As a result they matched the price of Amazon and also took another 10% off making it great value for money :)

This is quite a big shop in the Two Rivers shopping centre in Staines, but it's rare to see any…read morecustomers in it when you walk past. It may be something to do with the prices of the goods and the service you get if you do go in. I've been in here on a couple of occasions while looking for a new laptop and a DVD recorder respectively. As the Sony Centre only sells Sony products their prices are higher than a lot of other places as they tend to charge the Recommended Retail Price rather than being able to discount as other chains do. When I was looking for a laptop they didn't have the model I wanted to look at and then tried to keep me in the shop saying that the manager of another branch would drive one over for me look at - a bit odd I thought. On the other occasion I went in the only staff member in the shop was on the phone (on what sounded like a personal call) - he was still talking 10 minutes later when I left. I own a number of Sony products and will probably buy more in the future - but I won't buy them at the Staines Sony Centre.

This "3 Store" on Oxford Street is probably one of my favourite branches within the Three chain,…read morenow I'm an O2 Customer who interestingly recently almost was taken over by 3, which was blocked due to the competition watchdog in the European Union. Being on Oxford Street, the branch is located on London's main, flagship and busiest shopping street, many other networks have branches nearby including EE, Vodafone and O2, but this branch goes above and beyond the rest, it actually stands out, it isn't just another small, typical branch. The store has many of the latest phones on demo, however, there was an issue with many of them not working due to being locked due to an Apple ID issue, after speaking to a member of staff who seemed friendly enough he explained about other customers logging into their Apple ID and then erasing the device on Find my iPhone, which caused it not to work and require connecting back to that account. Sad! The store its-self is a decent size, it is over more than one floor, although I don't obviously presume what the upper floor is for, I presume it is for a staff area and perhaps business users. I liked how they had a small electronic device showing tariff prices, but it would have been better if it was a little bigger and perhaps had more information and was laid out better, but still, a useful and cool approach, especially if you just want a quick browse at prices, without being drawn into conversation with a salesman. One of my favourite branches of Three, albeit it still appears to fall a little short compared to other stores such as the new concept O2 stores, of which one can be found closer to my home on Market Street - Manchester, but still this store did impress me with decent staff, a decent modern layout and even cool "texts" outside which I presume are common words used in the city on day to day messaging. 4*

They also have a line of pre-owned consoles and games which means that not only can you get a bargain, but you can trade in your old stuff for store credit. They will buy items too, but you get more for them if you go for store credit. I went in the Hemel branch this afternoon, and the staff were great. I had 2 end of day tantrums in tow, but they weren't phased at all. They quickly acknowledged my prescence, and found the item I was loking for. They were even nice to me after my youngest had decided to trash the window display!

Many times I have been confronted with rude staff, wrong discs in boxes and non functioning items. Whenever (and whatever) you trade in to sell for cash, they usually do not have the cash on site, leaving you with a 'credit note' in order to buy bad quality items. The staff are very poor. On more than one occasion the staff swear in front of their customers and most of them had no idea what they were doing. Their attire also had a lot to be desired as most of the men wear casual clothes and the women very little. The casual clothes not being too much of a problem, but makes it hard to distinguish which is a customer and which is a salesperson. I have given Cex, the Derby shop, I 1 star out of 5 due to its terrible service and lack of care to the customer.
