For those people who dont like to read someone's whole life story, the short version is that we made a reservation to be driven to the airport (paid in advance) about 56 miles away. SO Cal Limo never showed up, even though I called two days before to confirm the reservation, which I found they had messed up too. Based on my experience I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT using this company. Getting ready to go on a long distance trip is stressful enough without having to worry about whether your ride to the airport is going to show up. The long version goes something like this: I saw the Spreebird (formerly LivingSocial) deal, and thought it would be a great way to get my family to the airport for a trip I had planned for my wife (and kids) for our anniversary. I called them to make sure they had an opening for the date of our trip, and they assured me that they had plenty of limos and that date was wide open. I bought the Spreebird deal and tried to call them to make the reservation. The person told me that, even though I was speaking to them on the phone, I had to go online to make the reservation though their online system. I made the reservation online (jumped though the hoops) and received an email confirmation. Two days before the pickup date I called them to confirm the pickup. The "representative" told me that they didnt have anything under my name. I checked the confirmation again and found that the date they had scheduled us for was for 2001, rather than 2011. I figured it was an honest mistake, maybe even made by me when I did the reservation. It was clarified over the phone and the representative told me that we would be picked up in two days. Two days later our luggage was packed and waiting, but the limo never showed up. I thought they were just a couple minutes late, but when I tried to call them the number went to voicemail. I left a voicemail, but when I tried to call again I found that the number just disconnected. I looked online and found another number, but going through their voicemail tree landed me in various voicemails. We were now 30 minutes late from our original pickup time. I stuffed all of my luggage (5 suitcases and carry on) into our car and drove the 50 miles to the airport. As we left in our car I called them one more time, and this time got through to someone. He told me he would have to check the schedule with his dispatch and then call me back. Surprisingly we received a call back by someone who apologized saying that they missed their pickup. He said he would try to make it up to us, but I wouldnt try to use this company again, ever!!! Once we got to LAX we found a place to park and made it to the airport in the nick of time, luckily the parking lot company shuttle was more reliable than SOCALLIMO. I again repeat my recommendation. I was nervous to book with this company because of the bad reviews, but I decided to risk it. Thank goodness I did! The price of the limo was much better than other companies I contacted. Our driver, Brian, was a cool dude. He showed up on time, and made himself available if we needed him. My only complaint is that the limo was a bit too small for our group of 10. About 2 seats too small. Luckily all 10 of us weren't in the car the entire time, because that would have been a bigger complaint. Next time I book I will make sure to make it clear that we need a bigger ride. read more

This limo company is a joke! My friend hired them for a friends birthday party to drive us from Orange County up to Los Angeles and Back. She made a reservation a month ahead of time and then confirmed the day before our event. The limo never showed up! Then we called to find out what was going on after it was late 15 minutes and they never answered the phone! Ordered a limo. Pre-paid in full. Called the day before to confirm it would be there. The limo did not show up. Tried calling them multiple times to ask about the limo and got no answer. So my friend tried calling from his phone 10 seconds after me to see if he could get through and they answered right away. They were obviously ignoring my calls so they didn't have to deal with me. INCREDIBLY SHADY! Once I did get on the line they offered me 50% off my next limo. HA! 50% off of a limo that doesn't show up is still a scam. Don't use this company. Its is a bunch of con men. Buyer beware, I don't care how much money you save on Living Social or Groupon it's not worth it. They don't answer their online reservation requests or return their messages. By the time you get someone on the phone they say they never received the reservation request(it's their email system...) and then say they can't accommodate the reservation. We got better service from a taxi company, and a self-serve car wash for that matter. Scheduled a limo ride to and from a cruise terminal. On the return trip we called and asked if we could be picked up earlier, they said no, which was fine. I called again to let them know where we were located. Five minutes after our scheduled pick up time I called to ask where they were, and they assured me they were almost there. Fifteen minutes later the driver called me to let me know he would be there in an hour. I was livid. They did not bother to tell me during the four previous phone calls that they would be late. Their excuse was that it was the grammys. Who cares? Don't use So cal Limo unless you enjoy standing around waiting for your limousine to not show up. read more

I used this company once before and played heck getting them to call me back to make and confirm my reservation. I was finally able to make the reservation and thankfully all went well. I tried them a second time (both via a Living Social deal) and again played heck trying to get someone to call me back. After 3 attempts, I came to Yelp to read reviews to see if other people had problems with them. After reading these Yelp reviews where people were stood up, not wanting to ruin a vacation to Hawaii, I decided to request a refund form Living Social. Not sure how they stay in business. read more

After I bought it I read the reviews and was very worried that they would not pick up my daughter/ I contacted the office manager Kat who set everything up for me and was very courteous and organized. Seeing that it was a SURPRISE party I stressed that timing was important...with that said I was extremely disappointed when they called 5mins to pickup saying they were running 20mins late!!! And Yes this company sub contracts to other Limo companies, possibly this explains the service! The driver was apologetic however I feel that tardiness is no excuse in this business especially seeing how I booked it 1 month out! Again I paid in full, and this limo had 3 bottle waters in it. If I could leave NO STARS I would. Long story short: Bought a living social deal that didn't include tax or gratuity. Set-up limo transfer to the airport (which was a total pain in itself). Received a booking with a list of fees Questioned fees. They now tell me they're not fees - they're "taxes". Even though they clearly state they're fees. I tell them fees aren't even listed on their website, and there's NO WAY these are legal taxes. They tell me 25% is a limo industry standard. (Really? On what planet is 25% taxes on a service legal?) I tell them none of this was disclosed and the whole thing feels shady. They tell me word for word "I understand that customers using the living social deal are looking for a bargain and are not regular luxury transportation users." This company blows. Bought the Living Social deal, thought it would be a fun start to hubby and I's vacation. They were extremely hard to get a hold of from the get-go, not one of my calls were ever returned until the morning of my trip, which gave me SEVERE anxiety. BEWARE, the Living Social deal is a scam....when we were dropped off at the airport the driver said we owed another $18.50 in "service fees". I explained that was not specified in the fine print, only that it did not include tax and gratuity. He acknowledged that he knew that, and that other Living Social customers had complained about that....BUT...the fees were due anyway and must be paid in Cash. We just wanted to get on our plane and they guy was not budging, so we decided to pay him and I'd take care of contacting Living Social later about this. Since we had already tipped the guy, we did not have enough cash to pay him. Hubby had to go all the way through the airport to get to an ATM, finally came out about 10 minutes later and handed the driver a $20. He just pocketed it and didn't attempt or ask if we wanted the change back. I know it's only $1.50 but still.... So, fast forward to getting back from vacation. I come to find out the "service fees" were actually gratuity charges and misc. other fees. Mind you, we had already paid the driver a large tip, plus the $1.50 PLUS he also got an additional $10 out of that $18.50 as another gratuity. I know this is confusing but bottom line, we ended up tipping our damn driver almost as much as the Living Social deal cost. Needless to say, I was pissed and wrote a complaint to Living Social. Getting a refund back for all charges. Living Social's customer service ROCKS...can't say the same for So Cal Limo!!! I will not use this company again and warn you to steer clear of them as well. I'm reading some of the reviews and maybe they have improved we were happy with the experience. My friend was the one that called them and always has them for her airport travel and she is the pickiest person I know LOL I will call them next time we want to ride to the airport or for a weekend around Newport. A friend of mine rented a limo from this company for a surprise birthday party for me. They had rented the limo a month in advance. They confirmed with the company that they were still coming and the company confirmed it. The limo never showed and never called. They had to call many times and then the driver called and said he was stuck in traffic and did not want to come. Needless to say this not only cost my friends a surprise for my birthday but also cost additional money for dinner and bar reservations in Los Angeles where the limo was suppose to take us. Worst limo company ever! The owner, whose name is Tommy, I believe, is the shadiest man with the most excuses I've ever heard! Although he's quick to say he's the owner, he doesn't take ANY responsibility for the terrible service. Here's a quick run down of our experience: Nov 18th - Booked 10 passenger limo for Dec 5th at 7:30pm. paid in FULL. Dec 4th - I called at 5:10pm to confirm my reservation...so, more than 24 hours in advance. I would have appreciated RECEIVING a confirmation phone call, but whatever. At this time, I ask what alcohol comes in the limo. I was told that no alcohol is included because, and I quote, "Because we've had to many instances where people urinated in the carafes." Then he said something about having been in court over the issue. Although what he is saying is disgusting, it just all seemed really shady. I've been in plenty of limos that had alcohol that was served in original bottles....easy solution. He said there would be water, coke and sprite, but "if there wasn't enough, we could always ask the driver to stop so we could get more." That statement REALLY annoyed me, because as the owner of the company, you should stock your limo with plenty of water, coke and sprite to accommodate 10 passengers....that is the VERY LEAST you can do since you are NOT providing alcohol. Anyways, the owner asks my last name, then says, "yes, you are confirmed for tomorrow night at 7:30pm" then reads my address to me, which I confirm. Dec 5th - The day our reservation is set for. 7:30pm, no limo. 7:46pm still no limo, so I call, no answer. 7:50pm I call again, no answer. My friend calls, no answer, so he leaves a message. I call AGAIN at 7:59 and finally Tommy picks up and says he got our message and he was so sorry, but the limo driver thought the reservation was for the next day (Dec 6th). I just about lost it!! I called to confirm the day prior and the owner said everything was set up. Now he is taking no responsibility whatsoever. It is HIS responsibility to make sure HIS drivers know when and where they are supposed to be. He then says, "I already talked to my driver, and thankfully, he has a limo in his driveway, so he's leaving Irvine now and will be there in 30 minutes. Listen, I won't charge you overtime, and you'll still get your limo." You won't charge me overtime???? What overtime? I paid for 6 hours, you limo driver is going to be over an hour late, and you are acting like you are going to do ME a favor by not charging me overtime?? Seriously?? The owner then started to get an attitude with me and flippantly offered a free limo at a later time. But my thought is, WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL SHOW UP FOR A FREE LIMO WHEN YOU CAN'T SHOW UP FOR A PAID LIMO?!?! After hanging up, my friends and I decided that we didn't want to wait any longer and risk the driver not showing up at all, so I called back at 8:05pm and cancelled the ride due to this company not holding up their part of the contract which was for a 7:30pm pick up. The owner said he would refund my money, which he should have done IMMEDIATELY following getting off the phone with me, but almost 3 days later and I still have not received any sort of email notification of a refund in process. All that to say, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are super shady and not reliable at all. I asked the owner if he was aware of the yelp reviews and he said "no." People! This company is awesome! Tommy is super easy to work with and gave me a great deal. I was recently in need of a limo for my friend's bachelorette party and Tommy was able to accommodate my request plus provide an awesome deal. The driver, John, was punctual, nice, helpful, and took care of us all night! My one complaint would be the office manager, Kat, could pay attention more. I asked for a way to pay online or electronically because I did not want to pay via phone and her response was to call in a payment, I provided a new pick up location and it was not communicated to Tommy. We were flying to Cancun with friends on an early morning flight so I thought I'd treat everyone to a limo ride to the airport and bloody mary's on the way. I confirmed the night before and they assured me they'd be there. I also had a paper confirmation. When no one showed, we kept calling and calling and no one answered. They never showed up and we almost missed our flight. Thank God for Yellow Cab!!! I would never recommend this company. This company has zero customer service. I booked them through Living Social for a trip to and from LAX from/to Mission Viejo. They explained that the trip from LAX to Mission Viejo would be extra $ because they have to wait, check on flight, etc.. I understood and accepted their price. The day before we were to leave for Europe, we decided that we had to go 1 hour earlier. We called them numerous times that day, left messages and never got a call back. We were afraid they were out of business so we scheduled another service to pick us up both ways. We called, sent a FAX and an email advising them of same. On the way to the airport with another service, we got a call from them asking where we were! We told them we had cancelled. When we got home from our trip, they called to say they were at the airport waiting for us. We had cancelled and told them so. There was no apology, no one called to see what was going on - NOTHING! They obviously pay no attention to their messages. In the meantime, they charged our credit card for the difference between the living social deal and their full fee for the pick up. I have written numerous emails and not gotten a response of any kind from them. Guess this was a $90 lesson for me!! I would give them less than one star if I could. read more

The DAY OF our special event we were notified that the limo's transmission needed to be replaced and that they would not be able to accommodate our party. We were forced to find another limo service on the fly and ended up paying significantly more. So Cal Limousine provided no relief and took no responsibility. They didn't even seem apologetic. After purchasing a living social deal for a one way ride to LAX, I made a reservation about 3 weeks prior to vacation. I had several email correspondents with SoCal Limo regarding times and dates etc. Finally had the reservation made to be picked up at 9:45 am. 9:55 rolls around,NO limo, NO phone call, nothing. I called SoCal Limo who informed me that not only did I NOT have a reservation, they (SoCal Limo) didn't have any reservations at all for the day. (No wonder!) After my husband and I rushed to get our bags in our car and got on the road, I decided to forward my email confirmation to SoCal Limo, and asked how my reservation was overlooked. The equipment and service provided to LAX was exceptional, as per what was promised. However the phone conversations upon our return were vague and somewhat rude. After we landed at LAX I called your company to notify the driver/dispatcher that our group was on time and on the ground. I only received a response of call back after you have your luggage. After we got our luggage and went thru customs I called again and again the response was short and somewhat rude. He said wait for the driver to call. within seconds the driver from Fleetwood called (lituraly not enough time for any one to have called him) and said he was waiting for us at the exit. Your employee NEVER said anything about another company picking us up, NEVER!! I was told upon booking these transportation arrangements that a 10 passenger limo would be provided BOTH directions. This did not occur. The Ford VAN that was provided by Fleetwood was adequate but was NOT what was promised. The total cost for your limo service was quoted at $143.00 each way plus gratuity. That is what it was to LAX but Fleetwood charged $ 181.00 (gratuity included). This was not agreed upon at the time I booked the service. In summery: So Cal Limousine contracted to provide a ROUND trip service but did not live up to their promise. The fact that your employee NEVER notified me that a different limo company was providing the return trip really irritated me. A little common courtesy would have gone a long ways in this case. As to the Fleetwood driver/service he was VERY courteous and apologetic for your short comings. read more
