This smoothie king had the rudest employees I've ever seen. One of them was nice and seemed to feel bad for me, but the other two did not want to be bothered with working/taking my order or helping in any way. After spending over $100 I asked them if they had a bag or carrier or anything to carry out all of my stuff and the girl just rolled her eyes said no and walked away. The longest drive thru ever- expect a minimum of 10 minutes with one car in front. It really deserves 2 stars, the reason I was so generous with my stars is: 1. I was a regular customer and the staff was great. The owner banned me for complaining. I've been to this location multiple times and I've always had a great experience. I've been through the drive-thru recently but the staff and their service is always a pleasant experience. The only reason why I wouldn't give this place 5 stars is because I had to wait for the car in front of me to get their order for 5-10 minutes which is a little long when there were only 2 cars in line. But once I got to the window the service was quick. I definitely recommend the daily warrior wellness smoothie, it has a great taste of berries, then peanut butter with almond to give that taste like you're having dessert but it's all healthy! read more

This is the worst Smoothie King in the country. Went there the other day to get a smoothie, tried to use my debit card and they said it didn't work. Well, they ran it four times. FOUR TIMES! They said it still didn't work, so I paid in cash and went on my way. The next day I looked on my banking and it had charged my account for four smoothies.... I only got one. So I called the manager, instead of getting my money back or maybe getting a gift card for the amount that they TOOK from me, the manager said that I could get one smoothie a day for the next four days. This location is awesome! The owner is very attentive to the customers and has been doing a great job of keeping the local kids on the right path and encourages them to further their education. I LOVE Smoothie King...in fact, I was SO excited when they announced a new location in Hickory. HOWEVER- this is the SLOWEST Smoothie King I have ever been to. If you need to get to work on time, make sure you leave a good 10 minutes to wait in the drive-thru (IF there are no other cars of course....if there's a line, good luck getting out of there in 15-20 minutes with your smoothie). No Fruit in the fruit smoothies! Absolutely horrible! I ordered a blueberry smoothie & it tasted so sweet I couldn't drink it. I asked if it had blueberries in it and they said no, they used a concentrated blueberry juice. I then asked the young lady to see the box for the concentrated blueberry juice and it contains no blueberries! I really enjoy smoothie king but I was totally disappointed in how this one is staffed. Lines on Friday night are always long and they usually have 2 employees during prime time which to me , does not seem to be nearly enough. I happened to have a chance to speak with the manager, Adam, and explained he needed more help on Friday nights. Adam, acted as if he could care less and said "We're fine" and walked away. I normally don't leave reviews on much of anything. In fact, I visit this place several times a year. I never gave a problem. However today I decided to through the drive thru. First of all, let me say I genuinely feel bad for the poor girl that was working all by herself. She was doing everything she could to keep up. I'm not sure who the loud mouth, obnoxious woman was that unnecessarily stood there and ran her mouth talking to the employee about a mere $25 worth of change in the drawer, but she was distracting her from doing her job and made comments about how she wished she could help her but she couldn't. I'm not sure if she was related to management or what, but my family and I literally stood at the counter for TEN minutes without even being acknowledged. The woman standing to the side and talked about how hard she worked in her life and how she understood what is was like to work all by herself. Then she proceeded to say that this establishment was going to hell in a hand basket. WELL I CAN SEE WHY. If you work there, get in there and help. If you don't, leave and quit interfering with people who are. I gave it two stars because the smoothie was actually very good. Management needs to their priorities straight. read more
