I was drawn in to Rose Petal to begin with because they offer benefits to their employees and do their part to elevate the profession of housekeeping (I also had a REALLY scary experience with a house cleaner I found in the EW). I stayed with them because they are fabulous. Whereas another housekeeper might come to your house and clean the same way each time, RPH provides ongoing training to their employees and utilizes a scheduling program so that all the neglected areas of your house get their just due. One visit might have a particular focus on windowsills, the next might be a lookout for spiders. Either way, your house is going to be cleaner than it ever has been. Another feature that I love about RPH is that they utilize your cleaning materials. So, you can be as obsessive as you want about the type of chemicals used in your home. The employees will leave you a note if you're running low on anything, and will also make environmentally-friendly suggestions about cleaning materials that may be more effective (Bon Ami, anyone?). Lastly, although the economy has busted me (at least temporarily), the prices at RPH are VERY reasonable. I pay less per hour for the work that they do than I do with any other cleaning company. Less pay for me, but fair pay for the employees and benefits to boot? Sounds like a winning combo.
