This has to be the worst place you can go for braces. They say one thing then change after treatment begins. My son is currently in phase 2 and has been in treatment for over 5 years. Why does it take this long? He started phase 1 with invisalign. Did not work at all. Then they started phase two with braces and he still in them four years later had to graduate still in braces. If you miss an appointment. They charge you for it and are Not accommodating to schedule a new one you must wait until your next scheduled appointment to be seen. Don't waste your time or money here. I had Invisalign with Dr. Snow, but never saw the man. It was completed in 2017. I wore my retainers for 1 year after I was done, but obviously not long enough because my teeth went right back, but worse. I went back in, in 2020 and it was a whole new crew. Dr. Snow's son is working there now who is SO RUDE!! The price had nearly doubled and all their equipment was outdated. I decided to go to Smile Dental where my Granddaughter goes 20'th st W in Lancaster and it was night and day. They charged me half of what Snow charged me and they put them on right then offering me a permanent retainer after I was done. And......they were Sooooo Nice!!!! The Lancaster office is beautiful and seemingly well organized. I should have payed attention to an earlier customer reviewer who explained their discomfort watching a Black staff member being yelled at by other staff in the open for everyone to see. My personal experiences in this office have been nothing short of challenging and arduous. I began services in March, 2021 for invisible aligner trays. I was told that I would not need services for longer than 1 year because I had braces once before in my teenage years and needed correction on 1 bottom tooth. 2+ years later, my teeth are still not fully aligned. During the 2+ years of service, the assistants poorly added attachments to my teeth and some would come off 1-2 days after being placed. This became a major problem after I moved to Long Beach and could not simply visit for such mistakes. After the first year, they drilled the attachments off and said they would need to add new attachments (basically begin services over again) to continue shifting my bottom tooth. Painful! The second year came and went and the bottom teeth are still not fully aligned. The teeth have shifted and they look more strait than before but are not complete. At the time of what was suppose to be my final visit to remove the attachments and receive a retainer, the doctor looked at my teeth and said they are still crooked and I would need to start again with more attachments, again. I knew I could not do another year of travel from Long Beach, attachments falling off days after being installed, and 22 hours per day of wearing the trays for a 3rd year to fix 1 tooth. I explained that I wanted to be done and I would take a retainer and move on. The doctor and assistant seemed annoyed at my decline for further services but they did remove the attachments. They did not offer any post treatment services like teeth cleaning and teeth whitening as indicted in their menu of services. I returned a couple of weeks later for my final retainer. I went home and began using the retainer as directed. By the 4th day, I noticed that the retainer had shifted my bottom tooth into a more crooked angle. I could not believe it. I called the office and they threatened a $200 charge for another retainer. I attempted to explain the matter but they seemed unconvinced and spoke to me as if I was creating a problem that did not exist. Thank goodness their was a 3 month check-up appointment scheduled for all patients receiving treatment. I went to the appointment and attempted to explain the matter in person. The assistant informed me that I would have to pay for a new retainer. I advocated by saying that there seems to be a mistake and showed her before and after pictures of the teeth shifting. I then asked to speak to someone privately so that the other customers wouldn't feel so uncomfortable with us speaking business in this manner, as I am sitting in the dental chair among other customers. She told me that there was no one in the office for me to speak to. She said she could see the problem and proceeded to get the doctor. The doctor looked at the picture and acknowledged the tooth shift from the retainer. Both the doctor, and assistant seemed exacerbated, and annoyed at my presence and motions to receive optimal care. Speaking about the matters of my process in the open in front of other customers in attempt to convince the staff that my concerns were valid and that a mistake was made with my retainer made me feel alienated, embarrassed, and invisible. I eventually spoke to someone from billing and described the details of my experience. They explained that they would not refund my money even though my teeth are still not fully aligned after experiencing substandard care, being told a false date of completion, and being subject to staff who seem to dismiss or ignore my customer concerns. Im also still paying for services til this day. Remember to get services from companies who will hire and respect people who look like you. Yes, I lost lots of money but maybe you don't have to. read more

I'm typically not the type of person to write negative reviews but I just had the worst appointment experience I've ever had so felt one was needed. I've been seeing Snow orthodontics for over 3 years now for my invisalign treatment that was supposed to take 1.5 to 2 years. Appointments at the Palmdale office are nearly impossible to get within a timely manner. Good luck trying to reschedule your appointment. I usually have to wait over a month or two to been seen if I have to reschedule. I've rescheduled at the Lancaster office to be seen sooner and both times have been a disaster so I would not recommend that office either. I've experienced too many issues overall to list here. I tried contacting someone in charge to express my complaints but I was told "Lyndsay" was too busy to take my call. So instead I spoke with someone at the Lancaster office who brushed off my complaints. Looking forward to finishing my treatment so I don't have to deal with Snow Orthodontics again. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. This place is the WORST! Had my braces on two years and some change. The day came to get them off and my teeth look great and straight! They scheduled an appt to get a mold of my teeth and make my retainers. I picked them up, and was told that I would need to come in again in another week for another mold scan as my gums were a bit inflamed. No problem. A week later I go in to get my mold, and then come back a couple days later to pick it up. Everything sounds perfect right? Wrong. After !!!ONE MONTH!!!! of wearing the retainers my teeth moved!!!!! They're no longer straight and my snaggle tooth has moved back to where it was before braces. (This was the reason why I got braces in the first place!). I called and informed them, and they told me to go in for a check up consultation type appt to talk with ortho. He does agree my teeth shifted (THEY SHOULDNT HAVE), he puts little indents in my retainers to move my teeth back in place and tells me to wear my retainers 24/7. I hate wearing the retainers, it's like Invisalign. Obviously I got braces in the beginning intentionally bc I did not want to have to deal with taking the retainer (Invisalign type) out every time I ate, when I talked to important people at work (these retainers can make you spit and have a lisp), and brushing them like you have two sets of teeth! & I have horrible gag reflex when taking them in and out. I go in after a few weeks and tell ortho I can't wear retainers 24/7. Can you just put braces back on? He said yeah no problem and walks away. Some chick comes up with an attitude telling me my contract expired and that it's going to cost and additional $2,500 to correct my teeth because they moved AFTER ONE MONTH OF GETTING MY BRACES OFF! I already paid them $4,500!!!!! Ridiculous!!!!! After back and forth with management they said it's my fault my teeth moved between the time I got my braces off and my molds got made for my retainers. In which SNOW dental assistants or whatever they're called are the ones who schedule the appts! They offered to lower the cost, but either way I still have to pay because it's my fault. Do better. It was ONE MONTH after getting my braces off. Not six month; not a year. ONE MONTH. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This experience was the boiling point for me. Like someone mentioned in prior reviews it's true, appts are hard to get, you have the appt yet get called back 30 min later, and insurance/consultation people are a joke. You're a transaction. After reading people's terrible reviews I wish I would have read them before getting braces with Dr Snow! I've had braces before with western dental and my results were amazing but I didn't wear my retainers so I decided to go somewhere else wish I didn't though, I'm not happy with my results and they want to charge me extra to keep them longer. Everytime I would tell dr show he wouldn't show any type of care nor would he communicate about the dislikes I have. I was supposed to get them off a year ago and the ladies are not so thoughtful either. The only person who showed care was the guy who would changed my rubber bands because he also noticed my teeth not straight enough. This place is an absolute joke. Julie, in particular, is unscrupulous. My insurance claim was cancelled due to her lack of ability to return information to my insurance in a timely manner. When I inquired about what happened, I was lied to. I honestly would have appreciated accountability over deceit. It's been more than 3 months since my consult, still no aligners and now I have a cancelled claim because she failed to respond to my trust fund systematically. She responded, yes, AFTER I CALLED her and it was just too late. Julie did suggest that she could resend the information and start the process all over again, at that point I had enough. Don't waste your time or money here. I should have paid attention to the negative reviews already on here. I did take my business elsewhere and was able to find a better financial offer on aligners. They also got the ball rolling simultaneously, so I just have to wait the 6 weeks for them to produce my aligners while waiting for approval from my insurance. I do, however, owe Julie a little gratitude for being inefficient at her job because I did save $1500 by switching orthodontists. read more

I can't even find the words right now. My son has been in a invisalign for almost 4 years. Dr Mike was our Dr when we started this journey. He was amazing. Now we have Dr Dan (Dr Snow Jr). Any time I have questions this guy literally runs away. He has no professional skills dealing with paying customers questions. He is very quick to pass the buck and offer no helpful solutions. From the first time we stepped foot in the office, every team member has worked to answer all our questions and meet all our needs. We only met with Dr. Snow himself for the initial consultation. At first we were a little disappointed that he would not actually be our son's doctor. Our disappointment quickly disappeared as soon as we met Dr. Karmen Massih. She always makes us feel important and welcome. Dr. Massih is always happy to personally sit down with us, at each and every visit, and answer our questions as well as discuss our son's goals, needs, and treatment options. But I have to say, the icing on the cake is Velvet. She is assigned to our son's treatment and we have each of our appointments with her. Velvet has always attempted to talk to and get to know our son, not an easy task when dealing with a shy teenage boy. She always shows an interest in him as well as the rest of our family, whom she has never met. Let's face it, orthodontic treatment is not fun. My daughter's 20 month treatment was interrupted due to COVID in addition to the impossibility of getting appointments, brackets falling off, and their terrible customer service. During our last appointment we were told that she needed another nine months to finish the job, and due to our contract expiring after 20 months, we would need to pay an additional $5,000.00!!! Our initial 20 months was a total of $6,000.00, so how can they possibly justify another $5,000.00 for 9 months? When I stated that perhaps her contract should have been extended because we were unable to bring her in due to COVID, I was informed that the office had remained open and wether or not I felt comfortable bringing my daughter in or that my entire family had gotten sick with COVID was irrelevant, our contract was up and I could either choose to pay up or have her braces taken off. I don't ever write reviews but felt this was much needed after my last experience here. I've been doing invisalign for a few years now and due to personal conflicts have had to reschedule several of my appointments which have always ended up being another month out. I finally was able to make it and am informed that my invisalign will be expiring in a few months and that the doctor will come to evaluate me and let me know options. Before the doctor gets a chance to come over, a woman comes up stating there will be several fees and I would need to pay out of pocket but doesn't know how much because the doctor had not seen me. The doctor then comes while she is saying this and spends 30 seconds looking at me tells me itll be 6-9 months and walks away. I try explaining that I have had lots of personal issues going on as to why I couldn't make it in sooner to where she responds "WE ALL HAVE STUFF GOING ON!" not only in a loud tone but in front of all the other staff and patients there. She doesn't even take into account that we have been in a Pandemic for almost a year now. I was not trying to cause a scene and did not ever raise my voice when talking to her so to have her come off so rude took me by surprise. As i'm trying to weigh my options that I had to ask for, the girl helping me (who was very nice) starts removing my old buttons off my teeth and while she is drilling in my mouth the woman comes back and is asking if I have made my decision and what I'm going to do. I try to ask more questions, since they only seem to care about payment, about what is going to happen depending on what option I decide to take but all she continues to tell me is "there will be fees and that I need to be compliant" when asked if she was the office manager she stated no that she is the "treatment coordinator". When I try to explain to her that I would have issues coming to an appointment in May she shrugged and made a face that clearly stated "oh well" I understand that my treatment is expiring but instead of properly giving me options or steps to take from there she clearly only cares about the money. There was no reason for the "treatment coordinator" to not only raise her voice to a patient in front of everyone but also to continue to step in and be rude when the girl that was helping me was very nice and was informing me of what was happening just fine. It is not only very unprofessional but also unnecessary especially in front of other patients. If she wanted to speak to me about options involving dollar amounts she could have taken me into an office privately as they had done in the past. Clearly they have no concern for HIPPA compliance. Clearly, as I have read other recent reviews, they are having issues with their management. Just as another reviewer stated I am going to finish out my already paid invisalign treatment and be done with Snow Orthodontics. I would not recommend them to anyone especially since they lack compassion and only are concerned about the money. There are way too many other options for orthodontic care in the AV to have to deal with rude staff. Please do not waste your time or money here! read more

My teeth are responding great to the treatment plan and with a new revision and recasting of my aligners the final results are getting closer. My daughter has had braces through this place for 3 years now. Their appointments are scheduled so far out that if your kid breaks a bracket it's hard as hell to get her in within a reasonable amount of time. The reason for my rating is due to the fact we had to wait one whole hour past my daughters appointment and since I actually have a job to go to I had to get real frank with the receptionist about how ridiculous it is they were making excuses about the wait. Well these geniuses decided to put notes in her file that were visible to me that stated I used expletives etc. I don't tolerate garbage customer service nor poor excuses for it, so if you don't want an angry parent, don't double or triple book your clients. read more

Never again! Long story short, they gave me retainers that made my teeth worse than they were before I got them. I went in for a consultation and decided to go with retainers just to keep my teeth in place. When I went to pick them up they found that they'd mixed up my retainers with another patient's retainers and sent mine to the Palmdale location by accident. I noticed that the retainers weren't mine based on the mold of the teeth. (Hopefully, they sanitized that person's retainers since they'd handed them to me) Anyways, instead of just having mine sent back to the Lancaster location, they had me travel to the Palmdale location. That was annoying but I went down anyway. I got there and there was a rude customer in line who seemed to be purposefully taking her time to talk to the rude receptionist. They weren't even talking about anything orthodontic related. After waiting for a long time, that customer finally left and I finally got to tell the receptionist I was there to get my retainer. Prior, at the Lancaster location, I was told that an orthodontist would check to make sure the retainers fit properly. Instead, the receptionist practically shoved my retainer with no form of communication. I put them on and they felt fine besides the fact that I couldn't close my teeth together with them in. But being that they didnt examine me, who nows. 2 years later though, I have found that these retainers pushed my teeth out of place further than they had been before! My bite barely even overlaps anymore on the sides. I called them back, told them everything and they told me to come in. They even acted concerned over the phone. I got there, they checked, said that the retainers were supposed to fit the way they do and acted like they couldn't see the VERY obvious gap that THEIR ill modeled retainers gave me between my bottom and top row of teeth. Even looking at my picture on file, they could clearly see the difference but they brushed it off. They then proceeded to tell me that in order to get them fixed/replaced I'd need to pay full price again, except the price has gone up about $100 from when I first got them. I am beyond pissed that they ruined my previous $5,000+ worth of dental work and I feel I should take legal action. Shouldn't they be paying ME back for selling me a product that made things worse? Based on how racist people in Lancaster, ca happen to be, I wouldn't be surprised if I was brushed off my concerns based on them seeing me. There wasn't even one person like me working in that office. The orthodontist who "checked" my "retainers" brushed everything off as if I came into their office for no other reason than to look at their faces lol. Disgusting establishment. The main orthodontists are incredibly rude and stubborn. I will never recommend Snow to anyone. Good luck to everyone else though. Hopefully, you don't get ripped off like I did. read more

They can charge $46 to cancel an appt but won't call you back for your appt on time. We have been waiting 45 min past his appt time to be called back. I came to this office needing a second opinion and I am so glad that I did! My son got his braces approved through insurance quickly-under 2 months- and Dr. Mike started treatment immediately. The office is very clean and comfortable. You can tell all the workers at Snow Orthodontics love their jobs and it shows in their positive attitudes. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS OR YOURSELF to this orthodontist; that is of course unless you happen to prefer unfriendly service, lies, and overpriced braces and services. I have come here for 28 months and even though my original prognosis was 24 months, the doctor has shown no inclination to doing whatever she possibly can to get my braces of any faster. Also, their prices have increased dramatically without even letting the patients know. Before it was 25 dollars for a broken bracket, now it is $37. WHAT?!? At my last experience here i waited for the doctor because my bracket had fallen off (i believe due to the stress from the rubber bands more than what i actually ate). i waited for one hour because he had forgotten to set her alarm -___-. As i am waiting i hear another one of the lovely ladies who check on the patients tell another patient that he will not be getting his bracket replaced today in order to help the gum that has been irritated... this is totally false! they did not put it on because there was no doctor! Regardless, when the doctor finally arrives (an hour late) she doesn't even acknowledge that i waited for her or even that i am alive by greeting me. SHE IS A SELF-RIGHTEOUS, POMPOUS, and condescending person if i met one. If you want your child or your person to be taken care of the right way, or at least taken care of, go somewhere else.
