Terrible customer service. They nickel and dime you for everything . I've paid way more than I intended because she sells it to you like an upgrade and she'll throw in a small area yet when you come for your appointment, she charges you for the area that she originally said she'd throw in. Plus she charged me a 25 dollar late fee when I called and gave ample notice; and for an appointment that is in total less than 5 minutes and most of those minutes are spent taking your money; this lady has lost her f***ing mind. I'm in a similar industry; would never do that to my clients and guess what? I still have them. I never see anyone in there so that might explain a lot, and a lot of why she's so desperate for money. I have had a very good experience. I have seen very good results with the process and Debbie has always been polite. She has been accommodating when I have needed to reschedule (always with plenty of notice) and has been easy to deal with. She is fast and knowledgeable about her trade and I think her prices are better than I have seen elsewhere with better results. If I knew the type of service that was provided here I would have not made the purchase in this location. Debbie was friendly over the phone when calling to ask questions; of course not surprised as they are speaking to a potential customer but after that she was a completely different person. Perception of all they care about is obtaining your money and once they have it those customer service skills on the initial call went out the window. First visit: I've had laser treatments before (different location in Southlake) I was paying as I would get them done until I realized I was over paying and could find deals in Groupon which is how I came across this location. In all of the treatments I received for just my full legs they took about 50 minutes. Here in Smooth Laser I purchased full legs, Brazilian and underarms and Debbie could have not rushed anymore than she did. SHE TOOK 25 MINUTES FOR 3 AREAS (I timed it). I made a comment about how fast it was and said that for a full leg it would normally would be an hour and she said she had experience that is NOT a reason to rush. She completely missed spots and didn't make squares on the legs either to help her keep track like they did at the other location and pretty much every where else (my friends are getting theirs done too but in Fort Worth). You'll end up wasting your money here as the job isn't performed how it's supposed to even though you are getting a deal. I would recommend to pay a little more else where to make sure every treatment is done correctly and get the results you are looking for. Completely agree with the other reviews. It felt as though, the laser technician was doing me a favor for a service I paid her for. I completed my treatments, and she was decently nice only on my last appointment. It is a shame it took so long. i will not be going back and do not recommend this place at all. My visit to Smooth Laser ended with police intervention. I bought a Groupon to Smooth Laser and instantly regretted it when I went to my first visit and met Debbie. My Groupon was for a small and a medium area. After she began treating my medium area, she offered laser on an area for an additional $157 (!)... This is an area that a previous laser location I went to included in the medium area that I chose. She was very rude to me when I questioned her treatment areas. She kept saying "it was on the Groupon," and when I told her the Groupon used the word "full" in it so I assumed it actually meant the "full" area like it should, she threw a hissy fit. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I noticed that she had missed some pretty visible portion. I left a negative review on here, and then I removed it a few hours after so that I could wait to see how my future sessions went. Unfortunately, my Groupon was for six sessions, so I went back today for my second one. She asked me about the last treatment and I told her truthfully that I wasn't satisfied. She then brought up my review complaint and asked me to remove it, at which point I told her that it was already down. Admittedly, she did a much better job using the laser this time (although she still refused to cover the full area), but there was one spot that she missed. When I asked her about it, she said she had done that spot (which would have meant that there shouldn't be hair in that spot). She continued on talking about the science of how laser works and I told her that I already knew that and I asked her again if she was going to do it on the area that she missed. She then said she would give me a refund for four sessions since I had already used two. She asked if I remembered how much it cost, and I said I could look it up. When I couldn't immediately find it, I told her that I thought the price was around $220 and she instantly started saying no and told me that she was going to call the police if I didn't leave. At no point prior to this statement did she ask me to leave. As she was telling me to leave immediately, she made a comment that I would only be refunded for half of the four sessions because Groupon takes a 50% cut. I had an issue with this because I paid for the other four full sessions, and if she wasn't willing to refund it all, then she should still give me the sessions. She refused to discuss this with me, even though I was telling her that I just wanted to confirm what she had said earlier about refunding the four sessions compared to what she was saying then. She claimed she had never said that I'd get a refund for the four sessions that I paid for. There was only about 1-2 minutes between her barking at me to leave to her actually making the police call, during which time I was gathering the belongings I had taken off. I ended up staying in the lobby until the police showed up to discuss the issue with them. During this time, she accused me of trying to make money out of this. I was only asking for the amount I paid for the four sessions and not a penny more. She also made a comment about me being ridiculous to her other client. Thankfully the police were more rational than she was and in the end I was assisted and given a trespassing warning so that she can call the police if I ever return, which is fine since I have zero desire to ever go back. This woman literally called the police on me pretty much instantly because she didn't want to discuss or fix her shoddy work. I wasn't yelling. I wasn't belligerent. I audio recorded the entire encounter because I wanted to show my husband how rude she was if she treated me the same way that she had last month. I listened to it before posting this review to confirm that I didn't misunderstand the situation or act aggressively. Debbie will boast about what a phenomenal job she does. With the exception of the patch she missed, she actually did do a good job this time around, and I would have been satisfied if I had received this treatment on my first visit, and in all the areas that I paid for, WITHOUT her "I don't cover that" and "you will be so happy with my work!" attitude. Also... When I arrived, she was asking a client to check out her Facebook. I wonder why she didn't ask her client to check out Yelp, where she was four reviews, all of which are the lowest reviews possible? read more

I read Groupon reviews and didn't believe yelp thinking these are only 3 reviews and now service provider must have improved. But UNFORTUNATELY I experienced exactly what all of these yelpers have experienced. Yes they nickel and dime for everything. I also felt like she is doing me a favor for a service I paid for. Not to mention I didn't get expected results on most of my areas. First she told me I will get great results in 3 sessions and I will be so happy with it. I didn't get any then I bought 3 more and she said it takes 6 minimum. Huh? I already had 6 from previous so I should be getting result within 3 and with 3 more I should be DONE. But no I don't see any change. Then during my initial visits she was so promising so I bought few more areas and now I am regretting my purchases since I spent almost 1000$. When I expressed my concern that I am not getting expected result, she said I have many other happy clients??? WTH Excuse me they didn't pay you for me. I paid for the service. So you should be focusing on me when you are taking my money for nothing. She always rushed me so much. I also asked her why would you ask me not to shave areas??? Because if I don't and if I have long hair then you won't be hitting hair follicles but just burning superficial hair and skin. She didn't have any answer for me except saying HERE I DO MY WAY. Absolutely no customer service skills, she talks down to her customers, and she rushes through as quickly as possible once you start the treatments. Summer is here and I am ready I had my legs done my armpits done my chin my upper lip I am hairless and ready for the beach! I will not be going back to this place! Customer skills are not the best especially the guy at the front desk. When I finish the 6 sessions with the Groupon deal, I was offered to purchase another 6 sessions at the same price. I said no as she was finishing my under arms and she said no you need it and started doing the laser on my face when I had said no not at the moment. I felt obligated to purchase since she pretty much did not care that I said no. The price was not the same as the Groupon price. I was not able to make it to my last appointment so I called to reschedule. She did say since I didn't give a 24 hour notice I would owe a $25 fee. I said that's fine I understand. Today when I went in the guy at the front desk said it's $50 for not giving enough notice he was laughing as he said it so I thought he was joking. I explained that over the phone 3 weeks ago she said $25. Just because the fee changed ever since does not make it right. I would of paid the $25 fee!! I left mad and upset I do not care that I will lose my 5 sessions that were left. These people are shady and makes me wonder why they keep on moving location. I purchased the laser sessions for the Southlake location and they notify me the day of my previous laser treatment that they are now in keller!! I would not had purchased a new session if I knew they are moving, Keller is way to far for me. Do not waste your money or time here. This business closed down but I want to give my review in case Debbie reopens at a different location. She's shady and dishonest. I took my teenage daughter here for underarms hair removal. Debbie was friendly but there was something about her that bugged me. I should've listened to my gut. At our third session, we asked about doing my daughter's belly line. She immediately lasered it without really confirming if that's what we wanted then charge me. Later that night, my daughter broke out in that area. I thought it was hives or a rash (we've never had laser treatments before.) I called Debbie the next day and she instructed me to put cream on it but she can't offer any refunds. And that jeans or pants probably rubbed on the area causing irritation. Before the next session, Debbie shut down her business but thankfully Hidden Door Med Spa honored her clients' packages. They are heaven sent and 1000x more professional. The tech looked at my daughter's belly area where I thought had broken out in hives and said it wasn't hives but that Debbie BURNT her. BURNT.MY.DAUGHTER. My daughter is biracial with a darker skin tone. Debbie did not have the right equipment for darker skin tones. She was using the same machine/setting for all her clients regardless of color. I'm a strong believer that everything happens for a reason and that Debbie closed down before she could continue to burn my daughter and deceive other clients. I also believe in karma and hope her shady business won't be able to continue to harm people. read more
