They market themselves as a "gourmet" catering outfit, and while the selections all sound like in the "fine dining" category, we did not find the dishes we ordered (off the "hors d'oeuvre" and "tea sandwich" menu) for our luncheon anything out of the ordinary. Especially the single cheese platter, for which we paid $247.50 (for 45 people) contained the usual array of cubed and sliced cheeses. Only the little bit of brie would count as a more specialty cheese. So anything but gourmet! In short, pricy for what you get.

Ate some yummy food catered by Edibles Rex…read more Service is good, kept the food coming, plates cleared off of our tables. Salmon, chicken, asparagus, arugula salad, mostaccioli assorted yummy breads, a variety of delicious mini desserts, infused waters, coffee, beers and mixed drinks too. The spinach and arugula and mango salad was simple, but tasty. The chilled orange scented asparagus was citrusy and quite yummy. The soy glazed salmon was worth two pieces. The lemon square bite was well worth a few more bites. The brownies, raspberry cheesecake bites and chocolate mousse were a good finish. The raspberry bars weren't my jam though All of the breads were carb worthy, as were the desserts. The deviled eggs were simple, but good. The chicken piccata was moist, capers are always a good pairing. The mostaccioli was a bit soft, but for the most part, it was still flavorful and carby.

This place has been on my list for a while now. I finally decided to stop by. I called ahead to…read moreplace my order with the hopes that it would cut down on any wait time I might encounter. This plan seemed to work well and is highly recommended. The experience - located on the south east corner or Livernois and 7 Mile the place is easy to spot as it shares the building with Bakers Keyboard Lounge. While there is a food truck parked in the lot, food was actually being served from a pick up window inside a tiny vestibule. The method was a bit unorganized but the friendliness the staff made this easy to overlook. The food tastes just as good as it looks. The menu selections are creative and feature the famous "gripper" sandwiches which are stacked and piled high with yummy goodness. If you've been ogling the food pics on social media like I have, you should go on in and try it. You will not be disappointed.

What would be more efficient is to simply walk the food to customers cars similar to restaurants like chili's this will keep the traffic at a minimum and keep it flowing. There were a lot of traffic which is good for business. Social distancing was reinforced. Most workers wore mask. However a few workers did not wear mask correctly. The food prices were decent. The sandwich was good but they forgot my fries. I would try again after covid

There was a lot more variety than I ever thought possible for a buffet without meat. One thing I can say is that it is amazing! My husband and I made a reservation online for an igloo. We were greeted and taken to our igloo. It was very nice, we ordered some beverages and an appetizer to start. We got the Arincini to start and oooooohhh myyyy goodness, please get it! It was so yummy, the oooy gooey ness of the rice and mozzarella was exquisite, they also served it with marinara meat sauce! Great combination! The lamb chops were super tender and marinated to perfection. The mashed potatoes were also a hit for us, they use fresh potatoes and whipped it enough to be the perfect amount of creaminess. My hubby bear got the surf and turf, that was exceptional, the lobster and butter just melt in your mouth & the steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) ;) the only thing was we wished his dish had more meat haha because who wouldn't want more of that yummy goodness. It is a bit pricey but well worth it. Everyone there was super attentive and sweet. One thing that we were a little bummed about was the igloo was a bit cold my toes and fingers were pretty cold. They have a small heater in there but I would advise you to bundle up but the food and service makes up for it all!! Bon appétit!
