I've always loved this location it's nearest to my home and most convenient for my wife and I, We've never had any issues up until this past Saturday. We visited this location late in the afternoon around 7:30pm upon our entry we were greeted with a less than enjoyable welcome from behind the counter, Ms. Christina didn't seem enthused with our presents, She asked us what would we be having tonight in an annoyed manner. While we were ordering at the register she was leaning on the wall just staring at us waiting for our order with no type of help or information on the menu. Me being on a vegan diet cannot do dairy so as I was asking what my options were she could hardly tell me anything at all. Then when we did place our order she printed our ticket and walked over to her co-worker where the proceeded to point and snicker at our ticket like it was some type of under the table joke. Ms. Christina was very slow at making what we ordered and seemed thrilled to have to actually do something. There was no thank you come again as we were leaving or anything of that nature. I've visited this location several times and have never had any problems out of other employees except her. Which Is sad because we really like this location. I feel if the employee don't want to work or do her job then she needs to quit or be let go. Me and my wife both noticed the snickering at our order and we're both taken back and surprised by this employee's rude demeanor. Stopped by this place for a delicious smoothie. It did not disappoint. The service was nice and friendly. The establishment was clean. I like it so much that I came back the next day on a Sunday afternoon. The smoothie was as delicious as the previous day. The service was off but not by far. I knocked one star off because there was only one employee taking orders for 5 separate customers and also making smoothies for the first 10 minutes. Then a second employee came straight from the bathroom to help with the orders which sped thing up a little bit. I guess Sunday afternoon has fewer employees and service is slower. read more

The zucchini bread is kept in the fridge to keep it fresh (understandable) but of course this means it's REALLY COLD when you buy it. Every other Smoothie King I've ever gone to (for years, different cities/states etc) will put it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds for me. This location is never willing to do it and now they say it's a "health issue" and it's the owners request. What health issue??! It's a product that YOU sell and it's closed, wrapped in plastic. That makes absolutely no sense! That's like going to Starbucks, buying a sandwich and then they won't warm it for you. ??!! It one of the slowest locations I've been at so far in the North Houston area. The smoothie was good, but it took 3 students to make a smoothie in 15 minutes... While there was only one other person in the store waiting for their drink. There must be something wrong with the A/C because it's always hot when I go in there. I have to say I'm disappointed in this store. I've gone there multiple times and the service has been horrible each time . No one greeted me when I came in, no welcoming smile/ any emotion from the employees when ordering and no urgency to prepare my 2 smoothies in a timely manner. Customer service is very important when running a business. This is a huge part of bringing people in to your store. More time needs to be invested in training our youth in costumer service! This movie King is super convenient next to my house I love the fact that they're open till 10 so after the gym I can grab a quick protein shake and bypass all the fast food goodies that are around. I do wish they had a drive-thru just to be a little more convenient that I guess if you get in the shape you should really get out the car and walk LOL. This is quite a large HEB they post a lot of community events on their community board so the kind of keeps you involved in what's going around the staff there's really friendly really quick and can really specialize in anything on the menu to fit your taste buds or your desires. read more

Would recommend only paying with cash as they have a tendency to double charge your card. I used to come here every morning and honestly I wouldn't have noticed that they double charged my card except for the fact that my bank account was already low and it caused me to go negative which NEVER happens because I don't spend beyond what I know I have. When I went in to ask what happened, the employee was very nice about it but also said that this happens a lot and even happened to them and that if they hadn't called about it, nothing would've been done! Ok smoothies, not worth double the price in my opinion. Update: went back after a month and after having received a message from one of the staff apologizing and asking me to come in and allow them to try to fix it. When I walked in I asked for my normal smoothie order, was charged, and then told afterwords that they had no peanut butter to make my smoothie. Now from my previous experience, I already knew that they couldn't refund it. So when I asked them what I was supposed to do about my now new charge and no smoothie, the Young man replied "I don't know I'd have to ask my manager" who obviously wasn't there.
