Had to downgrade. I called to inquire about buying a season pass and if they offer a military discount. They used to but no longer. I will not buy a season pass and will split my time elsewhere. Your loss Snowy. Support the vets!

Easy drive from Laramie, ample parking. We're here for New Years week and there was never a lift line. Friendly staff. It's a bit windy and can be hard packed if no fresh powder. A half day ticket starting at noon, is a steal. Snow is softer, wind seems to die down and less flat light. Beginner runs from the base are good, from the top there's a decent amount of flat terrain linking the green runs, so if you can't hold an edge and keep your speed up, be prepared to skate a bit. Blue runs are really pretty beginner friendly. Food is your typical resort, grab n go.

If you want the best mid-mountain martini bars, followed by 5-star hotels at the base and pretentious pricks in brightly colored ski gear, then you suck. If you don't suck go to Snowy Range Ski Area in Wyoming. Like Wisconsin with short lines, simple amenities and cool locals but in a real wild west setting. The mountain has runs of almost two miles long, several lifts and 250 acres of Medicine Bow National Forest at your disposal. Got a wax and edge, sounds dirty but it's not, for just $17 at the base. Small bar and typical ski food. Rocked a bread bowl of the green pork chili, which is just too good. The bartender and all the locals were chill and made me feel right at home. I used to waste my time and money in Colorado, but with all the craft beer of Colorado and the convenience of a smaller hills in Wisconsin, Snowy Range will be my home away from home. You can ski just as good a mountain all weekend for what a one day pass would cost at Vail, Breck, Winter, or Steamboat. If you like spending too much, are a poser, like ski/board gear more than actually riding than stay exactly where you are. If you want to ride amazing powder with a bunch of locals and then bend your elbow in good company come and see what you are missing.

So... broke 8 straps on three consecutive runs!!! Not a good start to the day! But was greeted every time by Conan at the repair shop with a laugh and a smile!!! This guy is amazing and really enjoys his job!!! Also Riley is the man !!! Taught my daughter how to ski in under two hours . Thank you snowy range ! You two guys made this a great experience

Gorgeous view! Perfect little place for all levels of skiing!

Great place for all levels of skiing! We have lots of fun here. No wait lift lines is a great plus!! The cost is so nice - you could pay more and wait more in line at other resorts and be dodging people on the mountain the entire way down...not at Snowy Range. It's a great scenic drive in with easy access. Our teenage daughter invited a couple of her friends (who have never skied) along this week and we came away from the mountain with two new skiers. They talked almost the whole drive home and started planning their next trip!!

Most employees here are great, but the occasional jerk, like we encountered on the ski patrol today, puts a damper on things.

Really cool small ski resort. Everyone was extremely friendly. Small fun runs and the snow was better than expected.

Very close to Laramie, economical and best place to start learning. A family focused ski area with decent food options.

I still remember the phrase "Champagne Powder" from back in the day, and the light, dry snow and beautiful aspen tree skiing lived up to the billing. I was young and pretty clueless about the broader ski world when I first visited, but with many more years and places since, I appreciate even more how welcoming, unpretentious, and genuinely Western Steamboat felt. I've been fortunate to visit in both winter and summer, and the town is remarkably special in either season. Winter brings the skiing, while some of my favorite summer memories are tubing down the Yampa River and going to the rodeo, experiences that make Steamboat feel like much more than a ski resort. It has been a long time since my last visit, and the mountain has clearly evolved considerably since then. Still, the combination of spectacular terrain, Western heritage, and an unusually warm sense of place is what has stayed with me. Highly recommended.

The runs are long and offer a variety of terrain from beginner to expert. If you're lucky enough to break off in the trees you'll find great snow and sparse crowds. The views are beautiful from every point. It's also convenient to have two gondolas and ski school being moved to mid mountain. Love the apres ski vibes, wide offering of food places and places to grab a coffee or beer. Wish I was there right now!

We loved the community feel .... huge fireplace in lobby, tv area, game table area (they don't provide games though). Our room was pretty quiet and comfy. We could have used a comforter or extra blankets. It was also nice having the shuttle service to the ski resort and downtown till' 10:30pm. I realize that watching tv is not what we should be doing on a vacation, but after a long day, we wanted to watch movies and football. I would rather have a Roku system set up on the tv so I could log into my own streaming services (Netflix, HBO, etc.). I found it extremely difficult to find which channels work and which ones didn't. We ended up watching tv on our computer, which was a bummer. The hot tubs are one of the reasons we booked this resort. However, they were EXTREMELY dirty. There was dirt/grime layered on the edge where the water sits on both hot tubs. The chlorine was so incredibly strong that I kept having to get out to breathe. We mentioned it to the guy who was coming in at the end of the night to close the pool down that it needed to be scrubbed. It was better the next day, but still gross. I think someone needs to tend to the hot tubs throughout the day, especially when there are a lot of kids playing in them. And the chlorine is AWFUL! There was no conditioner in my shower. The tub drain was so slow that it filled up as I showered. The kitchen needs a few items (baking pans, etc.). We weren't able to cook our biscuits. There were no plugs by the bedside for phones. We appreciated the washer/dryers that were free of charge. It would be nice to have a vending machine that sells detergent. It's a no frills place, but it was also the best pricing we could find for what you get. :)
