I ordered a fruit cup and a green tea, and my coworker also got a fruit cup along with a coffee. The green tea was good, and everything was served quickly. Our waitress was friendly and provided great service. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the café.. there were lots of cool decorations and unique things to look at on the walls that gave the place a fun vibe. Overall, it was a great spot for a quick breakfast before work. I'd definitely recommend stopping by Mystic Café if you're looking for a nice breakfast spot with good service and a welcoming atmosphere!

It's located in downtown Lewiston and one of the nicest buildings in town. From the moment we walked in the door, this place oozed charm. There was a gentleman playing the piano, dressed in old-timey garb. His greeted us with a wide and sincere smile. We walked through several rooms packed with people and decorations and sat in a side room with a bar and near a bright-as-the-sun stained glass window. The lunch and dinner menu was quite expansive, starting with salads and sandwiches and ending with steak and seafood options. I ordered a Caesar salad with smoked salmon and my son ordered the Cuban sandwich. While waiting for our meals to arrive, we toured the other rooms and marveled the eclectic decorations. In the main dining room, there was a large mountain lion preying over the patrons. Each room and wall had different but interesting decor, like they have someone picking out the neatest items and centralizing them here. The food came and unfortunately it wasn't quite up to the standard I now anticipated. The smoked salmon was tasty and plentiful on my salad, but it lacked dressing and enough lettuce to get a good balance. My son's Cuban didn't come on Cuban bread or a pressed bread, but a standard thick baguette, which we both found odd. He said it was too much bread and dwarfed the pork, ham and cheese; quite disappointing. However, the French fries were bountiful and good. Overall, this was a fun place to eat and they likely have some tasty options, but we chose poorly for our maiden visit. Will definitely try this place again if in the area.

Great Lunch Experience @ Meriwether's Bistro in Lewiston, ID. !!…read more We entered the hotel and made our way passed the lobby to this Bistro. We were greeted, directed to seat ourselves, and decided to pick a high top table in the bar area looking out into the patio. The restaurant was clean and inviting with only a couple of other parties present upon arrival at noon on a weekday, but it was soon quite busy. Our bar keep/server Bert was professional, friendly, and good company! We had entertaining conversations with him while he provided great service. Our freshly brewed ice teas were in huge oversized beer mugs, which we loved! The spinach artichoke dip with toasted crostini appetizer was out-of-this-world!! The smoked brisket sandwich and chicken Caesar wrap was mouth-watering delicious and the side of regular and sweet potato fries were perfectly crisp!!! Needless to say, we had a five star experience all the way around.

We had the mango lassi, malai kofta, butter chicken (both entrees come with basmati rice, which was perfect) garlic naan, aloo paratha and samosas! The curry/ gravy of malai kofta and butter chicken was almost the same, both have a tangy tomato lingering taste at the end. Butter chicken needs to have its own distinct smoky buttery flavor, which was missing. The kofta ball was nice. Garlic naan could be more garlicky and crisp. Aloo paratha was evenly stuffed with potato stuffing but contains ginormous amounts of whole coriander seeds. I felt they could be coarsely ground that would be best, taste wise thumbs up. The samosa had crispy covering and moist gooey potato filling served with tamarind chutney, green chutney; loved it! The yoghurt served with the aloo paratha was definitely home made, it had a layer of malai on top! Mango lassi was refreshing in the scorching sun, could be a little less on elaichi.
