She kept repeating the same questions and wasn't really listening to what I was saying. I told her more than once that I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy anything, but she kept pushing, saying how good it looked and brushing past my hesitation. Eventually, I handed over my card without actually saying I wanted to buy it--I felt cornered. Right after the transaction, I said I didn't like it, and she immediately told me there were no refunds. Then she asked if I was okay, but by that point, it was already done. The whole thing felt more about getting the sale than actually caring if I was comfortable or happy with what I was buying. Definitely not the kind of experience I'd want to have again.

I was pleasantly surprised by her outstanding service and her knowledge of her products. I ended up Los Cerritos Nordstroms because 1) it is brand new - just (re)opened last Friday. By the way, the layout is amazing and v. pleasant to shop. 2) I needed to stock up on Shu Uemura products because the company is pulling all US retail stores. Yes, you must run to your nearby Shu Uemura and stock up on their amazing eye lash curlers and make up brushes.... (and cleansing oil, if you use it) or you'll need to pay $50 in international shipping once they go 100% online. I didn't have enough time to shop so I'll be going back next week. But, I really recommend this Nordstrom & Danielle, the Cosmetics Counter Manager. Just don't book her time next Saturday because I need at least 3 hours of her time to edit my S/S make up!

But I started seeing inconsistencies with prices and also how she was doing her service overall. And this time around she kept rescheduling me, for unknown reasons. OKAY NOW BACK TO TYMPLE I'm biracial and I have 2C/3A. I know by hair isn't the curliest but it's so hard to find someone whom knows how to cut curly hair correctly. And it was important for me to support a black owned business so after doing some digging, I found Tymple.
