Oooh! I can't wait for my niece and nephew to get a teeny bit bigger so I can bring them here!! *bounces off all excited by lego!!* ...The only bad thing is the price. I peeked at the black pearl pirate ship from the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' section...£85! Out of the major supermarkets ASDA is far and away my favourite. Their superstores are packed full…read moreof goodies. They have the clothing label George, toys, CD's and loads of household goods. The range of food is excellent and the least costly of all the major stores. On site they have a pharmacy, optician, photo centre and a petrol station. They are also open 24hrs on a Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri which means avoiding busy shopping hours. This is a great superstore and the only one I will do a big food shop at.

There has been a undertone of unfriendliness on the majority of my visits, but today was awful - within 30 seconds, I was told to make sure my five year old didn't touch anything, which a) I've addressed as a parent oh, for like as long as he could walk b) is obnoxious given IT'S A TOY STORE and c) was mentioned the moment we walked in the door. Without this incident, I have reasons to not love this shop - it tends to carry large ranges of the same thing (I.e. Lego, wooden trains) and I found there were gaps in the selection, particularly for toddlers. It also charges fairly premium prices - I once got a simple origami set and a card for a 4 year old girl and it was close to £20. So, it costs the earth and doesn't appear to welcome kids - hardly a winning option.

Its a pretty standard newsagents, although the floors are a little old as they are cracking up. It sells the standard things that you would expect from a newsagents as well as the odd toy or stationary equipment. There is also a small selection of cards.
