Junk hauling is extremely competitive in LA if I perceive correctly. Yelp sent out my request for help to 5 vendors and most of them responded right away. One was far too aggressive, one was extremely expensive and another had bad reviews. Martin was very accommodating and flexible. He was able to postpone my original appointment on the spot until I was ready more recently. I had fewer items to get hauled than before thanks to nextdoor.com but he was willing to trim the price down to $200 to remove a queen sized memory foam mattress, 2 printers, 3 chairs including a stuffed one and a set of animal carpeted steps. Juan showed up an hour earlier than expected and luckily that worked out perfectly just as a neighbor was taking away my old bed frame. I was a little trepidatious about his ability to remove everything by himself. He really had to struggle with the mattress so I helped him. I think they're definitely going to need a second set of hands when I finally have my electric loveseat recliner hauled. Very hard working team, friendly, professional and communicative. Martin and his co-worker were on time. They went to work immediately, working very hard for about three hours. It would have been fine with me if they took a break, but they didn't. They were friendly and professional. They clearly knew what they were doing. Our house was a bit of a challenge but they knew how to disassemble our spa and unusually heavy table to carry the many parts up a long and narrow stairway from the downstairs deck to their truck. Their cleanup was also very well done. The fee agreed to (a bit lower than the other estimates we got) is the fee they charged, meaning no game playing as some other companies have done. We were a little nervous about possible damage to our wood deck, but there was no damage - except the damage from years of our not taking care of our deck - but obviously that's our fault, not theirs (see photos).
