When they changed the plugs they didn't change the rubber gaskets which is a must do on this engine you risk engine damage they put a generic oil filter on which is a huge no no they left screw out of my air filter box a rag in the engine bay and plastic fasteners that they broke they didn't replace so things werent put back properly they didn't evidently properly torque their reassembly of the plenum. Gasket cover or left something loose because now I have vacuum issues in a car that ran perfectly before I took it to them the owner said he and his daughter worked on the car she's not a certified mechanic so if you have a car that needs factory spec service, don't let their friendl demeanor fool you look under the hood check their work this has cost me a lot of money to fix they didn't seem concerned at all just sorry your not satisfied have a great day. Avoid this place if you want the job done right. They also rotated my tires with out a wheel alignment. I paid them almost 1000 dollars for their unprofessional work .

I got a routine oil change no prior problems all of a sudden I started getting oil pressure problems, car stayed in shop more than three weeks. I got a tire rotation and balancing, out of four matched tires from time kingdom all of a sudden I have three matched and one not matched and bald. Additionally I took my car in for a leak of anti freeze from a tube, the correct fluid was not replaced (green instead of red or pink fluid). I could go on and on about problems and concerns but this is enough to start. If you audit their customers you will find the same complaints, you even hear her arguing with customers on the phone about they had problems with the car prior to repairs this is ongoing. They do fix problems but they cause other problems by exchanging parts from other cars. Oh yeah! after a wheel aliment and balance now I need ball bearings. They NEED to be investigated, they are crooks. One other major concern if you take your car in for repairs and you are having NO problems with your air how is it that now the center vent is not working. She has an excuse for everything. I've never left a bad review in my life. Palm City Auto did me wrong and I need to say something…read moreinstead of keeping it unheard. I had taken my older car for a rubbing noise in my tire. They said the wheel bearings and both tie rods needed to be replaced. I also signed up for the top tier $125 auto detail (more on that later). I agreed to replace the wheel bearings and both tie rods and wheel alignment. Paid a good sum of money for this repair. Within nine months my front passenger tire was completely bald and close to blowing out. Took it to Tire Kingdom to get a new tire and alignment. They couldn't do the alignment because the tie rods were shot. Both sides. So why didn't the repair I had paid for last? Going back in time to the visit to PC Auto: They were supposed to detail my car the day of the repair. They weren't able to do the exterior work (waxing, etc) because there was a very bad storm. Which ok, that was fine, no big deal. When I got into my car to leave, I noticed that the interior detail was extremely deficient. Granted, it was super dirty. I'm a single mom of a very special-needs child, the last thing I have time for is cleaning my car. So I paid for the top detail package. For instance, just using the steering wheel as the point I'm choosing to use as an example, rather than listing all the interior areas neglected, but the steering wheel hadn't been touched and was still so dirty that I took a napkin and rubbed water on a spot, leaving a clear circle showing it wasn't cleaned (that was just one area. I wish I could share the picture I took. It wasn't just a little difference, it was way blatant). I went back inside to let them know they didn't touch a lot of the interior (even the inside of the windows). They did a good job vacuuming and shampooing the carpets though! The owner (I understand there's two owners, a front store owner and a back store owner?) The back store owner ( I don't know if I'm phrasing that correctly) looked at it, annoyed with me, said "well you only paid for the basic." "No, I paid for the top one! And even the basic would clean the windows and steering wheel and door panel. Look, I can rub it off with water!" So they said they would finish it when I brought the car back to complete the exterior when the weather was better. I took my car back within a few days of the repair to finish the detail and also because I still heard the original noise that replacing the wheel bearings and tie rod was supposed to fix. The sound didn't happen when I rode with the mechanic, so they never identified it, but apparently it wasn't the wheel bearings and tie rod that I was told was the problem. (have since found out it was the brake backing plate, simple bending it solved the sound). So that day (I was very nice about this too!) they washed their hands of me. They refunded my money for the auto detail. I figured, okay, they gave my money back, I got a partial detail... I'll let it go and move on. But when I found out that the repair I paid good money for didn't last (what, six months tops?) and I had to get all new tie rods and an alignment all over again, and a new tire (!), realizing I wasted a lot of my hard-earned money on them and had to go through this repair all over again, and pay for it again, I'm pissed and not keeping quiet about it anymore. Palm City Auto did me wrong. Even though I was super nice about the whole thing, they washed their hands of me, and then I find out that it was all for nothing. Not cool.

My first encounter with AMO: I brought my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokeee with 127k miles on it to AMO…read morefor engine diagnostics on 1/28 and it was ready on 2/7. This engine has been exceptional, with only regular maintenance required. It had begun to die while I was driving it a couple of months ago, and had become progressively worse. After a sensor replacement by my trusted mechanic was to no avail I had the jeep, now unreliable for the first time in 28 years, having died four times in the last mile I drove it, dying again as I pulled into my driveway, towed to AMO because of the stellar reviews they have received here on Yelp, in what turned out to be the right move. What may seem an inordinate amount of time for a diagnosis, and I certainly thought it was, until I learned from Josh, that the diagnostician, I assume Adam, had been out sick, believe that or not, and I do...Adam solved the issue when he returned. It was NOT an easy diagnosis...I had taken it to my regular mechanic, twice, they could not determine the cause. I do admit that I became frustrated with the amount of time it was taking for AMO to diagnose, it is my only ride, and I told a very polite woman that answered the phone just that. I received a call back shortly from Josh explaining the situation. The eventual diagnosis? The ECM, the engine's brain, was faulty and needed replacing...and the part was expensive. I approved the repair and my old Jeep was up and running...ready to go on 2/7...back to its old self. Okay, here is my assessment, simply, these guys are great! Once they were able to look at it, it was diagnosed and repaired in short order. The difference between the price Josh had quoted me and what they charged was about 500 bucks! Oh yeah, it was in my favor!! WHO DOES THAT? They gave me a price, I approved it, and the invoice was $500 cheaper. Did I say these guys are great?! My dad bought this new in 1997, he died in 2005, and I have been driving it ever since. Now 70, this by far the best vehicle I have owned, she's not much to look at, and some features don't work, but she starts and runs beautifully. At age 30 she qualifies for "Antique" plates in Florida, thanks to AMO, I have no doubts she will now make it! If you read this far, take your vehicle to AMO now, you will not be disappointed!

Had a price from Firestone and wanted another option…read more Firestone was fine for new tires in an emergency but seemed eager to also sell brakes as an urgent need. Did some research and found All County. They confirmed that I needed brakes but it would be ok to wait to schedule at my convenience in the near future. They did the job, were courteous and checked the car over to be sure it was good to go for a trip I'm planning. Total bill was $100 less than Firestone.
