Self service at checkout indicates that the corporation is cutting corners on personnel. The setup for checkout is very weird. Instead of lanes like in supermarkets, there is one side of the aisle for cashier, and other other side with two self checkout areas. This is okay for picking up stuff for scrap booking or perhaps holiday themed ornamental displays. For professional artists, look elsewhere.

The shelves are almost empty of yarn, but it looked like they received a new shipment of yarn and they had stacked all the boxes on top of the shelves. So I return the next day, because it was non-urgent at the time, and the boxes are still there. No yarn on the shelves. I give it another week. Still no yarn unpacked. At this point I give up and go straight online to order. I really needed to get started on this project. Fast forward to a month later, I'm back at this location for something else this time. I bump into another customer that makes a comment about the boxes of yarn that have yet to be unpacked and put on the shelves. We were in the same boat. Waiting over a month for them to stock their shelves with yarn. It's a new week, I'm guessing the yarn still has not been unpacked.

It has a fall theme - perfect for this time of year - is a fairly good size, and cost around $35, which is not a bad price considering that you'll pay much more for smaller wreaths from Williams-Sonoma. The woman who sold me the wreath was very pleasant and makes all of the wreaths herself. I received a lot of compliments on the product, and it looks very nice on my front door. It's worth noting that I've never actually been to the Cornwall Country Crafts store. The owner had set up a booth at an arts and crafts fair I went to and that's where I ended up purchasing the wreath. While I have no idea what the store itself is actually like, I'm sure it's probably lovely and well-maintained. They make lovely products, so it stands to reason that the store should be lovely as well.

All I can say is WOW What a disappointment. First off the…read morestore name is not Hudson Valley Print Shop so that was a bit confusing (see picture). After having several emails back and forth regarding what I'd like done I went to the shop on a Tuesday. I had told him the previous Friday that I'd be coming in to drop off the items for embroidery on Tuesday. When I get there he tells me he can't have the items ready before Christmas despite telling me there was a 2 week turnaround time (it was before 2 weeks). His response to me was "well I have had other people come in since we talked". Really you got that many orders the Monday after I talked to you on Friday?! (Shop is closed on the weekends). It was a 40 minute drive to get there and he was not the least bit accommodating. I truly hate to slam businesses but this was extremely poor form. Don't lie to your customers. Additionally, he charged $75 for digitizing logos which is high compared to other establishments.
