Though I am not a resident of Hapeville, I am always in the area so I had to show up and support The park itself is absolutely beautiful. The city has made great use of the space as well as the landscaping is beautiful. The grass is green, the flowers around the fence are colorful and the park presents as a great recreational space as a whole. The National Night Out event was an abundance of family fun. As it kicked off at 4:00pm, it wasn't too hot and there was a nice breeze flowing through. There was a train ride for the kids, a dunking station, and ample games and vendors throughout the park. For the adults, the vendor options were ideal for those looking for employment, as well as those who love to support local and small businesses. Yes! There was something for everyone. As I arrived hungry, (don't judge me), I was excited to see the assortment of food trucks that were in the parking lot. This was truly the perfect makings for a great family day in the park. As a whole, I will definitely be returning to Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park as the ambiance is perfect for a me day with lunch and a good book or even to do a few laps around the track as 6 Laps = 1 Mile according to the sign. I called the branch to confirm the protocol for follow up with recruits and their parents in which I had the pleasure of having SS Griffith answer the phone. This and every interaction with SS Griffith were informative and professional. If SS Griffith was not able to answer my call, he always sent a reply letting me know of his availability, or he would ask me to send my question via text and he ALWAYS responded. My son's departure date was July 14 and thanks to SS Griffith I was able to relax knowing my son was prepared. The only uneasy experience I had was the DEP, which had nothing to do with SS Griffith as he kept us informed with the progress. I just wish the wait was not as long. The inside was super clean and the setup is straightforward so it's not hard to navigate. The young lady at the counter was super friendly and able to answer the few confirmation questions we had. After getting our number and taking a seat, I was able to observe the process. The clerks were spot on with their efficiency as well as you could tell that the structure that was implemented was done with the customer in mind. I'd like to add that once I got to this location, there was a long line out of the door, so much so, I had to wait out in the mall once I joined the line. Michelle was the only employee at the counter and was so proficient in getting all of us customers in and out the door. She tended to all of us with a pleasant attitude and with efficiency. She was kind, patient, and allowed me to ask whatever questions I had without making me feel rushed. She also throughly went over the receipt with me and really made sure I was clear on this entire process before moving on to the person behind me.
