy with Dr. Azer's work! Before finding her I was so terrified and practically traumatized by previous dentists that I've been to. Dr. Azer explained the treatment I needed, the procedure that would take place and the cost. I felt the cost was fair for the amount of work I needed. After she completed majority of the work (it was a lot of work!!!) I felt much more confident with going to the dentist and I decided to get the invisalign treatment. Again she explained the process and we got started right away. I'm not done with the invisalign just yet, but I already see the improvement of straighter teeth and my gums are much healthier than when I first came to Dr. Azer. After years of going to several dentist, I've finally found the perfect dentist. From the moment I walked in to the office and was greeted by the friendly office staff to the time I received my exam & treatment, I felt very at ease & confident that I was in good hands. Dr. Azer is very professional, knowledgeable, and good at what she does. Not to mention purposefully gentle, so much so that I was able to put my headphones on during major treatments & fall asleep without any sleeping medications. She has also helped me to get my confidence back by giving me the perfect implants & crowns which has allowed me to talk face to face with people and smile again!!!
