I genuinely like Smoothie King's products. The smoothies are solid, consistent when made right, and they hit the mark when it comes to convenience and nutrition. That's the frustrating part, because the experience around it doesn't match the product. The customer service at this location is dismal. The store closes early without notice, they run out of basic ingredients before the posted closing time, and the hours of operation feel completely inconsistent. It's hard to rely on a place when you don't know if they'll actually be open or able to serve what's on the menu. This isn't a product issue, it's a management issue. The place needs structure, accountability, and oversight. If that means bringing in more experienced staff to run the store properly, then that's what needs to happen. Right now, the execution is hurting what could otherwise be a great spot. read more

I love Smoothie King. I do feel the need to share my experience that needs corporate attention. There is no AC and it has been this way for weeks! The store was so uncomfortable I couldn't stay but a few minutes and ended up not purchasing my favorite high protein chocolate smoothie. I did notice employees are sweating while making smoothies and I feel this is certainly is a health problem - no one wants a smoothie with employee sweat dripping in them. The franchise owner is lacking responsibility in taking care of the employees and patrons. Unacceptable and shame on you! I typically send my two teenage daughters i since they LOVE this place, but yesterday was different! I ventured in and admitted i was a newby and clueless when it came to ordering. Mary was a kind face and walked me through the process, although she knew I was there for the $5 Friday deal because I ordered the two smoothies my daughters always get, and didn't inform me that my smoothie didn't qualify and would end up being almost $9! I brought a date here and was helped by two young ladies, both named Hannah. They were super knowledgeable and sweet and made our visit feel very welcomed. The place felt very safe in regards to the global pandemic, as they were very sanitary and respectful of distance. But enough about the experience, let's talk about the shakes. First of all, Hannah #1 was basically an expert smoothie consultant. She picked us apart as if we were little LEGO toys and analyzed each piece down to our deepest desires on a psychological level. After we answered some of her carefully calculated questions, she directed us some alluring menu options. We both chose based on her professional suggestions and she went back to make the smoothies. Meanwhile, we engaged in conversation with Hanna #2, who was really fun and likewise knowledgeable. She rang us up at the register so quickly that I didn't even notice that I'd paid. These two girls work together like grease on perfectly aligned gears, and whatever lab they were made in, those scientists are using the perfect amount of the right ingredients. 10/10 will come back again just to interact with them. Finally, we both took sips from our drinks. Queue the rush of euphoria and happy memories; these drinks were perfectly tailored to our tastes. Hannah #1 had made these as if she were the goddess of taste itself. We didn't wait very long these drinks of eternal happiness. In fact, I'm sipping on it now as I write this review. Do not visit this location. The employees are disrespectful and rude. Today I went to grab a smoothie and as I walked towards the back to wait for my smoothie there was a older woman restocking. She tried to reach for a box on top of a shell that was clearly out of her reach. Next, she went to the back to grab a utensil to assist with her efforts. I'm standing back there watching the guy make my smoothie when suddenly I'm hit in the back with a box of snacks she was trying to retrieve. She's laughing and apologizing saying she didn't mean to do it. So the other employees begin chuckling and I turn around and show that I didn't find anything funny about the situation with a serious face. Really nice Smoothie King location in the Alliance Town Center. As with most SK outposts, it's staffed by strapping young guys or energetic high school/college gals. That's a good thing, because they're enthusiastic about the smoothie offerings and these employees were very helpful in assisting me in figuring out the right option to fill my smoothie craving without breaking the calorie bank! However you need your smoothie fix : high protein, low sugar, "green" smoothies, indulgent, tropical, or classic, I think that (among smoothie chains), Smoothie King has the most comprehensive and tastiest menu! The guys working during my visit were so friendly and suggested strawberries as an alternative to the pure cane sugar. When I asked if they use Splenda or other fake sugars, he replied no, unless the customer requests it. The other guy even made me a sample that included the strawberry addition to my no-sugar-added mango/papaya smoothie, and it was amazing! This store is clean, bright, and packed with non-smoothie snacks to fulfill your high-protein, low-carb needs or whatever snack you feel like. Great service! I placed an order in the morning for pick up. I got held up with traffic and I ran in to grab my smoothie! Instead of placing it out in the pick up container the wonderful Smoothie King associate put it in the cooler to keep cool. I was 20 min past my pick up time by the time I got there and it would have been half melted if he didn't do that. I appreciated the thought, gesture and courtesy I was given. I'm a new regular at this place, I just wanted to stop in and get a quick smoothie, and was amazed by what awaited me inside. There was a woman about my age who helped a first time customer decide what I got, not sure exactly what she recommended but I will come back and revise as soon as I remember, but I gave her the one thing I couldn't eat because I am allergic and she helped me work around that and ended up recommending her favorite smoothie. I'm really tired of having my money wasted. I usually get a meal replacement shake and add a few extras to give my body what it needs (banana, fiber blend, energy boost etc). However every single time they make my shake there is an absurd amount of excess left in the blender. I have mentioned I would rather it be short than have excess because at least I would get what I paid for. I WILL NOT be back unless my $10.00 shake that I had paid for and got about half of what was actually made is refunded. I'm tired of it. It's wasteful. It would be 5 stars BUT my drink had no banana but it tasted like it ?!... Only thing I can say is that they didn't wash the blender after they made the previous drink!
