Yikes! A lot changed since last time I was here…read more When you walk through the front door, you'll swear you're on the set of "Hoarders." There is stuff everywhere. You can barely make in through the aisles. I'm not sure what is available in the front room - if there isn't a giant stuffed animal blocking your view, there are boxes in the way. You want to see the jewelry in the front case. You can't. Too much junk in the way. If you make your way into the front side room, it is pretty tidy in there. That's where you'll find clothes, books, and puzzles. I checked the price of a paperback book - $2. Puzzles were between $2 and $5 (some new). If you make your way to the back room there is kitchenware and kids' toys. A used cheese grater that was originally $9 was marked $5. Too much for this cheapo. A vintage looking electrical appliance was $75. I don't know what is was, but that seems way too pricey for any small kitchen appliance. I was interested in some of the china, but it was packed in too tight with coffee cups ($2) dangling from hooks in front of them. Removing a plate would be like playing Jenga with glass blocks. They need to have a sale and get rid of some of the junk that is just in the way. People can't buy things if they can't see them. Do like other thrift stores and figure out a way to identify how long something has been on the store floor, and then automatically drop the price after a month or whatever. I know you want to make as much as you can for the charity, but if people can't see what you're selling, they won't buy it. If you price it too high for your clientele, it won't sell either. You can't raise money for the charity by just hoarding stuff! I do want to point out that the women who work here are very nice!

Came in after 4 on a Sunday and the proprietress was helping someone. Got no acknowledgement…read morestarted looking around. Everything seemed over priced but there was a 300 color tag system that indicated what percent off the item was that even the most cunning mathematical minds would struggle to decipher. At that point the woman running the shop was on the phone, behind her hoarders pile of crap at the front counter. At that point I waited 5-10 minutes for her to get off the phone or acknowledge me. I was interested in three things that weren't priced. After no acknoledgement again I walked around and looked at the worst collection of records I have ever seen for sale. 10-15 more minutes of waiting for her to get off the phone and I had enough... you might find something worth getting her but it is worth the hassle ? The whole time I was here I was worried that a pile of something was going to fall on me, the place is set up like they are going to shoot a hoarders episode here.

This is the best spot around for those who appreciate quality but may be on a budget!…read more I am a first-time homeowner & furnished MUCH of my new home here. The glassware, dinnerware & cookware selection is fantastic. You just can't beat the quality or the timeless beauty of the older stuff! I got a dining room table & chairs here in mid-century teak & get compliments on it constantly. My dinnerware is Noritake china & is BEAUTIFUL. The owner is very kind & eager to help you locate just the treasure you seek. The prices are extremely reasonable & specials are always in the making. You will not regret the trip. It's fun poking around, more fun to find the perfect thing & terrific knowing some of the proceeds go to help worthy causes! Enjoy the afternoon...
