The cutest cafe! Great menu offering different breakfast choices between waffles, breads, omelettes, coffees, fresh juices and more. My fave dish is the prosciutto omelette with a side garden salad, which helps keep me paleo. Cozy seating with nice modern decor, just a block away from Copacabana Beach. Great for laptop working and reading. Highly recommend!

Good food, bad bad service. For tourist at least. For starters they gave us Portuguese menus when they had English ones, they added a tip when the back of the menu said optional. They tried to take advantage of us, so rude!

They have good food and coffee drinks! I came here for breakfast today and it was delicious. Sofa cafe is very clean and has a nice and cute atmosphere. Their waffles, breakfast ham & cheese croissants and eggs were really good. I recommend coming here for breakfast or just for a nice coffee drink! I will be back :)

Super cute Café. The Orange Bread was quite good. I had a hot chocolate, however I didn't know Brazilians drink their hot coco so thick and I didn't really like it. But I also had a tea and that was good. The place was clean and the people were friendly and patient since I only know a few words in Portuguese.

A nice way to present scrambled eggs

I like it here as they take care with the presentation of your food, which is very tasty. The service isn't bad either and the waiter was all smiles. Overall I spent a rather nice breakfast here with my friends and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Staff ok, food ok but too salty and bread very hard. Expensive for Brasil but as I said, it's ok!

Nice place for hanging out and drinking lattes. We had two types of soups and they were really good.

The wait time was very short -- only about five minutes -- but it was a Wednesday and not a holiday, so I imagine weekends can get much busier. I'd definitely recommend arriving early or making a reservation if you plan to visit on a Saturday or Sunday. The food was excellent. We ordered the Pesto e Burrata, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. We also tried the Picadinho Tapajós, and it was one of the highlights: the beans were perfectly cooked, the farofa mix was amazing, and it came with a beautifully prepared egg and fried banana. Such a comforting and authentic Brazilian combination that I'm sure everyone will enjoy. For drinks, the strawberry caipirinha was spot on -- refreshing and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The passion fruit caipirinha also tasted great, although it could have had just a touch more sugar. We also tried the Limoncello Spritz, which wasn't really our favorite, but it may appeal to a different taste. The real star of this place is the view. It's absolutely impeccable -- honestly, there are very few places in Rio (or even in the world) with a setting this beautiful. Having lunch with a direct view of Sugarloaf Mountain feels priceless. Prices were a bit above average, but considering the location, atmosphere, and unforgettable scenery, it was 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

We didn't stay long because I wanted to do the paddle boarding - which I did. The red wine came with corks and they poured me another glass. They were also very kind to lent me the charging box to refuel my phone. Thanks.

The access is easy,…read moreand it felt much less crowded than the famous original location downtown, which made the experience even more enjoyable. This century-old café is full of history, and having coffee here with a breathtaking view of Ipanema Beach and Sugarloaf Mountain is simply unforgettable. The ocean breeze makes everything feel extra special, and the service was excellent from start to finish. After eating, it's the perfect spot to continue your day with a walk along Copacabana or a visit to the fort museum right next door. I came with my family and had the chance to try several dishes. The cappuccino was outstanding, with the perfect balance of sweetness and a warm touch of cinnamon. The American toast with jam was delicious, and we also tried the pistachio éclair, which was very good, although it tasted more like a creamy filling than a strong pistachio flavor. The pastel de nata was small but really tasty as well. My favorite, though, was the "Queijo do Forte," a breaded brie that was absolutely incredible. The Assado de Gorgonzola was also perfectly prepared, full of rich flavor, and the meat was cooked just right. As a final highlight, I loved being able to enjoy a truly fresh natural orange juice with lunch -- something I really miss when I'm abroad. A perfect mix of food, tradition, and one of the best views in Rio.
