MY LIFE!!!!!! Drove…read morepast the newly "rejuvenated and revitalized" course the other day, and all that was going through my head was..."Why?" I was like...they've just gone and completely ruined it". Read that what had been done so far was only part 1, ( high hopes that part 2 was the animals, the Hippo in particular, getting put back in their rightful and honorable places...) NUP! Part 2 is going to be a food cart. So to the owners..Was it too hard to just replace the astro turf?; fix and repaint the animals, the mushrooms, and the buildings?; plant new plants?; put up a roof? Yeah the place was showing it's age, but revitalizing something, doesnt always mean that what your revitalizing has to be completely replaced. I haven't played it, I don't want to play it, and neither has my partner, because we both think that what you have replaced the old courses with, is nothing but rubbish. You've gone ruined what were 2 already awesome courses, and the animals just added to it. ( no other course in New Zealand, had a Gorilla standing over a cave on the 18th hole ). #Disappointed R.I.P Hippo, Gorilla, Giraffe, Zebra, T.Rex, and Brontosaurus. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!!

When my sister and I arrived at Enchanted Forest Mini Golf a few weekends ago, we were wowed! From…read morethe range of holes and facilities, to the friendly owner who was very helpful and chatted to all of his customers. This was really great considering I haven't received this kind of service at other mini golf places around Auckland. We really enjoyed the variety of holes. Sounds weird I know but Enchanted Forest Mini Golf seriously has two of the coolest holes we have ever seen! The first one you have to hit your golf ball through chains - it sounds harder than you think! The second hole was unique for sure. The hole is completely surrounded by netting. The aim is to hit your ball as hard as you can (it sits on a raised platform), and if possible, hit the bullseye up top, ultimately to get a 'hole in one'. Again, it is harder than you think, but it is loads of fun! Plus, all the kids around us really enjoyed it! Another highlight is that the space around the mini golf course is very large! There is a shop where you purchase your tickets and other things like cold drinks and ice creams. There are also plenty of tables and chairs, plus you can use their BBQ's located onsite (free to use if you play one round of mini golf). This would be perfect for a birthday party or family gathering. An added bonus is that there is a Countdown right next door - easy to stock up on food beforehand! I guess the only negative would be that it is a little rough around the edges but it definitely feels like you're in a forest (or bush!). Interesting fact - the space used to be a park, and instead of removing everything, they have kept all the original trees and plants which is nice to see - we even saw a Kauri tree! Overall, Enchanted Forest Mini Golf is the best I have tried in Auckland so far. The added bonuses (unique 'net' hole, BBQ's, supermarket next door and location) really make this mini golf worth going to, not just to play a few games, but also to get a group of family and friends along and have a BBQ lunch or dinner afterwards!

With 18 international length holes and a course designed and built by a golfer - for golfers, we provide a genuine challenge and fun for all ages. We are focused on the children's fun, but with one eye on the "big kid's" entertainment too. With a selection of piped music around the grounds, native birdsong and park atmosphere the Enchanted Forest is relaxing and fun for the grown-ups too, with charm, character and a beautiful setting. If you think you know this course, then think again! We have some exciting changes underway, with a huge tidy up and re-planting programme, the roll out of a course make-over and a coffee bar on the way. With free use of our picnic tables and BBQ's, our aim is to ensure that everyone has a fun and a relaxing day Enchanted Forest style - for a great price.

Staff and bartenders were super friendly, and consistently walked around making sure the place was clean. Drink prices were good, but the cost to golf was a little steep. I liked how they incorporated pinball, planko, pool, and ball maze into the games, instead of just got traditional putt putt course. And the directions before each hole was cool. Holes are short, so you'll knock out 18 in about 40 minutes.

Some of the holes were fun and tricky yet some were boring and ended with the same outcome for every player. I think playing 18 holes would be repetitive by the end. The music was good and staff was friendly, so we were able to make our own fun out of it but the facilities were not all that impressive. One of the machines for one of the holes was broken as well which was disappointing, it stole our balls and happened for multiple groups in front of us as well. Cheap drinks were good though.

It's impossible for me to leave the store without making a purchase (well I guess I go here with that intention from the beginning). The super discounted bargain bins near the entrance of the store are usually pretty sweet if you can find something. This place exists for all your golfing needs. They have these cool indoor driving ranges at the back of the store where you can test out the equipment before buying it. Parking is easy as there is lots of free parking on site and navigating the grounds is also a cinch because of the walking track. I have never let my dog off the leash here it just doesn't feel right for some reason? I am unsure what the official rules are regarding dogs but it's better to be safe. The TSB Wallace Arts Centre also makes this place extra special standing majestically in the middle of the grounds. The park spreads out from this high point , curving away down to the road on one side, the school on the other, and looking out over the Manukau Harbor on the far right. The park has the biggest collection of Northern Hemisphere trees in New Zealand - and they are certainly big themselves. When I play disc golf here, I usually have to dedicate at least half an hour to climbing trees to retrieve discs- provided, of course, they aren't at the very top of an old oak tree. There is a course available at : http://www.discgolf.co.nz/monteCourseDescription.htm, but the map can be a bit confusing - so it's worth contacting the contact available on that page to get shown around. Afterwards you can stop off for a coffee in the cafe, or head to Cameron Pools for a nice dip.
