What a wonderful find in the Lenexa public market! This little stall was being run by a single lady who was friendly and made the stall feel very homey feeling. Over the counter you can see the stove top that really just make me think home style food.(though I know nothing about Indian or Pakistani cuisine) We got the butter chicken and it was delicious! It's served on top of rice and in a black plastic container. I would say the portion is fairly generous. This dish does have a little kick but just enough to let your mouth become watery and crave for more. The chicken was a little dry, but the dish was delicious overall. I believe she cooks the food and then put in these warming containers to keep it warm- kind of like a buffet but better. Also the price was 8.99 which isn't a bad deal. I'm a fan of local / small places so I can't help but give this stall a 5/5. I bet the dish would be even better if I get the fresh batch. read more

Seriously. So good. The restaurant is located in those often seen "food halls" that are in most cities now. They only have 2 or 3 dishes depending on the day. Absolutely the BEST Indian food ! Very hard working folks and so friendly . I got the buttery chicken and it's so tender it just falls apart . Sauce is little spicy , which I love . I ordered the naan bread and , it's a must . So good and it's awesome to dip in the sauce ! Would highly recommend this if you like Indian food ! First of all: if you haven't been to Lenexa Public Market, you are missing out!! I've been many times but today was my first time trying Sohaila's Kitchen. I totally regret not trying it sooner! I got the Butter Chicken. It was top quality with a tender chicken, little bit of heat, and a ton of great flavor. The serving is so big that I ended up getting two meals out of it. On top of the great food, the owners are extremely friendly and really care a lot about their business and their customers! Definitely talk to them if you get the chance to. I can't wait to come back and try the Mango Lassi and Samosas. Sohaila's Kitchen is a great addition to the public market and should be on everyone's list of places to try. read more

We absolutely love Sohaila's. Every bite of her food is bursting with flavor and clearly made with care, and dare I say, love. The menu is limited due to the small space and staff but you cannot go wrong with any of the choices. And she sometimes sells out so get there early for the daily specials. Came here for lunch after church on a Sunday, We got the butter chicken and Seekh kabob entrees! They were both so so flavorful and delicious! That homemade green sauce was spot on! However, I do kind of wish there was a bit more chicken in my dish. read more

This is some delicious and very Authentic Pakistani/Indian food. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu for my husbands birthday gathering with family and it did not disappoint. The spice level was perfect - so flavorful with a little heat but not so spicy it wasn't palatable. Very friendly and lovely customer service. Absolutely 5 stars! I stopped by during lunch time hours to speak with someone on staff because I am a gluten free diner and plan ahead for dinners--if I eat wheat, I'm sick for a week. I was assured by the lady who seems to be an owner that everything but the naan bread had no gluten/wheat. I returned for dinner and had chicken biryani, my daughter had butter chicken. As soon as i walked in a wonferful smell took me right to them. They were so friendly, place was clean, and the food was so good. I had the butter chicken and naan. I was so full before i could even finish. They put your food in a container with a lid so your able to take it home as well. I had my boyfriend try it as well and he loved it.
