This place is perfect for the blazing hot summer days we've had in KC recently. It's pretty much guilt-free since all the ingredients have fruit, yogurt, or vegetables. Best of all--it's a great price, you get so much more than what you think! Like the other reviews pointed out, a small is like a medium. I can never finish the smoothie myself, so my boyfriend and I just buy one cup for the two of us. The staff is quite friendly, and it's pretty clean inside. If you look around, they also sell an intriguing selection of dietary supplements if you're into that. A bit pricy though. Overall, their smoothies are awesome--just be wary of any smoothies with banana in it! It will overpower the smoothie and make it taste only like a banana (at least in my experiences). Great healthy option for a great price (especially when I'm too lazy to use my Vitamix)! read more

Never had a bad experience here. I get the Chocolate Hulk with peanut butter and it never disappoints. I also tried the Loaded Chocolate Hazelnut Toast which was pretty filling and had great fresh fruit on top. It's definitely pricier than what I think it's worth so good thing there war a coupon on the app. But it's worth a try if you want a little something extra with your smoothie. read more

I love smoothie king!! Especially on a healthy journey it's the easiest go to . Like a fast food version

The service was amazing and the workers made mine and husbands drinks perfect! I am from CA and I've never experienced such nice people.

I get the same thing every time I come here. A peanut power plus chocolate and it's usually fine. This time however, I don't know what they forgot or did wrong, but the consistency was off, the color was off, and the taste was wrong. It tasted like banana water. I asked and was given some attitude and told by the woman that she made it herself and it looks fine to her. I ended up dumping it, it's so bad. read more

Very good service was greeted with a smile and the people behind the counter were nice and cool to talk to

This location needs to be closed. The people are not friendly. Today my drink was made very poorly. When asking the young lady Kierra how was her day she gave me a mug and could not respond. I have never seen them so angry welp I hope things are better next time. Sadly, I received poor service today. read more

First time having it, they worked with the many questions I had and got me set up on the app. Overall good experience. read more

Smoothie King - Strawberry watermelon with a half serving of spinach - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

So I have visited this location on a few occasions because the gyms smoothies are way too small for the price. This last time I visited, has sealed the deal on this location. I won't be back. Let me start off by saying that the store front is clean. But this says nothing to the back of the house. I say this bc each time I have visited, their smoothies have been off taste wise. It literally taste as if the fruit has spoiled or whatever they scoop in the blender. I have tried them during the day and in the evening. Each & every time this same taste. Now when I visit other locations, this is not the case. These are franchised out(their not owned by the same person) You can't just go to another Smoothie King and get a different one. You must go back to that location so make sure you taste it before you leave. I hate that this location is like this because it's really convenient but I'll drive further to get a better tasting smooth. For $7 you don't want to be questioning what your drinking. Service- typically slow, anytime after 6pm nothing is stocked you'll wait 25 min for a smoothie on a Friday if not pre ordered. Even then you'll wait. This place thrives because there isn't another one for miles. Otherwise these place would be closed. read more

This location waters down their smoothies and the "kids" working at this one are slow in service and act like they really dont care. I was hoping the new owners would improve quality and service. Drive to Johnson Drive or to OPKs location....much better read more

Always have a great experience here. The staff is polite and knowledgeable. Any of the smoothies' ingredients can be tweaked too, if there's something you don't care for. They have a good selection of healthy grab & go drinks & snacks too. But be warned- their sizes are HUGE. The small smoothie is what most places would call at least a medium or large. read more

Smoothie King - They call this huge beast a 'small'! Strawberries, blueberries, & raspberry sorbet. Yummmmmm - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

Stopped by at 8:45pm. Clearly says on door that they close at 9. Door was locked. They let me in and said I couldn't order....very poor customer service. Went to Tropical Smoothie Cafe....They took my order a few minutes before they closed. read more

Owned and operated by a Kansas City entrepreneur, Smoothie King in Kansas City, MO is a great place to go wind down after a workout. It has cheery but not obnoxious music playing, and is bright and spotless in condition. The store smells of fresh fruit and delicious ingredients. There are comfortable places to sit while you wait for your smoothie, or even to sit and enjoy it once you've got it. And there are a plethora of smoothie choices, ranging form lower calorie to high protein, and creatine-infused. The staff is very friendly and helpful when navigating the massive menu. The store is also full of supplements, snacks and treats- all of the healthy(er) persuasion. One tip, if you go and enjoy yourself, get a smoothie punch card and your 10th smoothie will be free. read more

Easily the worst smoothie king I've been to. The guy at the register was 0 help. He knew nothing about the smoothies and when I asked about them he'd just say "Uhm idk I don't get that one". When I tried ordering one he kept mumbling and I seriously had no idea what he was asking me. When I finally got my smoothie it was the wrong one ‍. Won't be going to this location again. Only positive is that the guy who handed me my incorrect smoothie smiled and said have a nice day in a very genuine way. A little kindness goes a long way, his gesture was much appreciated! read more

Large, larger, largest - the only way to describe the three sizes Smoothie King offers for their delicious smoothies. This was a quick stop on the way home a couple weeks ago close to closing time. Despite closing up in about five minutes, the workers were still quick, friendly, and accommodating. I can't justify dessert in a cup - I'd rather have fresh fruit and juice, not ice cream, yogurt, fixins, etc... Smoothie King has a ton of choices to suit everyone's needs. Their expansive menu is sure to please. I tried the "Light and Fluffy" and blushed when ordering it, wishing it had a more manly name. It's bananas, strawberries, and OJ. Very refreshing, but still nearly 400 calories for a 20 ouncer. It's something I would have rather had in a smaller cup - maybe 16 ounces. Two medium smoothies and we shelled out nearly 14 bucks. This seemed a little steep for fruit, juice, and ice. The quality was still really good and we even saved some for the next morning - god knows we had enough left over. We'll be back but will look for smaller options. read more

Strawberry kiwi breeze. It's cheap, it's delicious, it's filling, and quite frankly, it's awesome. Best Smoothie King staff between the stores in the metro I have been to. They also sell dirty's potato chips (Which is actually the same company that makes Zapps). read more

I have to get a smoothie here every time I am in town. They are incredible and the portions are hugemongous! Last time I had the apple kiwi kale smoothie and it was sweet and delicious. This place is reasonably priced and amazing! Service is always friendly and prompt! read more

For the most part the smoothies are really good! They have so many choices that it is often difficult to decide what to get! In addition, they have lots of incentives to lower the costs; and, they have an app that allows you to create your smoothie ahead of time on your phone and send it to them! It's pretty cool and will save you a bunch of time! The only thing that could bring this to a full five out of five is if they used 100% fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. I really wish that more smoothie places used fresh rather than frozen items. Lastly, if you are eating there for health reasons, make sure you keep an eye on the sugars and calories that go into the smoothies-they add up fast! Overall, I like this place! read more

I used to love going to this Smoothie King, but poor teenage girls who had to deal with an angry older white lady who had an attitude when I ask her to put my smoothie in the nut allergy bowl . I have been coming here since 2009, lately there has been a non stop revolving door of new people working here every week almost, I used to know the employees by name and vice versa. The last few times I have come in for my bi weekly hulk and it was not made correctly and without my enhancers. The young man and young woman gave me the "eye roll" when I asked them to fix my 10$ shake. Now there is a sign that says "the world is short staffed, be kind to who showed up" I am going to post a sign that says "the world is broke, if we pay you 10+ $ to make our shakes, staff your business with the right people". I hope someday someone brings this place back to what it was 5-10 years ago. read more

I love that they have reorganized the menu showing the benefits of each smoothie. I ordered a medium not looking at the sizes, and HOLY COW it was big. I would've ordered a small (if not a super small) if I would've looked. But, nonetheless, super good and helped me feel a little better. A little more expensive than I would've liked, but for the amount we got, I can understand. Next time I'll just get a small :) read more

This place used to be great. Not sure what happened but waiting 30 minutes for a smoothie when there is only 2 people in front of you isn't worth it. It would get a one star but at least the guy making the smoothies was nice. The other gentleman didn't help him one bit. He seemed preoccupied with using the restroom and counting his tips. Rough, very rough experience. I would recommend not coming to this location. read more

Just because I had a bad experience I am not reading them a good rating I wouldn't even give them a rating they treated me really rude just because they have a different color skin and I'm white doesn't mean they have to treat others differently and they don't have any respect for older people I went Friday, May 1 to get a smoothie for both me and my daughter and it was around 6:30 and waited in the car for my daughter while she went and picked up the drinks everything was made wrong you all know it's Friday five dollar specials they gave her a small one which I paid for two large smoothies I will go back to the store to speak to the supervisor or manager to see if I could get my money back but I will never come back and I will tell all my friends who like smoothie king not to go there ever again read more

Finally found a smoothie place to replace my love for Booster Juice since moving to the United States. They have something for everyone here. The menu is large and anything can be tweaked to fit your needs. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. You get what you pay for here - their sizes are huge! The app to text in what you want from your phone if you are on your way there is also a pretty cool feature, though I have not used it yet. read more

This place is never staffed properly. Great smoothies with the worst service. 25 mins for a smoothie is not an acceptable wait time.

I love smoothie king! We don't have any back home in Michigan, but we have something similar. And yet, it doesn't compare to smoothie king! There is such a wide variety of smoothies and modifications to your smoothies its a hard choice every time I walk in. So far my go-to smoothies have been the Lean1 smoothies (preferably the tropical one)! It's delicious and around 300 calories for the small and it's just so good! The small is like a medium, the medium like a large, and the large like a extra large. The portions are huge, I barely finish my small. They do have 5$ Friday's which you can get any medium smoothie for 5$ which is awesome! The service is fast and easy. Interesting how you order and then pay at the end of the counter once you get your smoothie. But, I like it! Will always be coming back (: read more

The smoothies here are great and the employees are very friendly! There are soooooo many flavor options + enhancers. I come here if I want a smoothie to hold me over post workout. They even do frontflip so you can scan that barcode for a chance to get some freebies! The portions here are pretty freaking huge. Their small is what would be a medium at most businesses. And you know what? It's still cheaper, and tastes better than T. Loft down the street.....don't tell anyone I said that. Come here for a little more bang for your buck!! read more
