Visiting from Houston, Tx The staff here is friendly and the…read moreplace is HUGE! Basketball, pickleball, weights, indoor soccer field, ping pong, and a lot more. I had a great time experiencing most of what yall offered. Can't wait to come back and check out the rest.

The CORE stands for the Center for Recreational Excellence…read more It's a workout facility in the City of Hobbs which is located in the southeast area of New Mexico. This place has a few pitfalls that keep me from not purchasing a yearly membership: First off, the wait to get to where you're going can be a bit much. The lines are a bit confusing as it is. They've since simplified it within the 9 months that I have lived here, but it could be even more simpler. Second, the clientele are less than appeasing. I tend to cause like a sailor, but not in public. It gets old. Amenities: + cardio equipment on the top floor + free weights, plate loaded, and selectorized machines on the bottom floor + gym (the floor is lined for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, four-square & shuffleboard) + indoor track + lap pool + locker room + personal trainer available + racquetball courts (2 available... reservations also available) + splash pad + spa (for ages 13 years & up) + sports programs (adult & youth) + studio & wellness classes + turf (soccer, flag football, ultimate frisbee, & golf) + water slides (4' & taller) My girls have participated in the volleyball classes here which were okay, but not very competitive. Just this past weekend (5/6/2023) I took the to the splash area for the first time area. Even though I declined to swim, I was still charged admission ($4 for the entire day). My 8 & 9-year-olds were charged $3 apiece for entry. In the splash area which is completely indoors, there are two sets of bleachers and multiple individual lounge chairs and side tables scattered all around. Free parking.

If I could leave ZERO STARS I would. The AUDACITY of this place is comical really. The staff was…read morerude as hell to say the least. I was forced to sign a 12 month contract before I was even offered a tour of the place. I signed up went to work out and was horrified by what I saw. This place is disgusting. The ceiling is literally falling in, in multiple places. It smells like mold mildew and has not been cleaned in probably ten years or more. The equipment was broke down. The staff was so unhelpful and tacky. Do Not Waste your time or your money with this trashy place!! There are so many better places in town that are 100x better all the way around. ITS VERY OBVIOUS that there are major issues ranging from structural, to plumbing and even exercise equipment that have clearly been left in those conditions for quite some time- certainly long before I came there. Why on earth would I want to give that another chance or even risk my health or safety in such an environment? I will be calling BBB and health department on this place the only thing Premier about it is the bad attitude from the manager. EDIT: luckily I've discovered I actually did NOT sign a contract so there shouldn't be any further issue, or contact from this company. Would I like my money back? Of course but maybe yall need it more than I do, fix your mess! Do better!!

Okay here is my take from an out of town perspective…read more If you are looking for out of tourneys this is probably one that you want to skip out on. Here's why, the courts 3-4 are so hot you feel like you're in a sauna. It's almost unbearable to be in the gym. Not sure how kids can play in the extreme heat. In addition to it being so hot, they make you pay to get into the gym. $5.00 to be hot? Yikes! So as far as competitive teams, the local parent said they never travel because area teams travel to them to play such as: Hobbs, Clovis, Dell City. Eh, don't think I'd want to drive back for those teams. We travel often and Vegas as been the best out of town tourney for us. More exposure and the top of top kids traveling to play ball with other elite kids. We won the tourney and were expecting to get at least a trophy. Nope, both teams got cheesy medals. Eh, it was just $160 to register but still, you'd think they'd do more at least for the winners of the tourneys. What could trophies really cost? Anyhow, I'm sure as a resident we'd enjoy this location for the amenities but for an out of town tourney, no way! Thanks Lubbock!
