Secondly, I wanted to buy a very short hair style, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long - similar to what actor William Shatner uses. Lolly confirmed she knew the style of William Shatner's hair. I even showed her a box of 4 older hairpieces I used to wear that were all too small and did not blend into my thin hair on the sides. She charged me $1,012 for the hairpiece. As she was creating my head mold, I was unable to see myself in the mirror, so I asked her, "Is this going to come down lower on the sides?" She answered that I should have confidence in her because she has some customers that drive or fly hundreds of miles just to see her. Three months later, the new hairpiece arrived. It was NOT a full hairpiece that could cover the sides of my head! It was the same exact small oval size as all my other older hairpieces that are all too small. She insisted that she style it for awhile. An hour later, I had short hair on he top like I wanted, but there just wasn't enough hair on my own head on the sides to blend in the hairpiece effectively. She told me my own hair was too short and that I should let my hair grow longer. When I came back about 4 weeks later (my hair grows slow) she tried styling it again. But my hair style looked like a "minnie Mullet" being longer on the sides, and short and spikey on the top. I hated it. But now, the 30-day "Satisfaction Guaranteed" clause of my buyer's contract was expired. She denied that I ever told her I wanted a larger hairpiece that would cover my whole head. She became tense and argumentative when I told her that I did not receive what I had requested and paid for. No apology or refund was offered, however. This hairpiece is no different than the old ones I already had- except that I paid $1,012 instead of the usual $125 I pay for Chinese made hairpieces of the same small size, content and style. WARNING: My advice to anyone getting a hairpiece from Lolly: Get every word WRITTEN DOWN ON PAPER! Otherwise, you will later be made out to look like a fool or a liar. After 30 years, this is the only bad deal I every got from a hair replacement technician.

The nurses who were involved in my procedures were not focused. I went to one of the top surgeons in the world located in Sofia, Bulgaria Dr. Zarev for a consultation. Arguably one of the best surgeons in the world when dealing with high Norwood cases. The grafts placed in my hairline didn't look natural at all. A lot of gaps, no single grafts along the hairline, and very pluggy appearance, and large punch sizes, a lot of see through due to the grafts not being placed in an angle. Dr. Zarev told me I would be a repair case. A surgeons job to over see and Dr. Canales failed at that. In my follow ups with Dr. Canales it just seemed like he didn't care about my concerns. My growth in the crown from the transplant never grew and he kept saying they will grow and that was 2 year follow up. I have learned a lot about hair transplants in the last few years and have learned from my mistakes in terms of choosing a surgeon. Thankfully even after my botched hair transplants I have 8,800 grafts left for a lifetime with Dr. Zarev the surgeon I consulted with due to higher level of donor management and tools. This clinic is amateur in comparison to other clinics abroad and technology is behind. Do your research! Go on the hair transplant network forum and research these Dr's. The results are sub par they don't look natural and the thing with hair transplants you want them to look like nothing ever happened. And don't be fooled by Dr. Canales in studio cameras. The lighting favors the results, but when you look in close view or sunlight the results are not there. Yes you will never get your original density as you once did. But there are clinics that will mitigate the see through effect on transplants. Nurses should not be implanting grafts it should be the surgeon! They should only sort the grafts into single, doubles, and triples. The surgeon at the end should implant them. Hope this helps. A hair transplant is a really personal thing and important if you don't have a surgeon who is involved and cares they can ruin your donor.

I arrived for the appointment about five minutes early and checked in with the receptionist. Rhea, who I had the appointment with was within an earshot as her chair is only a few feet away. Rhea said she didn't have any appointments and I must have been mistaken. The receptionist checked the book and confirmed that I had an appointment. Rhea was in the middle of coloring/dying a hairpiece on a mannequin head, very sloppily from what I could see. She said she would be with me when she was done, so I sat down and waited and waited. While she was doing the coloring, lunch arrived for her. She told me she would eat her lunch and she would with me shortly. I expressed that we were already 15 minutes into my time and now she was going to eat?! So she agrees and has me sit in her chair while she eats. The extension area if the salon on the other side is super busy. Rhea starts off by asking me why I'm there. If you could see my hair, you would know while I was there. It is very thin at the top and this is a wig/extension/hair loss salon. I had come in for a consultation and I wanted advice. I thought I had come to a place that was professional. She said I should consider a topper not a wig. I didn't know what a topper was and ask to see one. She didn't have anything that was near to my color so she put a blonde streaked topper on my auburn brown hair. It looked ridiculous as the color was so off and the density of the hair was so thick compared to my crown. Another customer comes in with a hairpiece she needs styled or colored. Rhea stops my appointment to attend to her while I wait again. Rhea showed me a product that was a powder filler you put in your hair to fill in thinning spots. It was a good match for my color so I said I would buy it. The sample she used was the only one she had left, and she sold it to me as a full sized product even though it had been open and used. I was charged $30 for an opened sample. I later found this elsewhere for $25. I wasn't very satisfied with a sample hairpiece she showed me as it didn't match either in color or in its density. I left feeling very frustrated by the attitude and unprofessionalism of this salon owner, regarding the appointment time, delayed start due to he engagement when I arrived, eating during service, and taking another customer in the middle of my consultation. This was quite a while ago, yet the experience was so bad that I haven't forgotten it. I saw an ad in Diablo magazine which prompted me to finally write a review. Responding to owner's response: Glad to hear you no longer do consultations leaving that to your staff. My consultation with you was on 10/22/21 at 1:30pm. As I said in my review, it was quite a while ago but not forgotten as it was so memorable. Losing hair is traumatic no matter the cause and being treated without respect or compassion by a hair salon geared towards wigs, extensions, toppers, etc is inexcusable. I told my regular stylist at Salon 9 this story and she was angry about my experience at Celebration. I would not subject myself to a return visit.
