We had a reservation for a 5:30 p.m. pick up in Snowmass Village on January 1, to take us to Pine Creek Cook House (45 minutes away), where you give your credit card to guarantee $155 p/p, and you are charged that whether you show up by 6:30 p.m. or not. I received an email confirming our transfers to and from Pine Creek from AspenTransportationCo., the new name under which the company is doing business. At 5:30 p.m. (when the car/driver was to have been picking us up), I received a call from their dispatcher stating that they did not have a driver available for us, and that they had called 15 other transportation companies, but there was no one available by that time to drive us to Pine Creek Cook House. Surely they knew this before 5:30 p.m. as the driver would have needed to leave their office by 5:00 p.m. (at least) to get to us by 5:30 p.m. I get that drivers may flake, but the customer needs to be notified asap, not literally at the minute when the driver is supposed to be picking you up, because that really leaves you without any options. The dispatcher said she was notifying us of their inability to provide the driver because they didn't want us to be blindsided when no one showed up (--well, actually, we were completely blindsided because we were provided no notice of the no-show!). I did receive a call later that evening from Shane, the new owner, who apologized for his inability to provide the service he promised. While the apology is appreciated, reliability is what's most important, and it is lacking in this company's service. read more
