The server was very attentive. The ambience was very clean and modern with nice lighting. The food was absolutely delicious! We all ordered different dishes and all of us enjoyed them. We have eaten ramen at various restaurants in our area and we actually thought this was better than anything we've had. For one thing the Ramen noodles felt more robust, slightly thicker, and slightly more filling than others we have tried. The broth was very flavorful and delicious. We did try the mochi ice cream. We ordered four scoops of different flavors and tried them all. The flavors were mango, strawberry, chocolate and green tea. We enjoyed them all. I wanted ramen, so drove here to check it out. The interior is beautiful! I ordered a vegetarian ramen with an egg added. After a long wait, when the server brought the bowl it looked so delicious. The flavor was okay but the ramen itself wasn't served hot and steaming like it should have been and that spoiled the whole dish. And the egg I asked to be added was a cold boiled egg, just plopped in the broth whole. Still cold inside. Ramen is served hot, not lukewarm. I probably won't try this place again. read more

Wow. I've eaten much ramen in this area, but I believe this is THE BEST I've had. The broth was rich, salty, flavorful, and perfectly hot (both in its spice and temp). The hot sake was also delicious, though I recommend sharing it with a comrade, as I was totally ripped off like 3/4ths of the serving. RIP to my liver. Walked in right at opening at 5pm and was seated right away. Service was good and the waitress was knowledgeable about the menu. Appetizer was quick and hot. The portions were good- the ramen didn't require an extra side of noodles, but they were good to have to make the dish go a bit further. Chicken katsu had good flavor and presentation was good. The cutlet was rather fatty though and not exactly a great texture. Overall would definitely go back and try other menu items. I haven't posted in a while and Menya Kitakara brought me back to Yelp - this was a phenomenal place and the ramen was off the charts. The Tonkotsu and Sapporo Miso broths were rich, full of flavor. I was caught off guard and spoke with the owner/chef - Tonkotsu broth was cooked at least 16 hours!! If you are a ramen head or want authentic Japanese food, this is the spot. We also learned that this was the same owner as Ramen Nara, this is their take on Hokkaido style on the usual ramens (Ramen Nara had been our favorite spot until now - it's a tie). The chef/owner is passionately dedicated to the art of making ramen and has so much knowledge about the ingredients. He sources his ingredients from Japan, makes his broth and tare from scratch, and produces consistent while exceptional flavors. We are so lucky to have such these two amazing ramen shops here in the Midwest. I'd put these places up against shops in Japan and in CA. Definitely our cup of tea. Came in to try the ramen here because I was curious after reading the positive reviews. So I took my 10 year old daughter for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It's located in downtown Springdale, where a few new restaurants have recently opened. It was almost 2 so there weren't many people there. The restaurant is nicely decorated very minimalist and sleek. We were promptly greeted and seated. A server arrived quickly and took our drink order. I wasn't in the mood for a drink but I did notice they offered a variety of beers on draft and bottled. Didn't notice if they had a bar but assumed so. Our table offered a partial view into the kitchen but I really couldn't see much. Anyway we finally decided and I got the pork yakisoba and DD went with her usual tonkatsu with chicken and toppings on the side (she is 10). The food arrived quickly,hot, and appeared to be what we ordered. My yakisoba was hot with a slightly sticky and sweet sauce that had great wok hei flavor (hope I used that correctly). There was some chili/sesame oil on the table that was slightly spicy that balanced some of the sweetness of the sauce. I was informed by the server when I ordered that the kitchen could prepare my dish spicy but she also told me it's not a good idea unless you're used to really spicy food. So I went with the chili oil. I will say the pork that was in my dish was delicious. It seemed to be small cubes of leaner belly meat with Chinese spices. My only complaint was I wanted more of the delicious pork. My partner, who is quite the ramen aficionado, gave her approval by finishing the entire grown up size bowl of noodles and broth. I picked at the toppings she passed on including a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg soaked in soy sauce and the chicken that seemed to be poached that I thought was kinda bland. The usual suspects for ramen toppings were included. In conclusion, I would easily recommend this place for ramen and noodles. I would like to try some of the other varieties of ramen they offer. Such a cool interior. The music in the background was nice too! The food was exceptionally delicious. It arrived quickly and the flavor profiles were just amazing. The chef clearly pays attention to detail, and he is so kind. We got a chance to meet him after. We are going to be back again and again. The prices are quite reasonable. We went here for a little ramen fix before my brother-in-laws wedding this weekend. Honestly one of the best ramen places I've ever had. So much flavor in every dish.
