Joe gave me back the look I had been missing. I had gotten into the routine of trying everything. My restroom stayed a mess from all the hair fibers I was using just to hold on to a look that was disappearing. As my hairline continued to recede, I kept trying to find ways to cover it up. My first consultation with Joe gave me hope. Once he showed me where my hairline could be, I could not unsee it. I signed up, went through three treatments, and I could not be happier with the results. Joe is a professional who knows what he is doing. He gave me a look I had only hoped I could have again. Once it was finished, I had to embrace my new look and stop trying to fix something every morning. At this point, I only see my barber for the conversation and maybe a beard trim. That alone tells you how much things have changed for me. If you have been thinking about getting it done, go see Joe. I am glad I did. read more

Does great work here. Had mines done 5 yrs ago and came back for touch up with the owner Joe Nguyen. Highly recommend he's very experienced in keeping it natural looking read more

I came from San Jose to get SMP done with Joe at Scalp Micropigmentation CA, and I'm really happy with the results! I usually wear a comb-over, but after the treatment, I actually prefer keeping my hair shaved shorter. I'll probably grow it back into a comb-over eventually, but I'm enjoying the shorter look for now. The hairline looks natural and blends really well with my existing hair. Highly recommend Joe if you're considering SMP-definitely worth the drive! read more

Highly recommend Joe for SMP! After four sessions, the transformation was incredible. Joe is professional, knowledgeable, and pays close attention to detail. I came to Joe at Scalp Micropigmentation CA not knowing what to expect. Like a lot of guys, I was dealing with the usual male pattern baldness and was looking for a solution that looked natural. From the very first session, Joe made the process comfortable and explained everything clearly. I've come back several times for touch-ups and to gradually go a little darker each visit, and the results have been fantastic. The gradual approach allowed me to get exactly the look I wanted while keeping everything natural and realistic. Joe is incredibly skilled at what he does--honestly, he's a magician. The attention to detail and artistry he brings to every session are impressive, and the confidence boost has been huge. If you're losing hair and considering scalp micropigmentation, I highly recommend Joe. For anyone in the Bay Area looking for a true professional who delivers amazing results, you won't be disappointed. read more

My experience with Joe was disappointing. While cutting my hair, he repeatedly became distracted by his touchscreen TV, changing music and doing other miscellaneous things instead of keeping his attention on the haircut. The haircut came out okay in the end, but I honestly feel it could have been much better if he had given the haircut his full attention from start to finish. When I'm paying for a professional barber, I expect the barber to stay focused on the service rather than constantly getting distracted by other things. Joe has potential, but I think he could provide a much better experience by putting more focus and attention into his clients and the haircut itself. I hope he takes this as constructive criticism. read more

Great experience! The SMP looks amazing. The provider is very experienced and pays great attention to the aesthetics.

I had went to Joe for SMP because I wanted to gift myself something that would help with the appearance of my scalp. I had the full top done and kept the hairline natural looking. Not the perfect edge up look because I'm getting older. Very happy with the results and I'm probably going to bring my uncle as well. Best SMP in the Bay Area go check him out! read more

I took a chance and made the drive to see Joe, and I'm glad I did. I had an FUT scar that I wanted covered along with thinning across the entire top of my scalp. I've been getting my haircut with Joe since 2015, so when it came time to try SMP I knew that there was only one place to go. He has always been very skilled and I couldn't recommend him any higher. He was very communicative about what the process would be like, how it worked, and how much it would cost. I've looked into all of the alternatives, and I'm very confident that luck was on my side. I admit that I was very apprehensive about getting this done, but after my consultation and about a week of thinking about it, I went in for my first session. I explained to Joe that my main concern was to make this look natural and age-appropriate for my 50 years. Joe is highly skilled, easy to work with, and in the end I enjoyed going there and hanging out and talking while he did his thing. After my last session, I can say that I am very satisfied with how it looks. I'm gonna give it some time before deciding if I want it to be a bit darker, and Joe says that is fine to come back for a touch up. "We're not done until you're happy." Love that :) Overall I feel it looks very natural, and I am happy with the results. To all of you thinking about doing this, I say go for it! Although I can't say how this will look in 5+ years, I am confident that if I ever need a touch-up, Joe got my back and is the man to visit. I'm excited for all this to heal so I can go out and show it the world. Thanks for your help Joe. I feel lucky to have someone as talented as you so close by. - JB read more

Joe is a SCAMMER! He lied about what he promised to deliver. He did a shoddy job on my scalp and guaranteed I would have a very noticeable and clean looking hairline. What I received was an almost INVISIBLE hairline and the ink has faded to almost NOTHING in less than 3 WEEKS! He charged me $1,000 for 2 sessions of ONLY a hairline NOT my full scalp! I requested that he do more work to fix the issues or refund me and he kept refusing!!! Extremely poor business practices and defrauding customers!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY!!! HIS WORK IS TERRIBLE AND HE IS A SCAMMER!!! read more

I signed up for online training for the moment as I'm so busy at work so online works when I get the chance and is slow at work. I had technical difficulty with the sign in so I messaged Joe on IG and he immediately responded and helped me out super nice and got the issue solved and I got back on track to my online SMP studies. I want to also share that my experience first time I met Joe at his Academy Shop was great I went personally to introduce myself and get the vibe of SMP to see if Joe sells his training or does care to pass the knowledge. I checked a few SMP business trainers with respect I know Joe is the real deal on getting the training I told him I'd be back just have to work and get some bills paid off. He informed me about the program to finance yet I was straight up I like to pay cash up front and he didn't pressure me at all. He is about business and so am I like that it's small meaning I know I will get the in person training later on when I'm done the online. Best of all he is willing to work with you he gave me tour, showed me the on the go SMP van, online business everything. This was months ago I wanna say Spring time and here I am in winter, Joe never pressured me and at the beginning sometimes you need someone to give you that "hey you ready?" Without it there wouldn't be pressure in a positive way to take a leap of faith than looking back five years and say "I would have signed up" his online modules is clear and I will come back and give a review on the on hands training. Can't wait. read more
