This company's employees does not have a single clue on what their doing! After 2 weeks I'm just now getting my apartment sink unclogged! FIRST a Caucasian man came to my residence I asked him if he had shoe protection coverings, he said no and walked off while saying with an attitude "they can send someone else out"! Ok next an hour later 2 Mexicans came out to my residence with blue shoe coverings on they were cool, friendly BUT CLUELESS on to snake my sink they wanted to go to the apartment #30 above me, well fast forward 2 weeks later after my neighbor not responding to the real estate company's & snake & rooter emails, text messages, or phone calls & MAINTAINCE NOT HAVING A KEY they finally get in TODAY 8/13/2024 well funny thing is the new technician from snake & rooter said he doesn't have to go through apartment #30 above their not having any issues he will have to come in mine! He removes his shoes and spends about 2-3 hours snaking my sink he tells me he's all done & disappears! This could have been resolved and completed 13 days ago vs giving me the run around, not having shoe protection in your company work vehicles when you all enter peoples homes for a living 24/7/365 this is common sense, and your 2 technicians not knowing what their doing! We didn't give any stars on this review due to the fact that their service wasn't even good enough to rate one star. We called the company to have a kitchen drain unclogged. The tech was unable to preform the task, of which he ended up calling his supervisor, who had the same exact machine as the first tech, the second person was the supervisor who completed the task. The first tech left my house with sewage on the wood in the base of my cabinet, as well as all over my dish washer, my stove, and all cabinet faces in between. Nasty sewage had to be disinfected off of my stove dish washer and all cabinets as well as the kitchen floor. Totally unprofessional job even to the point that my outside cameras caught the first tech cussing me out to his supervisor over the phone, of which I heard the entire conversation. We are so happy with our experience working with Snake 'n' Rooter Plumbing Company. They were very responsive to messages and answered all of my questions, including giving me an hourly quote prior to coming out. They didn't ask me to call them for the quote, all communication was via messaging which I loved. Once Bryan showed up he worked hard to replace my shower handles but we discovered that the shower parts were so old we would have to replace the valve, handles, and showerhead. Since Bryan was already familiar with what needed to be done, he agreed to come back out after I purchased the new parts and install everything. The shower works great and the new hardware looks amazing. An all-around excellent experience and I highly recommend them. read more

And I found all those things -and more- from a company called SNAKE & ROOTER. Don't forget that name: Snake & Rooter. They were surprisingly able to provide our huge problem with SAME DAY SERVICE. Typical plumbing companies force you to wait 2-3 days but my situation was quickly assessed on the phone by Debbie (whose voice was more like an angel than a receptionist) and we were immediately put on their priority list.  To my shock, their well-trained serviceman, Daniel, was driving into my driveway just 4 hours later!  He analyzed the situation then quickly put a plan of action into motion.  Within 45 minutes, my problem was no longer a problem! Now here's where most companies stop. They'd shake hands and leave.  Not SNAKE & ROOTER! ...Daniel asked if there was anything else that needed attention while he was there.  Well, as a matter of fact, YES!  And within several more minutes, that too was completely taken care of, all under the same 'service call' price.  Wow!  Ya just don't see service like that these days... without putting up a fuss, he did it with a pleasant, genuine smile. I know it's unusual for me to get all excited about anything which isn't food. With that said, as far as I'm concerned, if you're needing any plumbing needs, you need not look any farther than Snake n Rooter. I've had to call on Snake n Rooter for their services a few times over the past few years. The first time I used them was because I had a coupon, and I don't even remember what the coupon was for. I do remember, however, WHEN I called them. It was a Saturday afternoon and I had some unsavory business going on in my basement. Being that it was a Saturday afternoon, I was expecting to get raped (and not kissed!) with weekend rates, or I figured I'd have to put up with the unsavoryness (is that even a word??) until the following week. Well, the first thing that impressed me about Snake n Rooter was the fact A REAL PERSON ANSWERED THE PHONE ON THE WEEKEND!! AND THERE WAS NO AUTOMATED, PRESS THIS BUTTON, SAY THIS THING NONSENSE!! It's been a love affair ever since. So, a real person answered the phone, she was extremely pleasant and let me know she could have someone out to my home the same day and, wait for it, WITHIN THE HOUR!!! True to her word, a very polite and very clean gentleman showed up not long after I got off the phone. Not only did he take care of the basement issue, but he gave me a suggestion of what to do to prevent that situation from happening again. And for the coupe de grace, the charge was extremely reasonable AND there was no extra charge for the weekend appearance. I was sold! Most recently, I had to use their services again today, this time for a clogged tub. Once again, a very nice young lady answered the phone (on a Saturday!) and let me know she'd have someone out as soon as she could. After maybe an hour, the plumber was here and had the issue taken care of in about 20 minutes. And once again, the plumber provided some insight on what could be done to help prevent the issue in the future. In short, not only is Snake n Rooter fast, reliable and reasonable, but they don't look to rip you off either. They will provide cost estimates over the phone, but remember, it's an ESTIMATE. to that end, the estimates, at least in my experience, have been pretty spot on. I have been using Snake 'N Rooter for about 10 years. We have a tree in our front yard that loves to grow into our sewer line, and about every 18 months, we have to have the drain augered. They do everything they can to complete the job in a timely fashion, clean up the mess, and are very pleasant as well. 24 hour service, even on holidays at the same base rate. First time I called them was on Thanksgiving Day, and they had the drain cleaned in under an hour. Great business - highly recommended! read more

I really am upset to give this review. I have used Snake n' Rooter on multiple occasions with great service. Two days before Thanksgiving we called for service as we live in an area with many roots. Low and behold we had a pipe that had collapsed under our basement floor. They don't tell you what pricing will be ... just "minimum is three grand. Could be more". Charged us for a service call on first night but told us the check would be ripped up once we completed service ( the three plus grand ) the next day. Never happened. Cashed both checks. Super shady and don't try and call in as the grinch who answers the phone won't let you talk to supervisor. Get your estimates detailed and not just as an amount. read more

I had a really positive experience with Snake'n'Rooter. I had started replacing the cartridge on a leaky mixer valve in our upstairs bathroom on a Saturday afternoon and couldn't get it disassembled. I asked for quotes through Yelp on a Sunday afternoon and Ryan gave me a prompt reply and hourly quote. I decided to go with Snake'n'Rooter and had a phone call (as promised) the next morning to let me know the tech would be at my house by 9:30. The technician was very professional, answered my questions, had the repair finished in under an hour and we haven't had a problem since then. I called with an emergency service request at 3am for a toilet I could not unclog. It's the only toilet in the apartment and we were desperate to get it working. The technician was initially friendly, but then asked if it couldn't wait until the morning. When I said no, he openly questioned how it was that we only realized we had a problem at 3am. I won't even dignify that with an explanation. I told him that if he didn't want to do the job he should say so, such that I could find someone else. He said ok and hung up the phone. I have no idea whether he is an owner or an employee, and judging from the other reviews I'd like to think this is an exception rather than the rule for this business. I'd been quoted a price nearing twenty grand by a well-known national brand; and I'm so thankful I exercised my right to halt that non-emergency contract. The gentlemen representing Snake-and-Rooter constantly communicated what they did see--as well as what they did NOT see--and then proceeded to clear the blockage. Not only that, they removed the line that the preceding company had left stuck in my bathroom sink pipe, and reassembled the plumbing there, too! So thankful for a company like this. When my 81 year old mother did not receive her discount the customer service representative, Linda, actually laughed and hung up on me when I called to inquire about my mother's discount. The took four and a half hours to install a kitchen faucet, remove a garbage disposal and ream a couple of drains. I think they cheated her by extending the time needed for the repair and not giving the discount advertised. Don't use this company because they will cheat you and have a good laugh about it. read more

We would like to say thank you to the Snake'n'Rooter team of Melissa, Jonathan, Ralph, & any other team members that assisted. The quality of customer service we received was outstanding. We hired another company to come into our rental property to camera & auger the sewer line. Being that we live out of state we had to trust this company to help us in our time of need. A big credit card charge, 1-yr warranty, & 3 days after the repairs were completed, the line was blocked . . . again. The other company told us we would need to spend another $11,500.00 to fix the problem. They left us with no other options. We called Snake'n'Rooter for a second opinion & quote for the repairs. It started with Melissa jumping right on the issue and getting Jonathan looped in to our current problem. Then Jonathan & Ralph heading right out to the house to investigate. Not only did they give us a more than competitive & fair quote but they went above and beyond by spending 3-4 hours out the house not only investigating the issue & looking at solutions but they did not leave the property until they were able to clear the blockage & get the line open so that the sewer was functional. This was great news to us as the family staying at our rental property is our parents. They worked for hours on our home and did not bill us for their services and repeatedly refused to take any compensation for their services. They stated they felt we had been taken advantage enough. Moving forward, Snake'n'Rooter will be receiving all of our business and we will be recommending them to all family, friends, neighbors, and strangers in the KC metro. They have the technology and staff to handle everything from a clogged drain to a cracked sewer line. Of course there are rare times when they are called back to a job that didn't seem to be done just right but what business has a PERFECT record? They do stand behind their work and will get it taken care of. Their staff is friendly and professional whether it is the people answering the phones or the technicians. The technicians bring mats to put down in the area they are working so you never have to worry about cleaning up after them. By far the worst experience ever with any company ever. I had a simple problem the cold water handle in my shower was stripped out where I had to use vice grips to turn it on. They sent a tech on Wednesday to fix it cut a hole in the wall and said you need new valves. He put a new handle on and said it will work until I come back on Friday morning at 930 with the new valve and whatnot. Friday morning comes and they are a no show and call and reschedule for Friday 430. Again they are a no show this time the manager (Edward) calls and promises me the world (new toilet new faucets whatever I wanted to make it right) says he will personally come by Sunday morning to do the job himself. Sunday morning I call because again nobody shows up. The dispatcher informs me the tech is getting parts and that they are on their way. When 1230 rolls around I call back and ask what is going on again she (Linda) says the tech is getting parts. When I continually ask to speak to a supervisor she hangs up on me. So I call back and again she hangs up on me and this goes on 27 times. All she did was pick up and hang up not even knowing if it's was actually me calling. So I had my girlfriend call and she did the same to her another 25 times. The job finally got done Monday evening at 630. The tech that came (Daniel) was professional but the rest of the company is a complete joke. read more

Over a month ago we had Snake'n'Rooter come out and fix the clogged toilet in my 83 year old mother's bathroom. Their rep said we needed to "increase the water flush capacity" in her toilet, which he could do same day. I asked the specific question, "Are you sure it has nothing to do with the DESIGN of this toilet?" and he said, "NO! Once we increase the flush capacity, you will be fine. You won't have this problem any more!" $365 bill to my 83 year old mother. 4 days later, the toilet clogged again, we called Snake'N'Rooter again, they sent another rep out who said, "you need to buy a high capacity toilet, the design of this toilet won't handle your mother's needs." The high capacity toilet is about $350.00! I called Snake'n'Rooter to complain, they said they would get back to me...it has been over a month and no one has ever called us back and no refund check has ever been sent. Had I not specifically asked the question about the design of the toilet, I would not be so incensed! But since I DID specifically ask that question, and was told it was NOT THE DESIGN of the toilet by the first rep, we went ahead and paid to have the flush capacity increased. I will never use this company again and will NEVER recommend them to a friend, mostly because of the poor follow-up and response from management. They should have immediately called me or my Mom back and settled this. Extremely POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE as far as I am concerned. Taking advantage of an 83 year old woman is crooked business. I have used Snake n rooter several years ago to snake my main line. It was a good experience. I called them again last November to do the same. They arrived quickly and finished quickly. They offered to come back and run a camera down the main to see if there are cracked pipes. This service was included with the service they did so I agreed. They came back on Friday 11/15/2013 ran a camera down the main and found a cracked pipe. They provided a repair estimate and then left. 2 days later I went to the basement to do laundry only to find that Mike the rep that was out on 2 days earlier did not properly reinstall the main cleanout cap. I had sewer water in two rooms in my basement. I called them and they sent a guy to reinstall the cap. he wiped up the mess and cut a large chunk of carpet padding. I had a small section of carpet that was completely ruined. After making 4 calls and leaving a message with the dispatcher lady Mike called me then came out to see the damage. We agreed that the company would pay me $200.00 for the damaged carpet. Mike said he will get a check sent out in a week. That was 3 months ago and still no check. I have reminded Mike 2 times since and he always has an excuse. My recommendation is that Snake n rooter is not an ethical company. Don't let them into your house. read more
