The parking lot looks packed all the time, but the inside is so huge i never have to wait for a treadmill, and if the cardio room is full, then there is also an indoor track I can use as a backup. The weight room is not overly huge, but it has enough choices to where its not lacking. The staff are friendly and helpful. I havent even checked out any of the classes, rock wall climb or the basketball and pickleball courts, but this place has everything you can think of for working out at a price that does not disappoint. You can sign up for 30 days, 60 or 90 days, or they also have a one year membership if you desire. I am usually NOT a gym person because my past experiences with other gyms, were not so good and way overpriced. No one tries to push you into getting a year membership if you arent ready. The staff are able to answer any of your questions. they also have child care that is free (for up to 2 hours)

Most places like this either have ridiculous membership fees or you have to live in the neighborhood. The staff has been both friendly and helpful when I've needed them, and i'm looking forward to purchasing a 1 year pass for my family sooner than later. On a slow day it's given us an escape from sitting around the house, or just going out to eat. My kids love the rock climbing here, and when the pools open in the summer it just adds even more ways to stay active. If anyone knows something similar in the area, shoot me a message, because i'd love to check it out.

We were with friends on the way to the Science Museum (Apr 2026), and we thought their daughter could burn off a little energy in fun little Rash Field Park, just east of the museum. It's kid-oriented: climbers, a slide, swings ... I cant believe i'm the first to post a photo of the ride-on seagull. It must be pretty new. I did read that this park is continuing to be developed. The next phase is supposed to be completed next summer, but someone needs to come check on the already-completed part because it has fallen into massive disrepair in a seemingly short time. There are no swings on the swingset. There's no water in the water feature (small brook/pond), leaving exposed drainage pipes in a sandy pit. There's a large staircase to nothing. I know this area is used for a lot of events, and I hate the idea of tourists and locals coming across these things and thinking that Baltimore is a, to quote the president, "rat-infested shit-hole." Baltimore is so much better than this. Who is in charge of this project?People, especially children, could get hurt here. It's such a bad look for the Inner Harbor.

There are about four fields that are at least partially divided with markings. There are also a series of benches or steps to drop gear. My favorite part of this park is the wide open field behind the playing areas. Huge trees make for plenty of shade and interesting natural things to explore and discover. There's also a decent playground with a sand pit and a small gazebo for parents to enjoy watching their children play and maybe hold a small picnic. Parking is on the side of the street, so I imagine it could get a little crowded, and just a heads up that you may end up adjacent to someone's residence.

There are mounds to climb, a three story slide, swings, etc. There's equipment for older kids and young kids like my 2-year-old daughter. 2) Fields: Nearby are several fields often used for soccer. My daughter loves watching people play soccer offering more entertainment. 3) View: Kids love that the Metro soars by nearby above ground and adults find it cool too! 4) Facilities: There are trash cans around, a party pavilion with outlets, and nice bathrooms with plenty of drinking water. 5) Kingman Island: Nearby is the entrance to Kingman Island, a man-made island in the Anacostia River with canoes, over 100 resident and migratory birds, and wooden bridges. We're averaging two trips a day here on the weekends. It's such a great area for families!

We've come here many times that should have been considered jam packed, but although it's sometimes busy, it's never THAT packed. The real bonus here (especially for somebody who's skin color is somewhere between gingery and clear) is that although it's an outdoor pool, there is a ton of shade! That's a big deal since I usually get burned at the mere mention of sunlight. Take the kids and have a great time. The location is great for me. Check the map. Maybe it's great for you too.
