I have a coupon card supporting a local school that this location has refused to honor twice now. So. so bad. staff is incompetent and careless. we could tell the driveway cashier rang us up incorrectly so when asked for a receipt we said yes. she proceeded to throw the receipt away. we get to the pick up window where we receive the wrong smoothie. we ask for our receipt again and they hand us a random crumpled receipt from a different order that does not have any items on it but instead has the signature and name of the person who made the purchase. because they knew they rang us up incorrectly when we asked for our receipt again they printed us a new one on the spot. then they took back the incorrect smoothie and gave us the correct one. continuous lies and carelessness. smoothie king overall is great but this location is terrible. read more

I had never been to a Smoothie King before about a week ago. They just opened this location in a historic building that I drive by multiple times everyday while commuting to and from work. After awhile I just had to stop and give it a shot and I am glad I did. They offer a big variety of smoothies for every need. They're broken up into 5 different themes: fitness, energy, slim, wellness, and take a break. I usually stick with energy or wellness depending on how I'm feeling that day. There is also an option to "make it a meal" where they'll add a meal enhancer to any smoothie that will give you all the protein and fiber you need to keep you full until your next meal. I was skeptical but it actually does satisfy my hunger! The one kind of annoying thing about this location is the drive through. If you're coming from Douglas you have to do a U-turn to get into it and it's super narrow. There is also a wide and high curb between the window and the drive that makes you and the worker have to stretch to your limits to exchange money and drinks. I heard it was a construction mistake and I hope they plan on fixing it soon. But you can always go inside if you don't want to deal with that. Either way, I have been stopping by Smoothie King two or three times a week now. I'm so happy they opened a location downtown! read more

I have been multiple times Since they reopened. I keep having bad experiences at this location that I never experience at the west side store. I love a smoothie and not having to eat a meal. It normally would save me time rather than eating, but I feel like I can't go because my smoothie won't be ready in time even if I order ahead. The app is terrible which isn't this stores fault but regardless of App or in-store it will take forever to make. The biggest issues I had were being overcharged when they had their Friday special and my smoothie being done and not being told that it was. I felt stupid that I had been waiting and wasn't told that it was done until I came up and asked. I really wish they would improve on these issues but for now I'm going to try the west side store as that one is convenient to my house but sadly not my work. read more

A company that has a rewards program and yet this location doesn't honor the benefits and perks of that program. For joining the rewards program (which took the location about a year to tell me about to begin with) I received a coupon for a discounted smoothie. This location refused to honor this and could not provide any explanation as to why. Instead they decided to inform me that I would just have to spend more money with them in order to receive a free smoothie. I hope the $2.00 they saved on this transaction was worth the amount they are going to lose from what would have been a lifelong customer. I'll take my money somewhere that knows how to treat and keep customers. read more

The smoothies here are tasty and, for the most part, healthy. A close look at the ingredients of some of the smoothies show they are perhaps a bit less healthy than advertised, but still not as bad as some! I have been going to Smoothie King for several years now; I used to go to the one on west Central, plus have tried the Rock Road one a few times, but stopped because I got a strange vibe from the people who worked there every single time. I have never found ordering to be an awkward experience, except at Smoothie King. And waiting for the order, it feels like the workers are staring at me. Very, very odd, and not something I've ever experienced anywhere else. I thought I had found "my" Smoothie King at this location, but apparently there's been some staff turnover there and they are now much the same as the other locations. Too bad, because poor staffing is definitely enough to keep me away, even though I really do love their smoothies! If you can get over the awkward staff though, it's a great place for a smoothie, lots of choices and flavors and add ins that make it even healthier (though the add ins mostly also add on extra cost). read more
