key copies are cut too deep. Tired of going back there again ( cut 6 keys so far), two different machines, two different operators and Both cut the new keys .003- .004" too deep. ( you can see and measure the error, it's not a guess) and the keys don't work.) It ain't rocket science to setup and maintain a key machine accurately, -You just have to care enough to do it. read more

they're the absolute best, bottom of my key broke off in a tricky motorcycle ignition, I was already planning on buying a new ignition (along with helmet lock, seat lock, and fuel tank lock) for north of $250 when I thought about letting Snyder's have a shot, they called the next day saying the key fragment had been removed, and the only charged $35, I would have gladly paid twice that, these guys are the pro's pros read more

The Guys were Very professional and fast. i brought three house locks to get keyed to my original key after having doors replaced on my house. The Door guys tossed my old locks and installed new ones without my approval. not wanting to have three different keys for 9 locks i took the new locks in to have them re-keyed to my old key. they did the work on the spot it took about 20 mins and was so reasonable in price. I saved about 60 dollars over having someone come out to do the work. read more

The locksmith, Robert, provided the most helpful, efficient, and friendly service imaginable. I came in with a key that another locksmith quoted nearly $250 to fix, or I would have paid almost $400 to replace. When I came to Snider's, I was not only quoted a fraction of that, but Jason was so helpful in the advice he offered! I am so thankful for the service I received. I was back up and running in less than 10 minutes!!! Thank You Snider's!!! read more

I ended up leaving my keys behind in my car at Bakersfield College and I don't have a spare. I went about the business that i needed to take care of and called different places around town to get a quote on unlocking my car. They were 1 of 2 places in town that answered and I called 5. I talked to a lady and I made sure to ask a lot of question about the price since I only had $50 and it wasn't cash it was on my debit card. She confirmed that the whole service including taxes would cost $45 and that they took card at any location they drove out too. I thought great I don't have to struggle in that sense. She sent someone out and the guy got out to my location in about 30 min and called me once he got there to get to my exact location on campus. Once he got there he got quickly got to work and had my car unlocked in less than 5 min. I then proceeded to ask him the total even though I already knew the total and he tells me it's $55. I said wait a minute the person I spoke too said it wouldn't be more than $45. He proceeds to explain that they charge $45 to get out to your location and an extra $10 dollars to actually unlock your car (aka the service). I told him that I had specifically asked the employee the exact total and they told me $45 and I told him that I only had $50 dollars on me and wasn't spending more than $45. He immediately tells me to call them back instead of doing it himself. I call back and ask to speak to the lady that I spoke with and the guys said ok. He puts me on hold and the the call ends. I make several attempts to call back all while the guy is standing over my car and me waiting for something to happen. They never answered the phone after that. He then gets frustrated and says ok I'll just charge you $45 because he has somewhere else to be anyways. He asks if it's card and I say yes and he goes to get his payment machine from his truck. He messes with it for several minutes only to tell me that it is out of battery. He asks where I'm going after this and he specifies himself and say if I was getting on the freeway and I said yes he asked me which direction and I said west and he told me that the location is right off the the freeway in that direction and if I would follow him to make the payment there. I agree and followed, by this point I wanted to just lose him and go home without paying but I didn't want any bad Karma. I get there before him and last about 15 minutes in that place just to pay $45. They were cheap but the customer service wasn't worth shit! read more

So, I need new keys for my 2002 Ford truck, and my fifth-wheel RV. WalMart doesn't have RV keys. That's pretty standard, you usually have to go to an RV place for that. Ok, do you have a Ford key? It's not a Chrysler, is it? No, it's a Ford. Oh, we only have Chrysler. Quite helpful. So I'm at Camping World, and I show them the key I want copied for the RV. "It doesn't have a number on it. I can't make one." What? Here's the key, make a copy of it. No, their machine makes it by it's ID number. Never mind. Called some locksmith to see about the Ford key. Eighty dollars. Never mind. So, I'm at Snider's bicycle shop, (great bike shop, by the way), and there's a locksmith shop in it. Just out of curiosity, I stroll over and ask if they can copy my RV key. Not a problem, two for six bucks. Well, how about my Truck? It doesn't have a chip in it, I ordered it without a security system. Sure, two more keys. Six bucks. I'm starting to see a pattern here. My lady drives an '05 Saturn. (Thank you for your condolences) The ignition switch goes bad on it right after she bought it, she has to pay $160 for a new switch and two keys. Couple months later, it won't allow you to remove the key after you turn it off. Oh, you can take the key out and leave it running, but not after shutting it off. We've been putting off getting the switch replaced, fighting with it to get the key out every time. So she's at the bike shop with me this morning, asks them if they can make a key for it. Sure, five bucks. And it actually works, comes out when you turn it off and everything. These guys are THE BEST! read more

Got a key made with little fuss. Helpful staff with a smile on their face. Will come back for more keys or bike supplies.

I haven't used them for anything other than getting a key cut, so I don't know about their bike shop, but the lock smiths are excellent. I ordered a switchblade key with an integrated fob from Taiwan for my new mustang. Previously tried all the other common places to get keys cut, all of them turned me down because they had automated machines and it couldn't grip the big fob portion; these guys have old school manual machines for when something won't work with an automated machine. So I went in with my new fancy key, gave the gentleman behind the counter my old key and made me a copy in 5 minutes and it only cost $4. They really know their stuff. Even if your car has a chipped key, you can get a blank with a chip on ebay then these guys can cut it, then you have to figure out how to program it (usually pretty easy, just google the process for your car). This place should have been my first stop, and it will be in the future for all my locksmithing needs. read more
