Members should know this by now given all the complaints about this location. The gym is a mid sized gym. Not small like most comments on here. Not sure based on these comments made from people calling out it is small. The layout is a bit different. Yes. The Main Studio feels like a glass while everyone looks at you work out. You see, most Equinox locations I have visited either the main studio is tucked away partially from the gym's floor visibility or has a wall to make it a bit more private. I felt like the main studio at the Williamsburg location everyone from all angles can see you workout. The yoga studio is downstairs. Right across from the women's locker. Would have been nice if the main studio was situated the same as well. My guess is depending what time you visit will depend how less crowded or crowded it is. Personally, I have zero complaints about this location. My only complaint is I dislike those numerical combination lockers.

Disliked: terrible ventilation/climate control (asked if they could install fan, but they said nah), music too loud (had to wear earplugs), and the final straw: they rented out the yoga studio, so there is no quiet, out of the way place to stretch. Ended my membership and joined Grindhouse, which is cheaper, has good AC and high ceilings, plenty of machines, music not too loud, and has an OK place to stretch-- alas with no views.

Avoid F45 Williamsburg at all costs…read more This was supposed to be my wife's first F45 class in New York. She was on the ClassPass waitlist, got the notification 20 minutes before class that a spot opened, signed up immediately, and drove over. She arrived two minutes before the class started, and was locked out of the gym. Once someone finally realized, it was 3 minutes later, and she was rudely denied entry by the staff member at the front desk (10:15am, Sept 27, 2025). She not only lost $20 in ClassPass credit, but was embarrassed and disrespected by the unreasonable woman working there. Denying a new member who clearly made the effort to get there, especially on their very first visit, is not just bad customer service - it's predatory and unethical. This is a business that seems more interested in scamming people out of credits than actually building a community. Brooklyn has countless gyms and studios that treat people with respect. Don't waste your time or money here. F45 Williamsburg has proven they will gladly take your money while turning you away at the door. Until they make this right, this location deserves to be avoided and held accountable.

Between the shady billing practices, the unjustified cancellation fee, and the lack of cleanliness, I would strongly recommend avoiding this gym altogether.

The circuit class had six stations so after every change, I forgot what the exercise was but she was there to quickly run through it with me. She was also very encouraging. At the end of the class she mentioned of a competition day that was open to everyone. The space has nothing but a water fountain, lockers, bathroom, sanitizer and cleaning wipes for the machine, no towels, shower or amenities. I enjoy Metcon (5min exercise - 1min rest) and the variety of it all. The class went quickly and id definitely do the class again. It was my first time working out in a while and i could keep up. Would give it 5 stars but lack of amenities is a big bummer.

There are some management issues with the pool I would address though. The chlorine is WAY TOO high. Your eyes will burn, your hair will be super dry and any clothes that I put on after my swim that get wet have bleach spots over them. They need to really regulate the chlorine levels. Also, since they usually only have one lifeguard on the pool, that lifeguard should be in the middle (side) of the pool. The guard is way off into the corner, leaving complete blind spots in the deep end of the pool. There are not many strong swimmers at the pool (ie: designated women's lap swim) so to leave the deep end essentially a giant blind spot is unprofessional and dangerous . otherwise, i can always find a spot to swim at the General Lap swim.
