Every single thing was way over cooked and lacked any form of seasoning. I will admit the croutons were probably the best part of our meal. Chicken thighs were ok, once you got past the burnt, rubbery skin. Green beans were tasteless, shriveled and burnt on the ends. Pasta was over cooked by at least 10-15 mins with a weird chunky/ bland sauce. Ill assume it was jarred sauce. Never in a million years recommend this place. Our cheap company was buying on a budget and saw this place. Yup that will do. How are they in business? Thanks for the croutons.

I clarified with the chef that the pig would be placed onto the grill and carved. Seems the staff that brought the food tried or did pull a fast one and presented with a tray of pulled pork. Said they had it out and already cut it up. 104 people and not 1 person seen a pig. Also the beef was like rubber and couldn't be eaten. And to top it offthe bbq chicken was burnt. I have called 3 times in over a week and still no response from the owner. Silence. You would think someone would be very concerned about this. Especially since their staff lied and said a dad walked his little girl up to look at the pig. No dad and little girl at the party. So disappointed !!! Beware.

Review #539…read more 2/28/2026 Today I can certainly update My previous review which was only for the sit down restaurant or cafe back on 3/29/2019. Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace is My nearby and Go to store for many things from Fresh Produce, Flowers, Ready House Made Meals to Go, Popcorn, Handmade Croutons, Salsas, Wines and their decadent desserts to name a few of My favorites shopping items! This weekend was their Strawberry Sale .99 cents for a 1 # package, Garlic Bread for $1.99 and Mini Bay Scallops $8.99# that were fresh and easy to sauteed and bread bake. Upon Walking in the store stop and view the History Story of the Strawberry and trademark of Nino Salvaggio. Get your photo taking within the two cute figure Strawberry Statues. :-) Photos attached There's a cooler too with strawberry items on sale as well. I bought the strawberry fluff and Oh My Deeeelicious it is. After this review will be posted My many true, helpful and informative photos to assist shoppers as well. Nino Salvaggio has been in business throughout Michigan with many locations since 1978 with 4 locations and coming soon in Livonia on Schoolctaft. The Staff work hard every time I walk in restocking fresh fruit or vegetables that are higher quality than supermarket stores. The premade meals to go are reasonable price or weekly specials help shoppers plan their meals as well. During the holidays and sales they will email you the specials of the week so sign up for emails and then a customer will receive the special rewards price and also add to your Rree membership. In their newsletter will be the specials, recipes, and a story about a sale item which is good! The Bakery is always stocked with single rolls, 4 or 6 packs or dozen. Refrigerated desserts, shelf desserts or see Ann in the Bakery to order My favorite, single cannolis, eclairs, cream puffs or creme brulee treats. There's iskes of wine labeled by flavor to assist and liquor behind the counter. I shop here for Single or 6 packs of POLISH Beer is unbelievable! The pre-made soups, salads, pizza, pastas, and other meals are worth the taste after baking at home. I enjoyed the clam chowder soup this Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th of - 2 pints. The chowder had Great flavor like at a restaurant They even sell Safe Pet Calcium Chloride for the snow in the winter months along with different needed items outside the store under the building such as Spring Flowers, Fall Flowers and Holiday Items. The store areas are always clean and plenty of employees working hard to assist you when you have a question or looking for a item. Its a Family business where customers are treated as family too! Prices are slightly higher than grocery stores but its all about the hard work in cleaning, cutting and preparing the specialty meals, dishes, party trays, ready to bake entrees is what matters by freshness and packaging from the employees that enjoy their jobs here at Nino's. I glad to be a shopper here weekly for those special ideas and deals that help Me create and make my tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy My posted photos attached to help and assist future Yelp friends and shoppers decide what they want to make, and enjoy tasting with their creativity Cooking Skills! Smaczne ! I am embarrassed to admit, it had been a while since we last shopped here. But our visit last week…read morereminded us that this is one awesome store. We have a few other fruit markets in the area, but this has become my latest favorite. Every twist and turn through the store offers another product to try. We came in for nothing in particular but left with a cart full. I like that they have half pies for smaller families. Their homemade soups are really good. We tried the chicken lemon rice and the chicken pot pie. Their fruits and veggies are fresh, unlike the grocery stores at times. Oh and that freshly popped smell when we walked in had us making a beeline straight to the popcorn counter. Their fresh salsa is pretty good and their homemade chips I really like. The spinach artichoke dip is very good too. We'll be going back soon for another round of 'let's try this'. We've only just begun our taste testing.

Well, because our congregation had a small list of approved caterers, and my daughter wanted one thing for the big celebration: a chocolate fountain. As luck would have it, The Moveable Feast has a chocolate fountain front and center on its website, so they were the obvious choice. The only other thing the Bat Mitzvah Girl wanted was bagels and cream cheese, which is her favorite food and pretty much impossible to mess up. Especially when the caterer agrees to source the bagels from Zingerman's Bakehouse. But one needs more for a luncheon than just bagels, cream cheese, and a chocolate fountain. That is where Misty Rose entered the picture. She got what we were going for and helped to round out the rest of the menu. I was told we had to get the whitefish as it was a signature dish of the company, and that was a great call. The pastrami spiced smoked salmon was tasty too. Having grilled vegetables was a fantastic idea as well. If I were to have TMF cater another event I might skip the red pepper hummus, the beet and quinoa salad, and the frittata. I make all of these things at home on the regular, and not to brag, but mine are better. However, those each served a role in the buffet, which on the whole was well received. Where The Moveable Feast shined brightest was its staff. They were extraordinary! Misty for both her flexibility and her patience in dealing with a father who was planning an event at the earliest stages of Omicron. Misty also directed me to A1 Rentals and helped to come up with several floor plans to make a 20' x 40' tent feel like a celebratory space. Plus the event staff were simply heroic, setting up the tent while I was at the ceremony and having everything ready by the time our guests arrived. Everyone who braved traveling to Michigan in December amidst a growing pandemic had a great time. The bartender roaming around pushing mimosas certainly helped. As did the tent heaters, which TMF helped to get back online when one wasn't working. They called up the rental company and made sure A1 brought over a new one. Plus the TMF crew even helped to spread out some straw when the lawn got sloppy thanks to the unexpected ice storm. If you've read down this far, you might be asking yourself, "So why only four stars?" Well, if you recall, the critical components of this event were a chocolate fountain, bagels, and cream cheese. The chocolate fountain was everything the guest of honor had hoped for... and maybe more. But somehow, the caterer forgot to bring the cream cheese. And a bagel without cream cheese is like a hug without the squeeze. I know that's not actually how the line goes. Still... it's close. My personal belief is that a business is best defined by what happens when something goes wrong. In this case, their first offer was to simply not charge me for the food they didn't bring. That was not terribly satisfying. Ultimately, the resolution was a sum that was roughly equivalent to the mimosas which helped make our adult guests happy despite the omission. I appreciated the gesture, but would have preferred an outcome that did not feel as transactional. You know, like a tray of sweets, or an "I'm sorry" cake. I know I'm weird about this, but money feels kinda dirty. Although at some point it's best to just take the offer and move on. Which is exactly what I did. Would I work with The Moveable Feast again? Absolutely! Would I recommend them to anyone who asks? You bet. Would they work with me again? I certainly hope so. We had a tremendous amount of leftovers, which included a few pounds of smoked salmon and multiple pints of whitefish. We were even able to salvage some of the ambrosial nectar from the chocolate fountain. More importantly, thanks to TMF we were able to pull off a successful event in the face of some abysmal conditions. I mean... on top of everything a last minute ice storm? And despite being down a person, they did it all with a smile. Bravo!
