Curiosity won, and I pulled over--turns out, it wasn't your typical ice cream shop. Around here, they call it a creemee--a local twist I quickly picked up on as I listened to the locals eagerly waiting for their names to be called along with their favorite flavors. Naturally, I had to go with the maple creemee. I mean, when in Vermont, how can you not try something maple? One bite in, and I was sold. It's not quite like traditional soft-serve--the texture is smoother, silkier on the tongue, and the maple flavor was rich without being overly sweet. I also couldn't resist grabbing a maple soda and some maple candy while I was at it. (Hey, don't judge--did I mention how long that hike was?) I only wish I had the stomach to try more flavors; judging by the one I had, I can only imagine how delicious the rest must be. If you find yourself wandering the back roads of Vermont, keep your eyes peeled for a creemee stand--you're in for a real treat.

We were especially impressed to see a vegan breakfast option on the menu, as many places don't cater to vegans at all, particularly for breakfast. Both sandwiches were delicious, and it was great to feel so thoughtfully accommodated. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily recommend Uncommon Coffee to friends. We just wish it were closer to home so we could visit more often!

We bought some fudge and a Whizbang bar both of which were delicious. We had the salted caramel chocolate fudge and one of the candy creators said he made both parts of that flavor and that it was one of his favorites. The caramel was definitely delicious and buttery and the fudge was smooth and perfect. The Whizbang bar is a white chocolate and peanut butter combination that reminded me of a much better version of a treat we made as kids. When I went to upload my pictures I found that Whizbangs hadn't yet been added to Yelp! I then learned they are a very new business and just opened in August of 2025. The story of the business is on the website, and it's always great to see people following a dream. I hope they do well! If I had known they were new and didn't have any pictures yet I would've taken more! I hope others will add more photos soon!
