Sexual assault is one of the gravest violations a student can face, and when it occurs in an educational environment, the responsibility lies heavily on the institution to protect its students and respond with swift, compassionate justice. Unfortunately, Soaring Heights has failed to uphold this responsibility.
Over the past 2 years, there have been multiple reports and allegations of rape and sexual misconduct within the student body. Rather than responding with transparency, empathy, and urgency, the school's administration has often chosen silence, denial, or minimal action. Survivors have reported feeling unheard, dismissed, or even retaliated against after coming forward. This not only discourages others from speaking out but perpetuates a culture of fear and impunity.
The school's policies surrounding consent education, survivor support, and disciplinary actions are either lacking or poorly enforced. For an institution that claims to foster safety and growth, this negligence speaks volumes about its priorities.
Worse still, the emotional and psychological toll on victims who see their perpetrators remain unpunished--or even celebrated--within the same halls is immense. Survivors deserve more than just empty promises. They deserve justice, support, and real systemic change.
If Soaring Heights is to regain trust, it must overhaul its reporting processes, provide trauma-informed training for staff and faculty, and create a culture where survivors are believed and protected. Until then, it cannot be considered a safe place for students. read more
