This YMCA is nestled in the heart of Palm Harbor. Amenities at this facility include the kid zone,…read moregroup classes, a workout room, an outdoor competition pool, an outdoor family pool with splash features and slides, a massage room, and an outdoor playground & garden. My only two complaints are the lack of an indoor gymnasium for basketball/indoor soccer/etc & also the kid zone has odd hours with a three hour break in the middle of the day which limits the hours parents with small children are available to utilize the gym. I'm a big fan of the yoga class and look forward to trying out some other features of the Y. Prying my daughter out of the kid zone is nearly impossible, she loves it in there!

I've never been inside the community center itself but the park that it has is a decent place for…read morefamilies to gather and have picnics. The playground is nicely shaded and covered by trees. There are a couple huge open spaces which work for pickup soccer games. The Community Center also has a huge baseball/softball field with lights. I've played many a game under those lights. Definitely no complaints there. Beyond the fence in the outfield is another huge open area where we've practiced softball. There are also football goalposts set up and I've seen a number of midget teams practicing there. The community center also offers public bathrooms. These are nothing special but they are always stocked with toilet paper and have running water. There is also a water fountain (if needed). The final piece of the puzzle is a small, one basket, basketball court. If you are into sports, looking for a playground or just a place to sit under the tree, the Land O' Lakes community center might just do the trick.
