Vendors vary week by week but there's usually a good variety of seasonal produce, baked goods, prepared foods, coffee, local honey, dairy, eggs, and meats. Personal favorites: The fruit from woodland farm is amazing - they had samples of their plums and after trying one, I had to buy a pint! Other stands I find myself going back to are Seacoast Mushrooms (great variety and mushrooms are so flavorful!), Sono baking (delicious pastries and English muffins), and the jitter bus (excellent coffee to sip on as you're browsing the market).

In addition to being a very well stocked grocery store with plenty of organic fresh produce, a good selection of bulk nuts, beans, flour and such, and many boxed, canned and frozen offerings for the vegetarian and vegan diet, if you head to the second floor you'll find all of the herbs, vitamins, supplements and answers to your questions if you have them about such things. Head back downstairs and order a wonderful smoothie, sandwich, or something nutritious and delicious from the hot bar - all vegan or vegetarian. I love the tofu salad, the falafel, and the tempeh reuben - my favorite. After ordering turnaround and allow yourself to be tempted by one (two? of the various vegan and vegetarian desserts. I love the vegan blueberry lemon scones and the vegan Boston Cream Cake or cupcake. The smoothies are amazing! I enjoy the veggie juices, Brenda's Brew or Vulture. Atmosphere is very comfortable. The main food options are in the second room, and it includes very well-stocked shelves. I was amazed and overwhelmed by the number of snack items they had. There is also a full wall of where your own, loose products like granola and nuts. I arrived in the middle of a weekend day, so there seemed to be not as many vegetables left. For example, I got the last carton of cherry tomatoes. There were also not as large options of vegetables, but I assume that is because most of the produce is local. The second space has a large variety of household and health products. I wonder how popular that part of the store is. One thing I did not like, though, was the prices were not always obviously posted or on the product itself. That always makes me a little worried, especially in a store that is generally on the more expensive side.
