Wow the smoothies are great! But.... The people. Wow. it's surprised me to know how horrible people can be! Me and my daughter come here allll the time every Tuesday to be exact we decided to go for 3 days straight when we went there we were met with the sweetest kindest soul two girls. but one of them was sick! I asked why earth would she be working if she's sick! she said in quote "my manager said I couldn't stay home"... unbelievable this is safety hazard and absolutely disgusting!!! The kind little girl said this was her managers doing so I proceeded to come in till I saw said manager! Then BOOM. I met her. She did not welcome us in OR make our drinks correct! She had the nastiest attitude. I'm a mom to a teen I've seen attitude and this was wayyyy beyond attitude, this was flat out rudeness! Best Smoothie King location in Nashville and it's not close. They are always stocked with everything that many other locations do not have (I.e. health bars, jerky, protein, canned beverages) and the smoothies are consistently made well. As a former employee- save yourself the trouble of going here. -The building is in major need of repairs because of some machinery not being turned off and flooding the store. They also need at least 2 more blenders. -It's impossible to keep the place staffed, especially when they like to hire so many high schoolers who don't value anyone's time besides their own and call out an hour before their shift, causing the manager to either beg employees already on the clock to stay for the rest of the day, or the manager stays themself when they already work the most hours. Bass ackwards system. -The reviews regarding employees being rude make me sad, because that's not 100% their fault. It's a terrible work environment that hires you so quickly and easily. I hadn't even finished watching all of the training videos before I was being shown how to work the register DURING orders, which was so uncomfortable and unprofessional for me and for the customers who had to deal with that. -There needs to be a better system when it comes to online orders: they never stop coming in regardless of how busy it is. They never change the pickup time based on busyness, so every online-customer expects their smoothie to be done 5-10 minutes before their ticket can actually even be worked on. A limit or cap on how many online orders can come in at a time would fix every problem everyone has had with online ordering. Just a simple pop up saying "We are sorry for any inconvenience, but this location is receiving a high amount of orders. Please try again in 5-10 mins" and then there would be world peace, I think. -The seating is not ideal. Benches alongside the wall where alllll of the products are would be ideal, since there's always a line and only 60% of the retail shelves are actually utilized. -TRAIN EMPLOYEES BETTER* I had no idea what to say to people when things were going wrong. The employees would benefit from having a literal script of what to say at the register. Also update the registers. The menus always get updated, but there are soooo many confusing options and buttons on the register that even the people who trained me didn't know what most of them did. The FOH in-person training needs to be worked on MAJORLY, because the new hires basically get thrown into chaos and only stick around if they don't have a personal life or anxiety. Shay is the WORST manager in the entire world. Ms. Sue is the sweetest women in the world and deserves a raise and as many off days as her heart desires. Shay is the rudest women I have ever come into contact with. Beyond rude and unprofessional with her employees, and with costumers? Do not get me started. Terrible work ethic and, for being a manager of a smoothie franchise, couldn't make an Angle Food to save. Her. LIFE! I have been a regular for years now and have heard of, and seen with the my own eyes, Shay's insufferable attitude poor work ethic. If I had to work under Shay's "guidance" (if you could even call it that), I would have gone straight to corporate, complained, and then put in my 2 weeks effective IMMEDIATELY. Again, as someone whom has been a regular forever, I feel as your location would be done so much justice by letting her go as soon as possible, and allowing Ms. Sue to lead that store to greatness. Shay is costing your store money by giving out handouts at any moment ie free bowls, smoothies, and items. She is ruining the atmosphere of the lovely establishment by putting her employees in a constant state of fear and overworked exhaustion, and then, half the time, ASKING HER EMPLOYEES TO CLOCK HER INTO HER SHIFT SHE NEVER BOTHERED TO SHOW UP FOR OR IS HOURS LATE FOR!! And don't get me started on how many times I have come into the store to see her, outside, on her 6th cigarette break of the day! Smoking, as a manger, in front of a family establishment is honestly unprofessional. My children get uncomfortable and I feel I have to avert their eyes and their breathing. And on the record of these "smoke breaks" these breaks happen multiple times over the work day and for at least 30-40 min while she chews out her employees for not clocking out for picking up an order from the chic fil a down the street for their fellow employees whom have been on their feet all day, working and producing amazing product, while she is outside smoking her 3rd pack that day or hiding in the office sending her husband inappropriate videos on instagram, which she shows and explains the content to her 16 year old employees! One instance I heard of was her sending her husband a video that was something along the lines of if Shay had a "dick" for a day and what she would do with it. DISGUSTING! Please either get her under control or let her go. I don't want to stop coming to this location, but it makes me so uncomfortable. read more

What can I say? The place is sparkling clean. The kids love the Blueberry Heaven - healthy and delish foods my kiddos love - lets go get it! We had excellent customer service. The smoothies were the right consistency and flavor. I tried their coffee flavored and it was just as good! I also forgot to have my rewards points added for the 1st time that week - all I had to do was email customer service with a picture of the receipt and they added the points - total 5 minutes transaction time. Doing two reviews in this one post, both get a one star. So my first encounter last week, I went in and ordered two smoothies to go. I ask if one could be in styrofoam cup because I wanted it to still be cold when I picked my son up from school. The young lady told me she could not give me styrofoam because it was not an online order. "We can only give out plastic cups when you walk in and purchase a smoothie. You get Styrofoam if it's an online order!" COMICAL! The smoothie cost the same regardless. Today..... went online to order my son a smoothie so I could have the amazing Styrofoam cup. However, the store was either closed or not taking online orders. So I called the store to see if they were open and they were. I asked if they were busy and the guy told me, "no there's actually no one in here right now." I asked him if I could place an order with him and pay for it when I got there or over the phone and he said no I can't do that. I said, "but you're not busy and you are not taking orders online." He said, "refresh your app (I was using Yelp) or you will have to come in." That's when I responded with, "but I want a Styrofoam cup." What is this world coming to? The employees are very rude! I accidentally dropped a smoothie and this one woman worker screamed "are u kidding me" I apologized multiple times because it was a accident. My daughter and I go to this location 3-4 times a week! We love the smoothie bowls. We get the same ones every time! There was always a guy and a girl who worked there and both we so nice and sweet! However the last two times we have gone there have been new people who were not familiar with the menu and made a complete mess out of our order. But today was next level! The girl with dark hair and a lot of Jewlery rolled her eyes when we asked her to correct the order. Was slamming things on the counter like she was very very angry. When she cut up the banana she looked at my daughter who is 13 and said in a very sarcastic snarky tone you want the rest of this banana which I thought was a bizarre question. When my daughter nicely said no thank you she threw the banana in the trash can. I tried to explain to her that we were not trying to be difficult but we wanted the correct ingredients on our smoothie bowls and she glared at me like I was crazy and dismissed my conversation by saying yeah and turned her back! We love Smoothie king but why would you want to frequent a business where the employees mock you for asking to get the order as it is described on their menu. It upset my daughter greatly!! Whoever owns this store needs to seriously do some customer service training and better employment checks because being hateful to your customers will not help your business at all. It was truly one of the worst experiences and that girl was so mean about the entire situation. And I said several times we are not trying to be difficult we just want the order made correctly! Another pretty standard Smoothie King chain, this one is conveniently located next to a bagel shop in the strip mall or across a parking lot from Chick-fil-a, in case you aren't the type to eat the weird snacks (ostrich jerky?!) they keep around the SK. The smoothies are pretty good and CAN be nutritious if you know what you are ordering, but range from 'mmmm, delicious' to 'cup full of ice and mineral flavored chalk' depending on who is blending it up for you. My biggest beef if the recent $1 price in crease across the board. Over $5 for a 20 ounces drink? Lame, I am getting good at making my own 'green monster' smoothies at home; healthier too! Come in here almost daily to get a smoothie for my son, it's always the same price and always the same thing. I come in today and they are out of cocoa powder so says can put protein powder instead. I say that's fine, so then she tells me the total which is over a dollar more than what I pay every day. I bring it up and the other girl (I assume the manager) comes over and says I have to pay for the protein powder. After I once again explain it's because they are out of cocoa and that is why we are putting the protein she very dryly once again says "you have to pay for it". No "I understand let me take care of it for you" or any kind of customer service what so ever. So then she makes the drink and it's too watery (she obviously made it wrong) so she adds two more scoops of ice. Which then made it way too thick. So now my son can't even drink it because it's basically like solid ice. So now he doesn't even get the protein he needed to get because it's so much ice. Very disappointed. Management should fix their manager and teach them to actually care about the customers who come in and spend money at their store. read more

I called in an order for my favorite smoothie, pomegranate punch - I was in a big hurry to get to work across the street which is why I phoned in my smoothie. However, I'm also pregnant and needed to eat as I'd skipped breakfast that morning. When I got there, I was told that the smoothie I ordered was no longer available. I was pissed for a minute because I was in a hurry, but the manager (presumably) immediately offered me a smoothie on the house AND helped me find a replacement for my long time favorite so I could get to work in time. After winning a game, we walk in with over 10 kids along with parents. There was only two working at Smoothie King that night. The two made all the drinks and were quick and very polite. Although I do not like their drinks (Gladiator Chocolate), we'll be back because the kids do. read more

Stopped by this location on a five dollar Friday and was treated very rudely. The 2 female staff were irritated because they thought they were not making enough tips. They angrily discussed the issue in front of me. They should be paid enough that they don't feel like they live on tips since they are not servers. How are they different than McDonald's employees who hand you your meal or scoop up the fries. People feel like tipping when clerks are friendly, helpful, and pleasant. I often stop at a SK on West End where the atmosphere is quite different and will gladly leave a small tip. read more
