Baring in mind that I regularly wax and have for years, it actually hurt during the waxing to the point where I had to ask her if she had waxed a male before. To that end, I had to go as far as coaching her to keep my skin taunt while removing the wax among a host of other issues during the session. Upon my exit, I informed the receptionist that the session was not satisfactory to the point the extent it was painful and that I would like a call from the manager. I got a voicemail 9 days later and I have returned her call twice now with no communication from the European Wax Center on Providence Blvd in 4 weeks.

Melissa's services include injectables (e.g., neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and collagen stimulators), skin rejuvenation (e.g., microneedling and chemical peels), laser hair removal, spider-vein removal, weight-loss medication, and more. I had wrinkles on my middle-aged forehead, so in June 2025, I made an appointment for a consultation with Melissa to discuss getting a neurotoxin for the first time. I appreciated that she had evening appointments available. We discussed Botox and Xeomin, their rare side effects, their expected results, and their prices. I chose to receive Xeomin, which relaxes the facial muscles similarly to Botox but is purified of proteins and costs less. In that same appointment, Melissa injected 31 units of Xeomin into my forehead and between my eyes. The needle hurt only slightly. She used a Patient Rewards phone app to charge my credit card. She applied a coupon discount, but she charged me for 36 units rather than 31 units. Later, she gave me a refund for the extra 5 units. Two weeks later, I had a follow-up appointment. When I lifted my eyebrows, I no longer had three rows of wrinkles across my forehead. Instead, I had just one much-smaller wrinkle above one eyebrow and more movement in my outer eyebrows compared to my inner and middle eyebrows. For many weeks my forehead still looked very good. Because of a vacation, a head cold, and my body's response to the first administration of Xeomin, I made my next appointment for October 2025. Melissa again injected 31 units of Xeomin into my forehead. After a $50 discount and a credit-card convenience fee, my total price was $361.82.
