While the owner is very good at what he does and very likable I have to give this place only 3 stars. Why?... That is not a shave. Anyone that's experienced a barber's shave with a straight blade, hot foam, and moist hot towels knows what a simple pleasure it is. I came here seeking that since the service was listed as a "shave" and a hot towel service was also mentioned online. I'd been laid up after some surgery, had a bit of undergrowth, and wanted to psych myself up to go back into the world "human" again. What I got instead is a well performed complete prune to the skin using trimmers and electric razor. No hot towel. No hot lather. No blade. Not that simple pleasure sought. One Trick Pony? Using only electric razor and trimmers, the haircut also took me back to the days when my dad would cut my hair. He would hold the highchair and I'd climb up and sit on the plank that rested atop its upper arms/back rail. My dad had one style of cutting my hair. Well, 2 when I nodded off in the middle and wound up with a total buzz cut. The style here seems to be variations on high and tight: pompadour, buzz and drop fade, Marine, skin fade, etc..
