Ok, so when you sit at your table you have to scan the UR code with your phone to get the menu. Well, it was taking for ever to load on my phone. So, the waiter brought an iPad over with the menu loaded, Thank you. We started with the Crispy Shrimp. Fresh, hot, perfectly battered. It was served with a very sweet dipping sauce. It was mouthwatering delicious (without the sweet dipping sauce!) We tried the Curry Fried Rice with Shrimp, and the Volcano Chicken. My wife added a Coconut Iced Milk Tea. Excellent flavors in the fried rice. Now the Volcano Chicken was fantastic, although not quite what I was expecting. It comes out on a fajita type skillet, scorching hot. It was a bed of cabbage, carrots and a pile of fried battered chicken. The waiter then poured on the sauce and the volcano erupts. Any uncovered body parts need to be kept back a safe distance. The food needed to set for a couple of minutes before eating. Be careful!!!. It was though, exactly as described. Chicken (a large amount) covered in a sweet sauce. I was hoping for more spice/tang and a little less sweet. Even though it was very sweet, it was very good. The portions were large. Either of the meals was enough food two people. Yeah, and the fried rice (on both meals)! Fresh with perfect texture, loaded with scrambled egg, bean sprouts, nice seasoning and green onion. Enjoyable, some of the best I have had. Waited super long for water and eating utensils, and then almost immediately the food came, in a jumble and out of order (like you get your meal, then the appetizer, then the water and drink you ordered 10minutes before you ordered the food). Oh wow! I absolutely loved this place. You enter into a modern looking restaurant with beautiful young people working and one gives you a tablet to choose from it's menu what you want to eat. The food was fabulous. My husband and I had Volcano Chicken and my brother had Shrimp fried rice of which he let me taste. The fried rice was delicious too. The atmosphere was wonderful and I can't wait to return when I'm visiting Siloam Springs again. I just want to thank the staff for being so professional and fast. Shared dinner with friends at So Chill Eat on a Monday night. Fun and comfortable ambiance, somewhat surprising for Siloam Springs. Friendly and prompt service. We ordered apps of egg rolls, crab Rangoon and spring rolls. Sauce is amazing, fried egg rolls were quite oily but tasted good. Spring rolls were much larger around than we were used to and a bit tough to eat as a result. Entrees included the delicious Mongolian beef stir fry and Orange Chicken. Both were good and had plenty of meat. We also ordered a so-sa-loam salmon roll and a shrimp mango roll for sushi. The salmon was fair, shrimp definitely better. However, the last time I was here I was served two containers of expired peanut sauce that tasted truly awful. Overpriced, undersized portions. Some foods do not require 'fusion' creativity - like pad Thai curry. Just a mess of flavors. Yes they serve 'sushi' in the sense that it's ingredients rolled into rice. Then drowned in a plum sauce. Like no kidding, it was unpalatable. The beginning of this restaurant is just a re-creation of the end of Thai Cafe, which was too expensive and lacking in flavor. We have been to So Chill Eat several times and have always been pleased with the food. Our last visit was not as good. My cashew stir fry was underseasoned and strangely greasy. My husband ordered the Level 4 "super hot" Massamun curry, but it was also underseasoned. Service was okay (slightly slow, but it was also quite busy) and the restaurant atmosphere itself is always pleasant, but overall, we felt it was overpriced for the quality of food we received. We ordered the fresh rolls and they were excellent. The peanut sauce had just the right amount of chili spice to taste, but not be hot. They offer several fillings (shrimp, tofu, etc.) but opted to go with just vege. They were so fresh and crisp. For an entree, we had the yellow curry with chicken. While extra spice was optional, we went with the standard spice level. Really good flavor, not heavy. Served with nice sticky white rice. While not opting for other beverages, soft drinks are a bit pricey, but the selection of alternate beverages (beer, wine, and more) is quite extensive. We are planning a next trip already. read more
