It's located on the Mills Elementary School campus, but maintained by the City of Hobbs. So it is reclaimed water. Don't drink it! To activate all the water features--including a huge overhead bucket that tips over, pouring cold water onto screaming children--just push down relatively hard on the large yellow button on the northern side. As much as they may want to, tell your kids not to run. My daughter's gooberish friend excitedly ran, slipped, and sliced her leg pretty good on the concrete. Restrooms are nearby. Picnic tables. A gazebo. A small playground. Plenty of street parking or along the fence in the alley. Bring: - towels - sunscreen - foldout chair - bottled water - your phone to do slo-motion water play videos of your crazy kids. Lol.

There are a number of water features that spray, splash, and soak you, so there is something for everyone. Our favorite was the bucket that fills up and then flips to soak those standing below. We took our late lunch, and ate in at one of the covered picnic tables and watched the kids get wet. Okay, I'll be honest I also joined in the fun. No regrets! I'm giving this four stars because it could use a cleaning of the drains, so the water can flow better and the bathrooms also needed some attention. Overall, though, I recommend. I'm from out of town, and I elsewhere in the country we have to pay to use a small splash pad like this one. Impressed!

It is very difficult to reach anyone during the off season. I've tried reaching them for 2 or 3…read moreyears in the off season to purchase season passes for Christmas gifts. I never once received a return call or email, but just kept checking back on the website for the ability to purchase the passes online. Every time before the season passes for the next year weren't open for purchase yet in October, November or December, although I was just able to purchase them finally. It seems the season pass (about $150/each) is the more economical way to go as it is very expensive for a day pass, over $30 per person. To add insult to injury, they don't allow bringing in outside food or drinks and the refreshment stand is limited and pricey, as well. Despite the price the kids always have a good time and it's a great way to spend a hot West Texas summer day!

There are multiple poop bag dispensers as well as trash cans and a very nice covered gazebo area with nice picnic tables underneath it on both sides of the dog park. They also have benches strategically placed all around the park for you to sit on as well as a very nice watering facility. You park right next to the dog park and you can easily walk around the interior of the fence line it looks very well-maintained and there are not a lot of biological landmines which is always important!!
