Over the past few months, City Silo has become one of my go-tos for days when I want something…read morerelatively healthy to eat for dinner but do not want to cook. Their menu offers vegetarian, vegan, and meat-based menu items with simple ingredients that taste wonderful but also don't lead to heartburn or other regrets post-eating. My favorite thing to get is their Ranch Bird (current incarnation of their Hen House breakfast sandwich). They also have wonderful smoothies!

It's not, I learned, but studying the menu at City Silo you'd not be wrong to consider that, perhaps, there might be some buried in your food or green drink. The names given to menu items here are all playful riffs on the names given to THC and CBD products elsewhere in the country. Aside from the monikers, the menu here is a fever-dream of wonderfully healthful-sounding offerings and the physical space in which to enjoy it all is seriously perfection. It's immaculate and well-designed and just a charming place in which to spend an hour or two. Between two of us, a "Green Light Go" drink ($10.50 for a small), a "Super Classy" acai bowl ($13), and a "Kind Veggie Burrito" ($11) were consumed and we left feeling that this place practiced what they preached: clean eating, that makes you feel good about what you've consumed but also that you enjoyed consuming. My acai bowl was packed with so much good stuff (greek yogurt, almond butter, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, cashews, roasted pepitas, hemp seeds, cacao nibs, bee pollen, granola, and honey) that I wasn't even certain where the acai was. With an additional two outposts in Tennessee I can happily say that City Silo + Pantry would fit in perfectly in Northern California, perhaps in my neighborhood, where I'd be quite pleased to welcome them.

Parking could be an issue during busy hours but I have never had a problem. The location is a bit odd because its off a really busy street in a small business center. The workers are cool and prices are good. It's a casual dress, anyone is welcome type of business.

Cheba Hut was definitely an experience from the moment I walked in. First thing I noticed was how…read moreclean the restaurant was, and I was greeted immediately by the cashier, which always sets a good tone. This was my first time visiting a Cheba Hut, and I have to admit, walking into a restaurant that is completely marijuana-themed is different, but honestly kind of fun. The vibe is unique, laid back, and memorable without feeling sketchy or over-the-top. The cashier was on the quieter side, but she was extremely polite, respectful, and genuinely helpful while ordering. Customer service overall was solid. Now for the food and pricing, this is where things get a little mixed. My total came out to $21.38 for an 8-inch sandwich, a drink, and a Goo Ball. At that price point, I expected something close to one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Unfortunately, while the flavor delivered, the portion-to-price ratio absolutely did not. I tried the Goo Ball first: Krispies, peanut butter, cocoa, honey, butter, and marshmallows rolled into a ball. Honestly? This thing was $3.59 worth of disappointment. It was bland, underwhelming, and somehow managed to taste like almost nothing despite all those ingredients. Maybe this hits differently if you're stoned, but for me it just wasn't worth the money at all. 2/10 For the sandwich, I ordered the "5-0": Smoked ham, Genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon, giardiniera peppers, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake, and house dressing. Food came out in about 9 minutes, which is pretty reasonable. Flavor-wise? The sandwich was actually really good. The meats and dressing worked well together, the bread was solid, and overall it tasted fresh and satisfying. I'd honestly give the flavor an 8/10. But the value? That's the problem. For a $12 sandwich, the portions felt skimpy: - 2 slices of pepperoni - 1 slice of bacon cut in half - 2 slices of salami - 1 slice of cheese - 1 tomato slice cut in half - maybe 1/8 of a pickle slice There was genuinely more lettuce than every other topping combined. It felt like a sandwich built to look full instead of actually being full. If this sandwich were priced around $8-9, I'd probably leave happy. But at $12+, I expected a much more generously stacked sub. Cheba Hut has a cool concept, clean restaurant, and tasty food, but the pricing versus portion size keeps this from being a place I'd regularly come back to. Great vibe, decent sandwich, disappointing value.

This lets you know it's very "family friendly." Ambiance of the space is nice. I'll say three steps up, above "basic." It's very on "theme" with the "Orange" concept. Albeit my waitress was good, she didn't know WHY the restaurant was called "The Big Orange," or what it meant. That's an "onboarding" oversight. So, apparently they cook to order, as I ordered prior to beginning this review, and it has yet to arrive. I like that. I ordered the "Breakfast Burger." I'm pissed because I didn't tell her, (and she didn't ask), the temperature I wanted it to be. It came well done!! I HATE well done. I'm sure it would have been phenomenal had it been medium rare, the way I love my burgers. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Walked in and was greeted by the host, love the space, very warm and inviting..hints of MCM decor. Our waiter was awesome very friendly and broke down the menu and its offerings to us. I got the Umami burger and truffle fries, I was so sad when that plate was empty...food was great, 10/10 would definitely go back.
