I have never experienced a staff member who was combative with me about MY drink substitute. I consider myself a smoothie king regular, especially on $5 Friday's. My #1 smoothie is a Green Tea Tango with mangoes. I replace the yogurt for almond milk ( due to allergies) This was the drink I ordered during my visit, the staff questioned me several times, "was I sure because that doesn't sound right" I stated I order this drink on a regular and I'm sure. I expressed to her that I'm lactose intolerant and can't have yogurt. I gave her the details of how I would like my substitution so the drink would be made accurately so she wouldn't have to make it over. Only for her to respond in a nasty attitude, " well it's probably going to get remade anyway" And to my surprise the drink wasn't made properly even though I gave her detailed instruction. The other young lady who poured my smoothie into a cup I asked her what was the cashiers name and she was reluctant to give it to me. I was excited to try their cold brew coffee smoothie and 15 minutes later after I walked in, finally got to try it out. There was only one guy working and three other people in front of me, both were surprises to me. I thought there would have been at least two people working and I thought no one else would be grabbing a smoothie on a Sunday morning. Another surprise? The price of smoothies. She was very kind but seemed new. She made my smoothie a bit chunky so I asked if they could remake it. Her trainer, a young, dark haired man with a septum piercing seemed very irritated with her because she had not made my smoothie bowl and messed up a smoothie. I'm not sure who remade my smoothie but it was not what I asked for. I asked for a chocolate hulk with modifications and they made it vanilla. When I asked them what it was, Breyanna read off the sticker to me and I asked again if that's what they made and if it was chocolate and the young man straight up lied in my face. While we were waiting for 25 mins for 2 smoothies and a smoothie bowl the young man used profanity while complaining about another coworker and stating he wouldn't be doing his job since they didn't do theirs. His attitude was disgusting. On top of this I asked for plastic and got styrofoam for all drinks. The fruit also smelled old. My husband was so excited for his first trip to smoothie king as a coworker of his gets a smoothie from there almost every day and just raves about them. Unfortunately we weren't very impressed. The person working the counter suggested something that was perfect for me even though I can't remember the name of it. It ended up being $8 for a medium drink, so I highly recommend waiting until $5 Fridays if you're only going to come once a week. I drove out to this location because the other MacArthur location had a power outage?? I walked in and wasn't greeted but that seems to be the norm here based on the reviews. I didn't wait too long for my shake which was good and she did announce it when it was ready since I was looking at the protein so that was nice of her. There is a boxing facility close by so they had 4 shakes going while I walked in even though no one was there! I'll probably be back. I tried the pineapple mango lean1. I'm not a fan of that vanilla protein taste but this one wasnt overpowering which I like and it's not too bad for calories. The cashier also took my card with her hand full of protein, no receipt and she didn't tell me my total. I will probably end up going to the other location once the electrical issue is resolved. I tried to order on the app for a 8:45 pick up time which didn't go through so I rushed (ON THE TOLLWAY) to get my $5 smoothie and this location was closed with their doors locked 8 minutes early. I called the number for this location and a different location answered saying there is nothing that can be done and they are just a minimum wage worker but they are sorry. I asked for a manager name/email/number and was told I will receive a call tomorrow this being the third time this has happened with no calls back or anyone taking this seriously I would assume that no management or franchise owners know that their employees are losing them business by closing doors to customers during business hours. read more

She made this depressing, very noticeable vulgar expression while mumbling what anyone could assume is something profane. Good Afternoon: I had the pleasure of visiting one of your stores in Fort Lauderdale, Fl while on vacation. The service was HORRIBLE from the general manager who stated her name to be Chelsea. She has no clue on how to operate a business nor deal with customers. For one, the strawberries had a weird taste to them which lead me to believe they were spoiled. I got back to my hotel room and threw up everywhere. At that same time my friend ordered a banana boat drink which appeared to have bugs inside and unnoticed until the drink was low. When we went back to the store to notify the general manager Chelsea, her attitude was beyond professional. She had an acquaintance who she stated was her girlfriend come to the front and told us to leave because we were making a scene. I'm normally not the one to write reviews (you can actually check my profile activity) so it has to be a bad or near bad experience for me to write. I'm giving it a 2 star bc the service is usually acceptable. I came in the location with an employee right at the front of the entrance fixing the location's visuals with no greeting whatsoever. Doesn't have to be elaborate, but just a "hey there" would have sufficed, nothing. Then i walk up to an empty cash wrap waiting for someone to at least talk to me, much less be available to take my order. After abt 2mins the girl from the front notices I'm waiting and says "Oh i thought someone was there to say something." Well why didn't YOU say something? So as she walks to he front, that's when 2 more employees come from the back actually being ignored again they started to banter to the visuals person while I'm sitting there just waiting, again, for someone to speak to me to take my order. I patiently wait and then the cashier asks for my order and i reply "Oh, so YOU'RE ready?" The transaction goes smoothly and i wait for an acceptable time for my smoothie and i leave.
