Lower abdominal spay incision. With blue surgical glue. 10/10 great job team!

Dr. Paris did a GREAT job with my rabbit Luna. She was spayed in the neuter scooter at a rabbit clinic in partnership with the SD House Rabbit Society. They SNAP team had a very organized intake and pick up system and made the service significantly more affordable than the other three vets I checked with. SO grateful for the SNAP team. Support their work.

What a great organization. They offer free service for the military. So I was able to get both my pomapoos neutered & spayed for free. Cones came free, & they even did free nail trimmings & shots. But even without the free military discount, their normal prices are all very affordable. Everyone was so professional, and everything went smoothly. My pups are on their 7th day, & healing beautifully. Thank you so much SNAP! Very grateful for all that you guys do.

    The check in/drop off!

Oh SNAP! You guys are awesome. We spent timeless hours searching for affordable neutering options for our 7 month old puppy, Kobe. We received numerous quotes that were way above our budget ($250-$400). I researched SNAP and submitted an application online and was contacted the very next day to schedule Kobe's neutering appointment for just $77! I was floored, absolutely ecstatic. The first available appointment was about a month out, which was understandable because it is an actual "mobile neuter/spay center" with limited space. Communication was great! They kept us posted on our pup's appointment and sent us reminders and additional check information etc. The operation itself seemed to go quite well. We dropped our boy off at 7:30am and picked him up at noon. His recovery was smooth! They do provide after care instructions as well as contact info just in case there are any issues post-operation. They even called the following day to check up on Kobe. They also provide two days worth of pain meds as well as the "cone." If you are looking for an affordable yet very dependable spay/neutering option, this is it! Thanks again for taking such good care of our baby boy!

We had our rabbit Pookie spayed at the Neuter Scooter on Sunday August 4th. They had it parked next to the San Diego House Rabbit Society so it was a familiar location. Our appointment was at 7 AM. They had sent us a confirmation by email. We got there 10 minutes early but they were organized and ready to go. We filled out the paperwork and they checked in the rabbit and set the pick up time for Noon. At noon we got there and they went over the post operative care information and answered all our questions. We also opted to pay $10 extra dollars to have a microchip in case she gets lost, we can hopefully be reunited. Our rabbit was ready right at noon. This is the second day after the surgery and she seems to be recuperating very well. Pet care is very expensive, but this organization makes neutering and spaying very reasonable for people who want to be responsible pet owners but cannot afford the outrageous prices to have their pet fixed at the vets. I was very grateful for this organization. I think the state of CA and the city of San Diego should be actively subsidizing this Organization. Our shelters are bursting at the seams and I was quoted over $600 to get this done at other veterinary clinics. Rabbits are tricky animals to operate on and if your vet is not familiar with them even the wrong anesthesia can kill them. I would have scraped the money together somehow because this is very important for the care of my rabbit, but I don't know how many people with families could have funds for this in these tough economic times. I had been trying to get an appointment for a couple months so I know they need more buses and more vets. They know what their doing and I was relieved she was in safe hands. There's a huge demand. Please get your pet fixed now instead of waiting for the animals to be abandoned at the shelter. Thank you SNAP. This is a wonderful organization. If you can please donate.

I had a great experience with the neuter scooter! It was easy, affordable and overall great service. They really care for the animals. Brittany texted me the next day checking in on Hank and I thought that was very kind. I will definitely be recommending and donating to them!

The vet on staff confirmed this during his checkup and I scheduled his visit for vaccines the next day, we brought him in and all was well until it wasn't. Within hours of that visit he started having severe cluster seizures, one right after the other. While my dog was actively seizing I called the office asking for help. I was told it would require a new problem visit and that I would need to schedule an appointment and pay "like any other client". I asked if I could speak with a veterinarian and was told by the front staff that vaccines do not cause seizures. I rushed my dog to VEG Emergency in Encinitas. The veterinarians there told me that in some cases receiving multiple vaccines in one visit can precipitate seizures in certain dogs. My dog unfortunately continued to struggle with seizures after that. I hate having to say I was driving past All Pets on my way to VEG while he was having breakthrough seizures and ultimately passed in my passenger seat as I held his paw. I never received any follow up from All Pets. No one reached out to ask what happened, check on him, or offer condolences. I just wanted people to know what happened, so they can make an informed decision.

I never felt rushed which was appreciated and he had a very gentle demeanor about him. Unfortunately, our last visit didn't go well. I brought my dog in because his gums had started bleeding the night prior and there was blood in his stool. Dr. Burghardt diagnosed him with ITP, meaning he had low blood platelets, as was confirmed with blood testing that day. I was sent home with him that Friday afternoon with steroids. After reading more about the disease online, I called back later that day with follow up questions, but Dr. Burghardt had already stepped out for the weekend. We ended up taking our dog to the emergency vet later that evening and I'm so glad we did. Upon arrival, they said his platelet level was so low (essentially zero) that he was at risk for spontaneous bleeding - with potential to occur in his brain or lungs - and needed close monitoring and additional immune support. He ultimately died the next day after not responding quickly enough to the steroids and the identification of a tumor on his spleen (the likely culprit sending his immune system into a spiral). I'm mostly disappointed that we were sent home from Companion Pet Care on a Friday afternoon with little information, knowing that they were closed through the weekend. I don't think the severity of this condition was taken seriously enough or relayed to us in an appropriate manner. The office manager did call on Sunday to check in on him, at which time I shared that he had passed. I called back on Monday to see if they had received the ER records and to ask if Dr. Burghardt could call back at some point to summarize what had happened based on the medical records. At that point we were in shock and still confused since everything had happened so fast. We never got a call back or email which was really unfortunate. I would have thought he'd at least want to connect with us once since our dog was his patient and had died over the weekend. Ultimately, no one is to blame here but I don't feel like the situation was handled appropriately. I'm just so thankful we did our research and listened to our gut and brought him to the ER that evening so that he could be kept on fluids and oxygen support until it was his time to go. Apparently, ITP can develop and worsen VERY quickly. Keeping him at home would have been an awful experience and I'm sure the guilt we would have carried would have been unimaginable. More than anything, this is a warning to other pet owners that if you see those signs, please go to the ER immediately. This is not something you want to treat at home. Even if they seem fine in that moment, they could worsen within a matter or hours as our little guy did.

On my last visit I brought Sage in because her regular flea medication had stopped working and she needed a worm pill and an antibiotic since she got infected. The initial estimate was about $800 but I did not do the tests they wanted so I paid a little less. Fast forward to this morning when my Chewy Autoship informed me that "Your veterinary clinic, Santa Fe Animal Clinic - CA, has opted not to support online prescription approvals through Chewy". So on the day before Thanksgiving I now have one additional errand of running to their office, picking up the prescription and mailing it in. To make things worse, they are holding my cat Pepper Jack's flea prescription hostage because he is healthy and has not seen the vet recently. I feel like they are using the prescriptions as leverage to force people to make unnecessary appointments and that they know some people will just pay for the flea medication when they arrive at the clinic out of convenience. I will not support a business that resort to withholding medications for my pets to get more of my money. I declined to schedule an appointment and am picking a new vet that cares for my fur babies.
