Their selection of Hot Wheels by the checkouts is exceptional. Do not buy their potted plants, they are infested with mealy bugs and some are dying of scale. (these bugs will infect the rest of your plants at home and are hard to treat and get rid of). The workers are always hard at work here, a few are very nice but there are a few that aren't. The nice ones outnumber the bad ones. The men who work in the phone store booth inside are extremely helpful and patient.

Make sure to check out the beauty counter if you want a laugh - their staff are the funniest for sure!

Brian quickly found my info, and told me the price which was around $100.00, which is reasonable. It is, however, corporate policy to charge $40.00+ taxes extra for a customer that just wants to use their current frames!!! What kind of money hungry, BS is that? Considering that I am a current customer and take my entire family there for their optical needs as well, this seems like a quick cash grab just because the corporation can get away with it!! Their workers will argue with customers and complaints about this store are never taken seriously. The amount of gates and hurdles they have upon entering the store to deter theft because of their Starbucks location they have in the front is absolutely absurd to try and navigate with a cart of any size. There are no proper bathrooms for the public to use as well as the manager being a bully to the local panhandlers/homeless who are sometimes outside the store. Don't give this place your business.

There were two girls behind the counter doing nothing. We were told we had to go to a checkout because the checkouts weren't busy. Went to the checkout line and only two were open each serving someone and five people with full carts in line. Went back to customer service and spoke to an on duty supervisor who was now willing to check us out. My wife was told customers are told to go to checkout because if they are not kept busy they will have their hours cut. We could have gone to self checkout, how would this affect their hours. There are serious problems with the way the Truro SuperStore is managed and that is why my store of choice is Sobeys.

Tucked into the neighbourhood beside Victoria Park, this place is a gem filling in the gaps from the chain grocery stores more north and offering some fresh local and both domestic and imported artisan goods. The owners are just the most friendly and sweetest people bringing a very homey and loving vibe to all the products. So much middle eastern selection too! Fine oils and spices, eastern baked treats, and a ton of dried goods like beans and rice. They have a great selection of island produce and meats/dairy coming straight from the farms into the coolers. The freezer also features some of their own falafel or local made meal items. The aged Island cheeses and dips are fantastic too. Something real special here is the small selection of baked goods from Montreal including Fairmont Bagels!!!! I love the Markouk unleavened bread and can't wait to go back for some baked treats or baklava! Oh yes, I will indeed be a regular here!!

We decided to stop in on the way back to pick up bottled water and a couple other things for our hotel room. I stayed in the car while my husband did a quick run in and out. He reported that the store setup seemed weird to him and he spent a lot of time looking for the maple cookies. Cashier was friendly, he just thought the layout of the store was confusing. Hard to comment about the prices because of currency in Canadian and we are from US so everything seems so much cheaper. Posted sign says 2 - 24 pk water for $5. That would be $3.66 U.S. Dollar! Or $1.83 per 24 pls.
