We engaged Snappy Sitters to care for our two children (age 3 yrs and 5 months) while on a trip to Bend from Seattle. I was slightly nervous about leaving my children (especially the baby) with a sitter who I didn't know, but we really wanted to be able to hike, bike and ski during the day. We hired two sitters on two different days and they were both absolutely wonderful!! Kaja seems to have such a great network of sitters because the minute each sitter walked in I felt at ease and comfortable with them. They were super competent and reliable and thought of fun games with my toddler while also having experience caring for my infant. We've used snappy sitter now twice for family weddings in the Bend area. Both times it was super easy to book, the sitter was awesome, and our kids had a great time. It is very well priced for a service and I would definitely use again! Sitter (her name is Isabella for future reference,) no-showed on our one adult ski day of our trip. We had to forfeit HUNDREDS of dollars for 4 adult lift tickets and a shuttle to and from Sun River that was non-refundable. The company refused to make it right. They refunded our $20 babysitter deposit but we are completely screwed on the shuttle and lift tickets. Horribly unreliable and terrible customer service. I would never use this service again and at the very least just make sure Isabella isn't your assigned sitter. read more

I was desperate to find a sitter at one point so you'd think a service like this would be perfect. They were terrible at responding and I tried going through the site, via Facebook messenger and finally by phone # (calling and texting). I finally heard back days later from the owner (shouldn't they respond the same day or within 24 hours at the very least?). I was told a male babysitter was the only one available and no offense, but no thanks, not for my daughter! I asked if anyone else was available and she never responded. Additionally when she did respond the one and only time, it wasn't very warm. Also she never answers the phone or returns voice messages! For a business that's all about taking care of our kids, you'd expect some warmth to exude from the employees. For a town that's desperate for sitters and nannies, it doesn't seem like this business is desperate for clients. If someone could create a similar business BUT be reliable, responsive, AND have great customer service, I'd support them 100%. Never going to attempt Snappy Sitters or recommend them. It seems this business is hit or miss with some happy customers. I wonder how they pick and choose who to give good customer service to, and who to be rude to LOL. Love this service! I've visited Bend/SunRiver area twice in the last 6 months and used this service both times. I've been impressed with the level of care and attention to detail from both sitters I've used. I have a baby and a 7 year old and never felt nervous about leaving in the care of the nanny's that I booked. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want a night out! read more

Was referred to this sitter service through the resort we stayed at. Scheduled a nanny but never heard back. I finally called to see if I could get through to someone and left a VM. The owner texted me back saying they had no availability for either of the days we needed. When I asked if she knew any other services like hers in town I received no reply. I don't get the bad reviews here. We are not from here and found this service to not only be, yes very snappy but super reliable as well. It's hard to leave your kids with complete strangers, snappy sitter takes the worry out of it and make it easy with online booking. Only giving this service 4 stars because there isn't a lot of info on the payment process. The sitters were fabulous! Just be prepared to encounter a lot of preferred payment methods. If I could leave a zero star I would. Owner emailed me after I requested a sitter, she responded with a question regarding my times to confirm and then a no show. Her response to the no show was " Just like everyone else worldwide we are short staffed." I booked a week in advance for my husband's birthday.. This is not a professional serive at all. Used Snappy Sitters for a couple date nights while visiting Bend. Kaja actually called me because she saw I created an account but hadn't booked yet. Was able to answer my questions and I ended up booking a couple date nights 1 week before we arrived. She paired us with a babysitter right away that was available both nights. Gave us her contact info and some info about her. Jessica our babysitter was fabulous with our toddler, and the littler ones were all asleep. I found Snappy Sitters on Yelp with three five star reviews and decided to try them for a sitter for my daughter the following weekend. I registered online on Tuesday and requested a sitter Thursday afternoon. Since I was looking for a sitter for the next day (Friday), I knew there was a chance they wouldn't be able to fulfill my order and I was okay with that. Worth a try, right? We visit Bend many times a year and I wanted to establish a relationship with a reputable sitting service. Unfortunately, I did not hear back that Thursday, so I called and left a voicemail to follow up. Friday comes and no call back or email reply. Saturday, no reply. It has now been 10 days since my initial request and there has been no response whatsoever. I purposely waited to write this review on the chance there was an emergency with the owner. We travel a lot and use sitting services frequently. I will be contacting Care.com next time we are in Bend for my sitting needs. read more

We booked a sitter for a wedding months in advance. About 24 hours before the event, we were notified that she couldn't make it and no replacements were available. As a business owner, I would think this is where you would step in. We weren't a last minute babysitting request, we'd scheduled a sitter months in advance and were guaranteed someone would be available. The next day we received a generic "I'm sorry" group email. Kind, calm, professional, engaging and asked all the right questions putting us at ease immediately. Our 19mo son, who is shy to strangers right now took to her immediately. She had him in her arms and was reading him a book within 10 minutes of walking through the front door.
