Beautiful space and the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine! The only thing I was mildly upset about was the lack of seating for larger parties. But other than that it was a fabulous day. I highly recommend walking through the vineyard!

Great view, atmosphere, covered patio and large grassy yard. Live music, and great refreshing beverages. Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon

This was my second visit to Soaring Wings. It's not too far from Downtown Omaha, only about a 25 minute drive, making it a nice way to get out of the city and be surrounded by the vineyard and farms. My friend and I did a wine tasting, and it was $8 each for 5 pours and you get to take the glass home. We enjoyed the wines, and sat inside because it was a bit cool and windy out. Last time I busted in the summer, it was a beautiful day to sit out on the porch and enjoy the views. We ordered cheese, crackers, and salami, which came individually packed. The cheese came as small nuggets in a sealed bag, and the salami came in a small plastic package. The crackers came in a box with two sleeves, so we had lots of extras to take home. The service was a bit slow, and it took a while for someone to come out to the counter and help us. Last time I was here someone explained each wine, and offered recommendations on what to try and the best order to try the wines in. This was not the case on this visit, and it would've been nice to have that since my friend has not been here before. Before you leave, they will wrap up the glasses from the wine tasting to take home if you ask. I love coming here for the views while sitting on the porch, and would love to come back soon for the live music.

Nice glass of white wine paired with a beautiful view

Soaring Wings is a scenic winery located just 15 minutes outside the Omaha metro area. $5 music Fridays during the warm seasons and "bring your own picnic" rules make this winery a perfect spot to unwind after a long week of work. Just make sure you bring your own chairs/blankets so you can relax and enjoy the views! Soaring Wings Vineyard offers both wine and beer as well as several small snack offerings. If you wish not to purchase food, you may bring your own in. My personal favorite drink is a Nebraska White Wine called Moonstruck. The sweetness of this wine makes it a perfect pairing for cheese and fruit.

Alcohol, live music, and dog friendly....YOU GET ME, Soaring Wings. They offer tastings, "stay and drink" on the lawn or porch, small bites of food, and bottles to take home. The tasting room has AC and bathrooms. The deck wrapping around the tasting rooms are covered, hosting tables and chairs. They let you bring dogs (leashed) as well as your own seating, food, and non alcoholic drinks. This place rocks. Add in live music on the weekends and a day without heat, and it's a winner. I would be out there every weekend if I had someone to come with! Beautiful grassy space and lots of room to spread out and enjoy weather and wine. Perfect for a date, girls day at the vineyard, or even a family outing as long as your kids don't scream and run into other people! Our dogs barked a few times and got out of our clutches to chase each other across the lawn which was mildly embarrassing but everyone was kind enough about it. Pretty low key staff but they WILL check to see if you brought alcohol in, so be honest and give them your business.

Great place to hang out with friends. They have wine, beer, and snacks. . They have live music on Fridays and some music festivals throughout the summer.

Stopped here for the first time today and... My husband and I both ordered the Tasting (beer for him and wine for me). We both enjoyed everything we tried with the exception of one each. He said the Double IPA was "very hoppy" (but acknowledged others like that) and I thought the Falco Red was weak - like a wine cooler. I am impressed by the quality/size of the free wine glasses. At most wineries you get a dinky glass you would never actually drink anything, much less a a red, out of. The food plates are DIY - we ordered and they literally handed us a baguette, a block of cheese, and summer sausage in a basket with a cutting board and a knife. The sausage was standard but I did very much enjoy the baguette and Havarti. Overall it was a pleasant visit. No, the ladies at the counter aren't overly friendly or knowledgeable but everything was adequate. We will be back!

The expansive view makes the stage appear tiny, but the endless midwestern sky makes up for it.

I finally made it out here. I've been hearing things all year from friends and a couple regulars. I can confirm most of their thoughts. The staff were friendly and informative. Each sample I requested came with a nice explanation. The music and ambience make for a good place to hang out. I can see why spending a lazy Sunday afternoon with a bottle of wine and good friends. And of course, as a winery the wines are quite good. That's just my opinion though, and I should say that I am not a wine connosieur. I barely dabble. However, if you order the five wine/beer sample package, you get to keep the glass! Sadly, for me as a beer geek, the beers were exactly what I heard. The Blackbird Stout was an excellent representation of a russian style stout. However, the rest of them were okay to sub-par. The darker the beer's color, the better it was. It's almost like the brewery part is still an afterthought. Considering they are a winery, I'm surprised they haven't started making more barrel-aged beers or sours. Aspects of both those beer types share a lot with winemaking, and they'd probably be good at them.

Great beer. Matches the great view.

Ask the Community - Soaring Wings

Do we need to bring our own chairs?

There's limited seating under a covered patio plus several tables and chairs outside. Good idea to pack your lawn chairs and blankets to sit on the sloped grassy area to watch the concerts on Friday evenings.
